Yep, you can see them here (Concordia) and here (Sundari). Another! There's definitely a certain appeal to dueling in front of Mandalorian murals. The show's arguably best duels took place in front on them.
Thanks for that, Circular Logic, that Concordia mural is actually new to me.. as in, I wasn't aware of it, though I'm sure I saw it in passing without realizing. The one I had in mind when I posted was this one which is another Sundari mural I think.
Can someone explain to me how to post a GIF from DeviantArt? I have one over there but I can't seem to get it to work here.
Not sure what system you're using, but if you have a PC, have you tried right-clicking the image, choosing "Copy image URL," and pasting it to the JC address field for images? Edit: I should mention it doesn't always work for all images -- some are blocked by Deviantart itself unless you're logged in.
Whoa whoa whoawhoawhoa..... no. Sorry. I never noticed the similarities in our names before. No, I just think he's done a superb job as sadistic Joffrey. And from what I've seen in interviews, he seems like a rather nice dude, a contrast from Joff. Look up "Jack Gleeson answers questions at university" or something like that. It's a rather charmingly humorous discussion.
^Totally. I've seen alot of VA's behind the mic and Witwer is fantastic to watch as ridiculous as he looks. He isn't the best VA but man if every VA put this into their role. Witwer pretty much loses himself in it.
He does a great job as a VA, IMO; he'd have been far better for Palpatine than Carey, I think, given his track record in that role. And I think, despite them both being in the same "voice," the Son and Darth Maul both have distinct inflections that make it sound like they're not actually the same character.
I think you're right but it actually worked out for the better, IMO. The only thing that bothers me about Witwer's Maul is "Vee-soo-lah" and "Lawds of the Siff" and "Khhnehhbee."
For me it was the constant seething and saliva sucking sounds that he made with Maul. The biggest instance of which that immediately comes to mind is that initial meeting of Maul and Obi-Wan in TCW. "I am surprised you could have forgotten me so easily after I killed your master and you left me for dead on Naboo. You may have forgotten me, but I haven't forgotten you" (or however the line goes). Maybe I am misremembering, but I seem to recall him constantly sucking back saliva after every couple words it seemed.
Yeah it was gross. And really distracting for me too. Witwer was at his best as Maul when he was speaking softly and calmly while plotting and such.
As hard as I laughed reading that I really don't remember him ever saying it like that. And I rewatched all the episodes he's in countless times.
I vaguely recall the latter two, but my memory might be exaggerating the lines. Personally I've greatly enjoyed Witwer's enthusiasm for his SW roles. I like Shakespeare, so overacting is well within my tastes.
