Oh, no, no, it doesn't work that way.

I looked up the item and saw the date had changed.

I might axe it and nab it from SciFier after pay day in a couple of days.

Did we know that Frog Mama from The Mandalorian is a Rybet before this book? Because page 86 definitely implies the Frog couple were Rybets!

I am nearly halfway through, looks like the gangs all here

Good to see the crew of the Vessel, Reath, and the Nihil girl.

Also dang Great progenitor, you should have just gone to the planet the jedi wanted to sent you. Unless they are spreading the blight? will see.

Also man Czerka suck haha, was this their first canon appearance?

Wellllll, that was a twist. Also I was wrong about tying up some stories.

The magic wookie trees, 'talk' to the Drengir and convert them to herbivores. Interesting and not bad, but I am a little sad they had to lose all they had before. but it is an end to their story and it is nice to see.

Also wow Geode(used self-destruct, it was super effective) saved the day. Sad, but I kinda don't mind, he was always a joke character, but was well done.
Shame the Sith artifact (and holcron) were destroyed.... well mostly destroyed.

    The funeral is nice.

OH that about the blight is less interesting after they explain it. Shame they aren't going to try to recreate it.

And we get some more with Ro's assistant, who I still think is a Sith.

I'm about halfway. Interesting tidbit about Wookiee Jedi not having quite a strict an application of the non-attachment rules, remembering their families and regularly visiting Kashyyyk for brief periods due to their affinity for the forests. It makes sense with their longer lifespans that their mental development would be over a longer period, delaying the time when they would be brought into the Jedi Order. L

Made me wonder about Yoda's species. How do their brains develop and at what age do they come into the Order. Grogu is 50 years old 30-ish years after the Republic and Jedi Order fell. So, I guess they are taken earlier than Wookiees.

Darth SciFier, Darth SpeedyHen has failed, do not follow them:

    https://scifier.com/star-wars-the-high-republic-into-the-light-claudia-gray-9781368095181/

Now, there is £2 postage but also 10% off on three or more SF / fantasy books! So, assemble the right package and you will get Into The Light at a lower cost and save a couple of quid, even with the postage factored in.

That 10% offer will end in the next few days, not sure when exactly.

SciFier do take longer to despatch than SpeedyHen but send timetable info that has been pretty good on previous orders.

For a single item buy, Blackwells is your best bet.

Had thought SH might be worth a try as I think I saw you and some others nabbing LFL Press books from them, but that might have been a one-off.

Go for 4 items and it's 50p postage per item.

SciFier also have the DHC High Republic Adventures and the Hyperspace Stories: Qui-Gon trade.

Finished reading this late last night.

I would give it a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars.

More detailed thoughts beneath the spoiler tag for those interested.

This was my favorite entry from Claudia Gray in the High Republic era. I especially loved her development and depiction of Reath and Affie in this novel. We can see how much they have both grown since the first High Republic YA novel also written by Claudia Gray, and that is super satisfying.

The worldbuidling and the connections to the Sith were also fascinating.

I think fans of Wookies will especially enjoy this one as well as those who might have wanted more of a Sith presence in the High Republic era because of the connections to Sith lore that I mentioned.

Also, for fans of the Acolyte show, Kelnacca is present and plays a fairly prominent role in the plot.
