I am hoping it will be something big that gets my interest. With Soule and Gray though, I have a lot of faith. I just hope it is not FACPOV sequel.

 

All right, I'll bite, on the basis of the info in Soule's tweet how are people concluding this is a sequel to FACPOV but for ESB?

Because every sense I get from it says it's something else entirely of a multimedia nature.

 

On one hand, the "luminous beings are we" quote is from ROTJ, but then again, so is "from a certain point of view", so...

 

That's awfully cryptic, Resident Evil style puzzle cryptic.

 

I'm seeing four possibilities. From most likely to least likely:

• A series finally telling the story of Luke and his Jedi Order prior to Kylo destroying it
• A series or short story collection about Jedi during the Galactic Republic era
• An "ESB FACPOV" book
• Post-Episode 9 stories about Rey and her Jedi Order (assuming she survives and creates one)

I'm hoping for that first one, because I'm dying to see what went down between Luke, Leia, Kylo, Snoke, and Lor San Tekka (interactions that might be even more interesting once we've seen what surprises might be lurking in Episode 9).

Oh, you're right, it's from ESB. I misremembered it as Yoda saying it when Luke goes back to Dagobah in ROTJ and Yoda's dying in bed.

 

2020 will be the 40th anniversary of Empire too.....

This will be the story of the Force itself, told through those who retained their identity and returned from the Netherworld: Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Yoda, Anakin, Luke, and for a twist, that cackling fellow at the end of the IX trailer.

 

My thoughts exactly. If the movie does finally open that huge mystery door of Force Ghosts, etc the books will finally be allowed to go through and explored that idea.

 

Please be set in the Old (or even pre) Republic era. I’m dying to see some stories set in those periods.

Or at least something Jedi related that is live action/animation.

 

from the site it says the teaser had the quote from Obi-Wan in ANH how The force is an energy field created by all living things and then UNTIL and Project Luminous. So going down the logic trail, and the someone official name of "Project", like it's a project some science people are working on, it seems that the Force is created by all living things UNTIL there is something called Project Luminous trying to change or replicate that.

Basically, I've just figured out that this will be a multimedia project about the science-y backstory about how Palpatine comes back.

 

A story about Pre-Jake Luke is also welcomed.

I want to get some heroic stories of him traveling the galaxy searching for Jedi artifacts. Eventually seeing him with a young Ben. Getting explanations into what drove Luke’s future students into wanting to become Jedi.

 

I'm thinking TESB's version of From a Certain Point of View.

 

This is intriguing. I don't think it's an ESB FACPOV because of how much they're hyping it. They're saying it's a huge project and is going to be a big deal. I don't think that would qualify for an ESB version of something we had for ANH. I think that would be a much smaller deal. That's not to say I didn't enjoy FACPOV. It was great and I fully expect to get one for ESB. However, I highly doubt this is it.

 

TPM FACPOV. Give us that Tales from Mos Espa we always wanted, dammit!

 

Anthony Carboni on the Star Wars Show Live stage kept asking the relevant authors of it was a series of something. Now, I don't think he knows what it is anymore than we do. However, the impression he got is a series of something.
