Absolutely! Its intriguing... I was settled on the idea that rank = time of induction, and that would mean that the Second Sister was the very first one who joined after the Grand Inquisitor, but there is no concrete evidence of this, just a theory. Its obviously not experience, with Tenth Brother being a former Jedi master...

Very interesting! Somehow, a Quarren Inquisitor has always made sense to me, perhaps because of Maleval and Azard. Second Sister was in the comic too, they brought her design from the game to the comic, then? that's pretty good work from the Story Group!

Interestingly there was one design for an Inquisitor that was fully armored knight/samurai type with Vader's leather body suit underneath sporting a black and gold First Order insignia brooch.

The timeline and ranking system of the Inquisitors as a whole are really confusing IMO. We see in the Darth Vader comic that most of the Inquisitors were already there a few days at most after ROTS and Palpatine states that he's been planning this for a while. But the Second Sister was turned shortly after the purge, so if the codenames are ranks then how come that Fifth, Seventh and Eight didn't move up a few numbers when it appears that they were the only Inquisitors around?

My headcanon is that many of them very abducted during the war or turned slightly before and they initially got their codenames based on rank but then for reason unknown it just became their names.

The first Second Brother or Sister then got killed by Maul and that's the saber that he has in Solo and Rebels. Then when the Second Sister that we know from fallen order got turned she simply took the codename and place of the former Second Inquisitor.

You mean after order 66. The Jedi Purge was still going on in Jedi Fallen Order.

Order 66 marks the start of the Jedi Purge the Jedi Purge didn’t official end at least in legends until Obi Wan’s death

The Inquisitors according to the comic book were already in existence & in training, before Darth Vader got repaired - so sometime during or before ROTS . And perhaps much earlier if we take into account Sidious' "Children of the Force" arc.

The Purge Troopers were also created specifically for this game and their armor is lightsaber resistant that allows them to take several hits. This didnt appear to be the case in the comic though, lol.

The mysterious Taron Malicos I wonder if he's a rogue Inquisitor since that emblem he uses on his chest(and on the Nightbrothers) looks like the Inquisitor lightsaber and he uses red blades.

Sounds like there is a lot of pretty nice material in that book!
It is confusing, indeed! because if an Inquisitors death sort of "vacates" his or her spot in the ranking system, why Eighth Brother is still ranked eighth 15 years after the death of Sixth Brother? What I mostly don´t get, is that in Ahsoka, Sixth was apparently looking for a promotion; if his naaaame is Sixth, and that name implies rank, how on earth is he going to rank above Fifth? They aren't changing his name... but maybe they change his station/status? because in Mon Cala, Ninth seemed to be the highest ranking one of those 3...

It is wonderful book and not that much money on Amazon.

Haxion Brood capo Sorc Tormo is definitely modeled on an early Dryden Vos concept piece, with his innards exposed.

Some art pictured a helmet wearing Cal. One version of the helmet was pretty much Rey's training helmet seen on the Hot Toys TROS figure but Cal's version had an open area exposing the mouth.

There was gonna Imperial battle droids in the cut content as well, they were armed with all sorts of lightsaber parrying red electro melee weapons reminiscent of those used by the FO/ KOR /Praetorians/Sith Troopers.

A Savage Opress looking Nightbrother complete with the same shoulder armor, doghandler was drawn up as well.

So, I learned recently that the Darth Vader Vol.2 Hardcover will be available in February, which got me quite happy because I've been waiting it all year, haha. I was reading randomly Vol.1 and I found what I think is the answer of something that has long puzzled me: how could Jocasta Nu erase the Jedi Temple data, and the Grand Inquisitor tell Kanan, 15 years later, that "the Temple archives are quite complete?".

I finally have what I think may be the answer, I´ll add the image right here:
This is issue #2, when Vader goes to Brighthome, a Jedi space station located in the Mid Rim. In the first panel, its stated that there is a backup from the primary records of the Temple there! I imagine this backup doesn't mean the whole Jedi archive, but what Brighthome needed as information in a regular basis, so it makes perfect sense that a temple like the one in Lothal wasn't known by the Empire. It also makes the Inquisitors work very important in that way, because everytime they get to find a temple or station (like Fifth and Seventh in Rebels, or Second in the Fallen Order comic) they had the chance to complement the existing information.

