Will Grogu speak now in this movie?

 

His first words will be “uncle Ka ga” in honour of Carl Weathers.

 

It will turn out that Grogu has been speaking backwards this whole time. Not like Yoda's "backward" talk, backwards for real.

Or better yet, inside out!

 

He just talks normally like Yaddle

Grogu will be the same as he is in the show currently. He hasn't grown much in 50 years alone.

You don't want to take away that cute Gizmo factor.

 

That dosent mean cant have him say his first word.

According to John Rocha Mandalorian And Grogu not to be released till 2026 and it will be the first movie back in the theater. Does this mean Mando and Grogu doesn't start filming till 2025 and what does this mean for the Rey Movie does that not start filming till 2026?

 

So this dude is just reiterating information that’s already been officially conveyed by Disney and Lucasfilm?

They probably won't be filming till next year if its out in 2026.

I think they’ll still film it this year, just to get ahead of the game. Better to have a longer post-production window in case reshoots, etc. are needed. The official announcement said they’d film this year anyways, and recent reports reiterated this.

2026 feels like a long, long ways away. I had thought the point of pushing ahead Mando&Grogu was to get something pushed through production quickly with assistance of The Volume* studios. One would assume the second 2026 movie is the Rey movie, but I don’t think anything can taken for granted these days. The Filoni movie seems just as likely at this point imo.

 

Filoni's in 2028 with Ahsoka season 2 and such. Rey's movie and this only ones with scipts.

 

2026 is also when my alien race makes contact with you lot.

 

In the good old days - meaning 20+ years ago - principal photography took place two years before the premiere. Of course, nowadays, more effects work is done before filming. Also, they're not pushing the envelope on every film as far as they did back then.

 

Specifically, it's one year and ten months away.

 

I mean thats very ahead of the game. one reason they often like to get this stuff out in a short time is to hopefully get there before leaks get out everywhere.

And you would have to assume they need time for A LOT of effects and plenty of reshoots.

Me too. To be perfectly honest, it's neatly done but doesn't look quite right. There's something off about the whole composition. Just adding "and Grogu" to the Mando logo like that with no further adjustments won't cut it. Too much going on at once.

 

I really hope he speak. And also Pedro taking his helmet off. You can do a lot in the visual sense - like Sergio Leone type of western filmmaking, where people do not talk a lot etc. And film is after all a visual medium. But, here you can add an extra layer of expression, simply by showing Pedros face and exploring what Grogu sounds like ( a puppet has limitations as well) - and i feel both will help to make the journey they take on more emotional. So lets hope that happens.

 

There’s a lot of dead space there that makes it look really awkward. I really doubt this is official in any way.
