I haven't been to this board for a while... what having a powersupply blow up on you will do.... anyway...


Do you find yourself giggling with glee when you see a certain fictional character? Just one character????

Can you quote a passage (or entire movie) word for word? "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...."

Does new technology make you drool, esspecially computers or Audio/video technology? ATI ALL-IN-WONDER 9000.... with remote control....

Do you have multiple copies of the same item? (Action Figure, Movie) um... does DVD And VHS count as well?

Do you not only keeping up on technology items but justify the cost of the upgrade because your previous item is already a year old? um... I can't afford that...

Do you have one Star Wars Shirt for every day of the week? yes... but I don't wear them very often...

Do you embrace days dedicated to Harry Potter/Star Wars/ Lord of the Rings/Star Trek or any other fictional series? hee hee, costumes

I think I qualify... how about this, right now I look like I should be getting makeup on for an Elf in LOTR.... seriously, I love my dresses, and I'm constantly making new ones.

Oh, and anime... Love Sailor Moon (Before I met my boyfriend, I thought Darien was cute), Digimon, Dragon Ball Z, Gundam Wing, and my new favourite, which I'm even learning French so I can read the comics for, is Yugioh! The game seems easier than Magic: The Gathering.

Another show I liked was Earth: Final Conflict (filmed in Toronto), too bad it's over.

And yes, I have cable so I can watch YTV and Space.

I could continue, but I have to get back to work now, my lunch is over... oh yeah, my work is Computer Technical support.... How geeky is that?????

 

If any of you would like to see some of my geek-ness, I will be bringing a picture tomorrow night (for Josh's sake cuz I promised I'd show him) of me when I was younger, dressed in a my-size-barbie, ballerina outfit. lol. Yes, I was like, 8 or 9, but I was still a geek then.

I've also got a geek question.

Have you ever played the flute, and been so geekish in wanting to practice over the summer that you brought it with you to camp (AFTER seeing AP)? lol. meh, I did really want to practice, and I did,
and people liked my music. lol.

You know you are a geek when you wake up early on a dy of to dress in the costumes in front of 8000 screaming , drunk football fans.

....when the first thing you do is check the boards when you wake up even before I eat my Nut 'n Honey and take my morning pee!!

 

I've never seen American Pie, and I probably never will, even if it does have the girl who plays Willow (Allyson Hannigan?).... but I always take my flute to camp with me.

You know you're a geek when you're single and you find out a single guy your age has joined your club and you email to say hi (but really check out your prospects) within 1.2 seconds of finding out. But you don't want to ask if he's single and be too forward so you keep sneaking in things hoping to get him to say until the head of the club takes pity on you and finds out for you. Then when you mess up MSN you panic he'll forget you in the 2 days before you meet so you email your phone number. Then before you leave to meet him you debate for 5 minutes which top to wear to best show your 'features'. Then when you meet him you think you're in control but find out your whole club has been secretly laughing at your horrible flirting and have made up a long running inside joke about it.

You know you're a geek when you sit around wearing a Jedi costume for no reason until 3:00am with some other geeks in costume, after all the other geeks have left.

*This geek happily skips downstairs to wash dishes*

 

OK Janet, you've earned a spot on our distinguished list. Anyone who slaves to get a lovely new jedi costume finished just to go watch a movie and hang out with a room full of geeks....has got to be one!

 

I just realized that amongst all the wonderful and eccentric geeks that have flocked to join our wee club here I have yet to justify my claim as a geek. I will ponder the geekery my geekyness has geeked its way through.

I'm too tired to think. I didn't get home last night till 3:30, and I had be at work for 9:30.