With probably other stations like Brighthome captured by the Empire, information like the Jedi masters preferred techniques and preferences of study where probably found in any base, station or temple devoted to the instruction of younglings and padawans (even in Brighthome itself) but that hidden knowledge the Grand Inquisitor was after when he turned was probably lost, so Jocasta did have the last word when forbidding him access to it. All in all, just excellent planning and attention to detail from Charles Soule, I think!

Part of the storyline for Fallen Order was that Eno Cordova foresaw the Jedi being betrayed and slaughtered , so went to the Jedi Council but they didn't believe him. Only one that did was his friend Jocasta Nu, who went into the archives for Eno and downloaded back up files mainly pertaining to all the Force Sensitive children not yet affiliated with the Jedi to be in his in safe keeping. Eno then hid the holocron in the Zeffo vaulted tomb which are not easily accessible to anybody.

The marvel comic also had Nu and her assistant Gar storing and even recording and a massive cache of Jedi holocrons that Luke would later find.

Being that the Republic and Jedi were so intertwined and more so during Palpatine's reign as supreme chancellor/dictator, am sure their was lots of leaks and stored intelligence data on the Jedi Order. Also traitors like the Grand Inquisitor and perhaps others would've aided the Imperial Intelligence gathering and of course the Sith. But like you're saying, with Order 66 it was designed to take them off guard, so before the Jedi could react am sure lots of material and data fell into the Clones and Inquisitors hands. Plus am certain the Confederacy had material on the Jedi too which would've fell into Imperial hands if it did not already the Sith.

Always assumed that bit about the archives was something that was going to be addressed later on, but it was already there. Fallen Order also took a lot of earlier material of jedi and inquisitors and built up from there, the SG is doing a great job!

According to Obi Wan in AOTC it was thought impossible to tamper with the Jedi Archives, but apparently Dooku had before he left. In Jedi Lost its very odd to impossible how he could walk back into the temple himself after he left the order back on Sorreno.

So, in the mandalorian, Gideon was an ISB agent. No chance he has the support of one of these guys on the matter of baby yoda in season 2? I still think there are plenty of chances around the "should be all dead by ROTJ" claim from lucasfilm, especially since Gideon himself kinda looked like one.

An Inquisitor could make sense in the Mandalorian, considering how Force related the interest in Baby Yoda appears to be; that being said, I sadly think they put themselves in a corner with the "all dead before BBY" policy. Still, I do think they could work around it, like having an Inquisitor that was presumed dead return to the hunt... I somewhat get the feeling that the Fourth Sister would be perfect for a show like this, looking mandatorian and all. If she is only used in the Return to Castle Vader comic, it would be a waste of an interesting looking character; right now she could use a little development to set her apart from Second and Seventh.

Anyway, weren't we getting a book about the Grand Inquisitor kidnapping Force sensitive children?

It has always been my belief that limiting the direction things can do hinders the overall universe. From statements like all the Inquisitors are dead by such and such a point in time to the fact that UT-60Ds were a limited resource.

I´ll try to find it, since I learned about it right in this forum! I searched a little bit, but can't seem to find it now to send you a reference. It was, to be more precise, a story or chapter within a book, I think.

Mmm, not sure if its the case to me, it depends on how you see it. Did Fallen Order felt like a Rebels prequel to you? If that's the case, its very possible you would feel the same with the Mandalorian, should an Inquisitor appear. I feel that seeing Sabine or Ahsoka would be more obtrusive, since the Inquisitors were iconic antagonists in the series, true, but no more exclusive to it than Thrawn or Maul in later seasons...

Regarding Fallen Order, isn't it interesting that the Inquisitor base is in the same system as Vader's Castle? And they got it there before him, since the TROS VD said that it was built in 12 BBY

The VD might be wrong as the castle was first planned pretty early on
