The Mandalorian The Mandalorian 2.08 - Chapter 16 (Season Finale!!) - Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

I'd be very surprised if they took Grogu out of The Mandalorian. The relationship between him and Din is the core of the show's emotional basis, not to mention the aspect that drives the plot. Unless they introduce something else that can also fulfil that role, the series would probably be pretty purposeless without him.

 

I thought about this too and it could work if they transition into re-taking / re-starting mandalore.

Really excited for this finale. Really, really hoping we get a Jedi in this episode, and a confrontation between Mando and Gideon, that the latter wins. This season has excelled and built upon Season 1, and like others I'm pretty confident in this episode. I will say though, I've found this season has felt rather easy with all of the fights for Mando and co. I'm hoping for more of a twist, and a challenge in this final episode. Chapter 15 for instance was really good but I thought Gideon would show up way quicker than the end of the episode. I'm expecting the fighting between Mando/ Gideon to start pretty much right at the beginning of this episode is my ideal way for the finale to start.

 

I can't watch it for about 12 hours. Will have to avoid the internet until I get a chance to see it.

I’m going into it expecting the bare minimum that way I don’t get disappointed. Though only one episode has really done that so far this season.
