So can we now canonically blame Rey that Palpatine learned he might not survive Endor and rushed his contingency rebirth plans just in time to be reborn at all?

If so, it's a paradox... without Rey's timetravel, Palpatine would not be aware of his future failure and not prepare for a rebirth. But if he does not, Rey would not even exist, thus not travel back in time, and he would not prepare.

That means, Disney Canon is circular time and a neverending loop and the Legends-verse is the true timeline free of the loop... thx Lego for confirming that!

So to start the loop someone from Legends must have travelled in time and warned Palpatine, so he prepared, it lead to Rey, and Rey travelled in time to reinforce the loop... what Flowwalker might that have been originally, eh?

I love Vaders awkward reaction to learning he threw Palpatine down a reactor shaft.
And Kylo's half hearted denial that he would ever throw his Master down said reactor shaft.:p

Kylo was way more chummy to see Emperor Palpatine this time around ;p

Also yes Emperor is higher in the hierarchy than Supreme Leader.

    great small character bit that

Pre-OT Luke was just guzzling blue milk mindlessly with no clue what was going on. Oh and Vader v Vader was fantastic. '/spoiler]

My interpretation of the "canon" version of the special is sort of broad strokes, like much Lego turns out to be

On Life Day, Rey is training Finn and is kinda missing the point, she consults the sacred Jedi Texts, finds a temple, has a Jedi Force vision (probably Yoda Force ghost appears) that jumps across the saga, sees the masters and apprentices caring for each other, realizes that she has to be more concerned about Finn. On the Falcon, there is a group having Life Day feast which Rey comes back for the end.

As for Sheev/Vader/and Kylo's canon version... eh, decade skipping dark side visions and so forth.

BTW, in case anyone's curious I threw together a (probably incomplete) timeline.
    Episode I: The Phantom Menace
-Rey and BB-8 hide under the desk as Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon wait for the Trade Federation
-The Podrace gets caught in the time vortex thing during Rey and Vader's fight
-Half of Darth Maul is seen at the Lars homestead, so probably time vortex

Episode II: Attack of the Clones
-Rey and BB-8 spy on Anakin and Obi-Wan, who catch them

    The Clone Wars
-Two random clones get caught in the time vortex

Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
-During the fight on Mustafar, Anakin and Obi-Wan get caught in the time vortex

    Episode IV: A New Hope
-Giant battle at the Lars homestead, young Luke accidently gets taken to the future
-Rey helps Luke blow up the Death Star

Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
-During the Battle of Hoth, Vader vs. Vader
-Rey and BB-8 spy on Luke and Yoda

Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
-Death Star II scenes, Rey & Luke vs. Darth Vader & Kylo Ren

    The Mandalorian
-The Skirmish on Nevarro gets caught in the time vortex

    Episode VII: The Force Awakens
-Old!Han is seen at the Lars homestead, so probably time vortex

    Episode VIII: The Last Jedi
-Kylo Ren gets picked up by Palpatine and Vader (probably after the events of the film, given that he's Supreme Leader)

Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
-Some of the Sith Eternal forces get caught in the time vortex

The elevator scene was likely intended to be Episode II, though their outfits and skins imply it takes place sometime during the TCW.
The fact that they don't specifically mention what their mission is means it could be handwaved away as being later in the war, though the context clearly is meant to allude to AOTC.

    I honestly think

they already had animation model for Ep III Anakin and since it was just barely a 30 second scene they just ran with it instead of making an Ep II Anakin since Ep III Anakin is the one who shows up on Mustafar and falls through the time vortex. But the scene is meant to be the Ep II elevator ride.

But it wasn't Ep III Anakin, it was TCW Anakin. You can tell he is wearing the armor from the series.
I might be able to buy them not bothering with the model if it wasn't for the fact that most of the models in special seem to be the same ones they are using for Lego: The Skywalker Saga (At least based off the few clips we have from that game). I mean, AOTC Obi-Wan is literally on the box of the game, not sure how they were unable to get the accurate models here? I'm guessing it was just an oversight somehow?

really, I didn't look that closely, I thought it was the same animation model for the Ep III Anakin that is on Mustafar and falls through the time vortex that is the same one used in the elevator scene

One thing that I did notice in the credits was that we have another Kelly Marie Tran credit for Rose, which was awesome. The lady who did Rey was pretty bang on too. Finn needs a bit of work, Poe is pretty close. And of course more Billy Dee and Anthony Daniels.

