Adobe Premiere Pro used to work fine before I reformatted my computer hard-drive. Now that I've re-installed windows, and effectively Premiere Pro, a problem has presented itself. When I try to capture my footage by pressing the "Record" button on the computer screen, an error window comes up saying:

"Can't find capture inpoint. Try increasing preroll."

So, I increased the preroll fractionally -- that didn't work, so I increased up to the maximum possible digit...and that didn't work either. The same message keeps on coming up, and I am getting ever so annoyed.

    What's the cure, guys?

Re-install again? That cures bugs usually. I've never heard of that error before.

Hm. Have you tried setting the camcorder producer and model on Premiere's capture dialog? I remember having capture issues before setting the camera model to a model that was at least close to mine.

    I now use Vegas though.

There are other Capture programs, by the way. DVCapture, for example, works like a charm :)
