The leaked AMC memo stated there would be a double-feature offered on the 14th, likely with The Force Awakens playing earlier in the evening and then The Last Jedi playing at 8 or 9 for the early preview showing, which has taken the place of the traditional midnight premier over the past few years.

Darn. Oh well, I suppose they will do that again for IX, as we will have the full 9 episode saga to watch at that point.

Went to my theater today to see if I could fool them into selling me tickets. Would've worked if they weren't behind the security. The girl selling tickets was able to see the date and showtimes, but it wouldn't allow her to select them. =((

This isn't a rumor anymore. I just got a notification from Cinemark directly stating Last Jedi tickets on sale Monday! I... don't think that should have leaked, but it went out to all Cinemark (Century and Cinemark) theater patrons who are registered. So there it is, officially confirmed.

Local Regal 19 (formally Santikos) has the times listed but can't buy them.

I told myself (and my wife) that I wanted to see TLJ on IMAX 3D this time around. Will probably see it twice like all other episodic SW movies.

But the showtimes look a LOT more limited than TFA's were.

There will likely be more showings added as we get closer to the premiere. Right now they've probably been instructed to only schedule specific showtimes or just one screen, but more will probably added a week before or so.

I wonder if there will be any special events with double features outside US, but I doubt it.

Yeah the showtimes literally make no sense. There isn't even an IMAX for 7 pm?! It's apparently at midnight and 9 pm or something I don't even get it. So I guess I do the double feature in garbage regular show times and then immediately after IMAX? Just so stupid. Wow.

Do the theatres who have leaked showtimes show the running time?

    Not that I can see.

They're also doing a Star Wars Marathon again. I really hope I'll be able to get to it this time.

It's times like these that I wish there were chain theatres within 100 miles of my home. All of the theatres here are locally owned so they never get in on the marathons/fan events with film releases.

Same here, pal. Same here. We have two little mom-and-pop theater chains and while there is an opening night event at one of them, they have only one screen (!) and don't keep movies in for very long. No idea when they're going to start selling tickets.

Important to note that earliest showing of TLJ is now 6:00pm local time as part of the double features and marathons.

I am wondering whether to do a double bill or directly go only to the midnight screening.

What would you guys recommend me?

I think a double bill is going to be reasonable and probably the most epic thing ever...

Yeah, I think a double bill, if it's available and I have time, would be awesome. I would love to see TFA on the big screen again, and then TLJ right after.

An eight movie marathon? That would be (assuming a 150 min runtime for TLJ) around 18 hours. That's a long time to be sitting around watching movies, even when they're Star Wars. Now re-watching them all at home over the next few weeks, that's a given.

Guys you might want to start checking whoever you buy tickets from. I was just looking at the Goodrich site and they have tickets on sale right now TLJ.

I did the marathon last time. I'm glad if did it, but it was a little rough. It was about 20 hours total in the same room. I'd prefer if they maybe did a couple movies a night that week. If be into that, but if it's all in one go again I'll just do my marathon at home.

No, just the Saga, no spin-offs. As closely intertwined with the Saga as Rogue One is, it’s still technically a stand-alone film set outside of the Saga, so it makes sense.

I just checked Fandango again. They have the showtimes listed, but they're not buy-able yet. I expect that to change at around 8 pm Eastern time tomorrow. That's would match what happened with TFA.