The Vader voice for Lego is always hilarious, I know LFL uses him for regular Vader too (Which he's excellent at) but I love "Chad Vader" voice the slightly more pitched and irritated fumbling one.

Nope, the Mustafar scene is accurate to the film but Anakins outfit in the elevator is straight out of TCW.
Obi-Wan's outfit in the elevator is the same one from ROTS however. Which frankly just makes it even more bizarre since they each wearing something from a different entry into the franchise for some reason.

Of course since its not canon there isn't much point in freaking out over it, but it is a very curious oversight since all other episodes and era's are represented accurately in how the characters dress and what they would look like.

I love the fact that Lego Star Wars exists, and gives Star Wars a way to laugh at itself. This special was a lot of fun.

    Regarding the elevator scene:

I have to admit I'm always a little bothered when folks jump straight to "the creators were too lazy" as the default explanation for this sort of thing. Fans don't realize how much hard work goes into projects like this. No matter what the explanation might be for not-AOTC-accurate character models in that one brief scene, one thing you can take to the bank is that no one involved in the creation of this show was "lazy."

Regarding the voice acting: Rey was quite good, and Poe was so good I actually thought for a minute they'd gotten Oscar Isaac back and didn't tell us. Even Tom Kane has stepped up his Yoda game a bit, if such a thing is possible. Lego Vader is hilarious every time, and I noticed Matt Lanter was credited for playing both Anakin Skywalker and a Rodian (the one who says "Maclunkey!" as he arrives for the party, I would guess).

A small thing I wish they would have added
It would have been nice if Vader and Rey would have reacted more to their environments as they travel across time.
Maybe have Vader express disappointment when they landed on Mustafar, and Rey expressing a similar frustration as they pass through Exegol.
I mean, these can't be pleasant memories for them, and it would have been a nice continuity nod to have them react accordingly.

Low-key, spoiler-free dumb thing I liked. They arrive at the temple:

    BB-8:
    *beeping SFX*
Rey: You can say that again.
    BB-8: *exact same beeping SFX*

I dunno, it just made me smile.

Instead of opening all those spoiler tags I'm just gonna assume we already freaked out over

the first spoken instance of "Sheev".

Strangely that didn't cross my mind. My big thing was Finn being a Jedi now.

    Even more importantly is that
it implies ol' Sheevy was on a redemption arc up until, well, you know...

Anyways, enjoyable special and some fun cameos and gags. Not as strong as some of the other core LEGO SW content, though (Freemakers, Droid Tales, All-Stars). I was both impressed and distracted by the level of detail they've added to the animation (the new skin texture throws me off!). Still, it's a holiday miracle this thing even exists at all, so, gotta love it.

Realistically-rendered concept art for all the ships exist- but they haven't revealed the art for the StarScavenger, oddly enough. They only showed us the art for Season 2's ships (the arrowhead and Tracker I) as well as the S1/S2 versions of the main three characters and M-OC at Celebration the one year.

Technically the first spoken instance of Sheev was when Euan Morton said it in the Tarkin audiobook.

    The new Holiday Special....
was so funny, once it get started. So many in-jokes for us.
I nearly lost it at half-of-Maul going all Monty Python on Tatooine!

Just wish they went further on the Episode IX stuff and referred to that more too.

Also, take away the weird time crystal key thing, and I definitely see how the Rey/Finn stuff is a natural next step.

    Maclunky, Sheev!

    EDIT:
wait, people are seriously thinking/arguing/stressing about how to fit it into canon?

    IT. IS. A. LEGO. SATIRE.

    aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

It even has a live post-IX Akbar in this!
