Joe I think it would be good if you color graded this whole movie even if it is subtlely. I mean just alittle bit more contrast, alittle more saturation. Nice job.

Actually I do have the entire movie already color corrected, but I decided to not color correct the trailer. It was mainly a personal preference because I kinda like to compare trailers and the actual film and see what changes were made to certain shots and such. I mean look at most of the LOTR trailers, many of those shots had not been color graded, prolly because they hadn't gotten that far or something but I think it's nice to notice the differences.

And I haven't started working on a Bush desktop, I don't really plan to.

REALLY impressive trailer. I was blown away. This movie is on my "must watch" list, not that it wasnt before

And to those of you who are already putting down this film, shame on you. This place has gone down the tube over the past couple of years. There is a serious problem with people putting others down. The fact that you say a movie is going to be bad before it's released only makes you look ignorant. "Well it will suck because you and I have a different sense of humor," seems to be the most redundant, and ultimately childish, response in this thread. Constructive critism is encouraged, but outright bashing is not.

Just because you may have released a successfull film or two does not give you the right to rip on those "lower" than yourself. I would hope that we would treat eachother as equals, but such is not the case.

Rock on crazylegs. When I signed onto this film (that makes me sound so professional ) I hadn't seen MS1. But I got cable recently and it was the first thing I downloaded. I really liked MS1 and respect Joe for actually finishing a film with a plot like some of us haven't pulled off yet And 2 and 3 are feature length which I highly respect and am honored to be a part of.

 

Alright guys let's break it up. First thanks crazylegs and others of you for standing up for the film. I really am touched by it and appreciate it. But the last thing I want is for this thread to become a verbal war between pro-MS'ers and anti-MS'ers. I would really hate to see this thread go in that direction which can only lead to an eventual lock. So let's try to stay on-topic, thanks guys.

Just watched the trailer again and...
No offense but personally I'd reshoot the part with Idaho jones say "A new power is rising, victory is at hand" and In the words of Mathias "That sounds GAY!"

Actually you don't have to reshoot it just redo the sound that's all.

It's like, really overbaked, but that's the point, I think.


Besides, how do you know Idaho isn't gay?

 

Baked . . . half-baked . . . overbaked . . . when it comes to fanfilms, any of the above is helpful.

The one thing that I noticed was missing from the original Movie Spoof was the opening crawl - I really appreciated your going with the Lord of the Rings style opening. I don't know how many times I've listened to the Opening Theme at double speed.

Incidentally, I've also found that fanfilms with sluggish fighting or poorly-delivered dialog are immensely improved by speeding everything up.

 

as its idea of "humor" was often doing scenes from movies line by line and changing a word or two.

I hate that. It is a common flaw.

 

Sweet trailer Joe, can't wait for the movie. Loved MS1, definately will love MS2.

I bet it was hard doing that car stunt.

Well the filming of it wasn't difficult, but the actual physicality was a little more. You see that was only a bit that was seen, I had to hop off my bike, run alongside the car, hop into the truck's bed, climb on top of the roof, fall off the roof onto the hood, and then climb onto the passenger side of the truck and swing myself inside the passenger window. All of this while the truck is moving and we did about 5 takes of it, and we had no cable hooked to me or anything like that. My parents freaked out when they saw it. And so did the kid's parents who owned the trunk since we scratched the hood doing it.

 

Very nice, although it kept coming un-synced, but that was probably my fault.
