No, we just haven't posted here I've been all over the place. Right now two of our more active posters are on vacations, and away from computer access, while a third is doing his duty for the Canadian Navy in the Persian Gulf, so it's pretty much just me and Derisa. I haven't seen Dawn about much, but I hope she'll be back soon.

So how was everyone's Christmas? Was Santa good to you?

Whether on not YJN chooses to believe it is a different matter, Mike, but at least he's not asking us if we died this time. Yup, guilty as charged, I decided to spend 24 hours during the Christmas season with family visiting from Kelowna and doing favours for friends instead of logging on to the boards and feeling sad over RMCOY's resignation and farraday being called a moron over on the JC. Given the choice again, I'd still go see Two Towers with the brother and his family that I haven't seen in three years.

And how are you, Chris? Haven't seen you in the Bar & Grill since you dropped by to double-check our Serving It Right certification.

Mixes up a batch of blue eggnog for YoungJediNiagara and hands him a glass.

Polar Bear on Ice, with a twist of mint, 'kay?

[watches in disbelief as Rani pours out a half jigger of creme de menthe, two ounces of vodka and shakes them expertly over three ice cubes, and then adds equal measures of Godiva chocolate liquer and skim milk, pours the whole into a cute polar-bear shaped glass, giving the whole thing a stir with a mint candy stick, and then garnishing the drink with a sprig of mint.]

Warning: never under-estimate this woman behind the bar... Now, I *need* that drink!

I'm not the only one that has asked, I thought Mike was going to loose his head when he asked the same thing a few posts back.

I'm very well Veronica, I haven?t gone anywhere I've been checking the forums as usual on a daily bases.

I figured I'd try a new approach. Instead of asking where everyone is, I'll try to generate more activity in the forum, with your help, if you don't object.

*quickly pokes her head in, scans the thread* Of course, unless I'm vastly mistaken....CrazyMike's question was one regarding only this particular thread....just this one. Whereas what was said some time ago....was *not*. It was rather more broad and far-reaching then, rather more overt, I daresay. Just - clarifying a little something, is all.

Been a somewhat insane holiday season all around, though, that I'd wager in any case....part and parcel of the reason why I've only recently been able to get back in here. Busy little bee and all that.... I must say, though, that I do miss 2002....still wonder where the whole year went....and I can only hope that 2003 is somewhat better for me. I mean, I really need that. On the other hand....as 2002 has gone by, and 2003 will do the same....slowly-but-surely, it brings us that much closer to the hallowed date of May 2005. And that I am *more* than cool with.

I haven't gone anywhere Mike. I've been waiting for a post to be edited before I add a story chapter to one of my fics. Over Christmas I was working almost daily, and very tired whenever I finished work,(I am so out of shape! ) so I have mostly been reading along with various threads in other forums, as well as writing story pieces for my various fics.

It was a quiet holiday for me (if you can call it that) as my kids were with the co-parents, and I was working, but I had a good time. It's good to be working, now I have to prep for my move!

Looking forward to seeing you this evening, Dawn! I'll give you all the details then!

I see nothing so hostile in any of my replies whenever Mike has missed us for our company. Mike's questions certainly didn't seem accusatory in tone, or contrived in their nature to provoke certain responses. (I'll stop talking about him in the third person now.)

Mike, if you ever have any problems with the way *anyone* treats you on this forum, don't hesitate to PM me or a moderator of your choice.

As to your question, YJN, perhaps we should step outside and let these folks enjoy their drinks in peace.

Shara_82, welcome! We always appreciate seeing new faces in here! In fact, this bar and grill was inspired by the Vic Pub and Local social thread on the Victoria, Australia forum, so you're probably already familiar with the drill: order a drink or something to eat, and kick back and relax! We're not really as zany as the blokes in that other Victoria chapter, but not for lack of trying!

Both the bar and kitchen are open, what can we get for you?
