Ah, there they are -- found a black and white one on google. Yup, see -- concept art. That's usually the answer to most questions related to Rebels
Sloane is in her mid forties in 5ABY so she likely isn't going to be anybodies mother. She definitely won't end up being Finn's mom because she would be over 50 by the time he was born. She's just going to end up being a career Imperial and I doubt they will give her any love interests. Edit...Just saw that Finn is a bit older than Rey and he was born in 7 ABY. However she would be in her late forties by then so still too old likely to be Finn's mom. Am definitely interested though in seeing if she is killed off at the end of book 3 or if she is one of the ones that orchestrates the move to the Unknown Regions.
Uniforms change over the years. If you noticed in the end scene of ROTS the Imperial officers caps were more rounded then the peaked caps we see later in the OT.
Uniforms and insignia do evolve, but they juyst don't seem to do it consistently--e.g. the presence of two-row rank plaques in the Rebels era, when nobody apart from Tarkin wore one in ANH. I'm pretty sure it won't be long before we see OT-era Imperials with the triangular thingies on the collar.
Because no one has kids in mid to late forties. I admit I hope she is not Finn's mother but women do have kids at that age.
Yes it happens on rare occasion but is not something that happens very often. And it especially likely wouldn't happen in a Star Wars novel to a character that has not been associated with any kind of love interests up to this point.
Or ROTJ, where the Imperial Navy undertakes an egalitarian revolution in rank insignia Missa ab iPhona mea est.
Yep, the infamous rank blooper, in which everyone is a captain. They added a Dug in Jabba's Palace but, for some reason, nobody ever suggested to fix the rank blooper...
Not everyone - Gherant has a single cylinder: For that matter, so does Chiraneau and the guy next to him: The "two cylinder officers" in ROTJ are Piett, Jerjerrod, and Igar - anyone else of note? (EDIT: Not Piett after all):
So do you guys think Sloane will die at the end of Empire's End or do you think they will continue her story on to where she is still part of the Empire when they begin to reform into the First Order?
There's a line in "The Levers of Power" that implies she'll survive Jakku, but it may not have been written from an informed perspective.
I just want Rae Sloane to appear on Rebels, period. She already has a sort of past with Kanan and Hera, plus I know she showed up in the Kanan comic series.
Just remember Janet Jackson who gave birth to her first kid, when she became 50 this year. I also hope to see Rae Sloane in Rebels. I like her character and was happy she survived "Empire's End". And at least I gave her a love interest and a child (not Finn) in a fanfiction.
Rae's cool and always keeps you interested. I can't wait to see what happens next w/her. I will say however I'm not as interested in a Luceno type story but the next step in her adventures.
I don't know if they'll ever cover this but it says in Hux (Junior)'s biography that he got to be the Supreme Commander's second in the military by stepping over a lot of bodies. Given Rae is serving as his surrogate mother at the end, I think it would be a tragic but appropriate end for her to be the one he takes the position from.
Albeit, we could also have an aged Rae Sloane take over the First Order after Snoke and Hux die in the 9th movie. THEN she can be Pellaeon.
