The most useless main character?

I'd have to say Chewie. Don't get me wrong, Chewie is awesome, but in terms of plot, he acts as a prisoner (twice), and repairs stuff.

 

Maybe Chewbacca, but I am not sure...

 

I'd have to agree with you and say Chewie. He's just kind of there and doesn't add much to the saga. The only time he ever really does something important is when he uses the AT-ST walker in RotJ to help kill the Imperials.

 

now hold on a second here. are we talking the whole thing, or just the OT?

No way Chewie or JJB. They are both integral to te script.

I would have to say that none of them are useless becuase....they are MAIN characters. I am trying to remove the core characters from scenes but without this one or that one, it doesnt work.

Not Padme, because she's good to look at. I would say the most useless main character would have to be C-3PO. He doesn't do anything.

Name ONE scenario where the gang wouldn't have survived if not for C-3PO. I bet you can't.

As for the most useless main character I'd have to agree with the majority and say Chewbacca.

 

Qui-Gon is pretty much useless, and I don't care if he found Anakin, he is useless.

Qui-Gon=worst Jedi ever

 

I admit Qui-Gon could have been a much better character in terms of action and influence on the story.

But hey, he did convince the Jedi Council to make Anakin a Jedi. If that's not a mark on the Galaxy's fate......

I'd have to agree and say Chewie even though he rocks.

Correct me if I'm wrong though, but Mace Windu seems pretty useless too. More so than Qui Gon I think. All he does is kill Jango which most Jedi could probably do and Jango wasn't too important.
