I'm not sure if anyone else had noticed this or not, but I have been watching the prequels recently, and I noticed something about the belt-clips for the lightsabers. This is an odd little thing to pick up, but here goes...Anyone ever notice how the belt-clips in the prequels are your typical cell-phone belt-clip and in the originals they use D-rings? This is just one of those odd things...wonder why they switched to D-rings (storyline wise I mean, I know why in real life :p )? No cell phones on Tatooine I guess? :p

Ah, this is true...I forgot about Maul's!

EDIT: Obix: Thanks for the heads up on that, my friend and I were sure it was cell-phone clips...which is what we used on our costumes! :p

Maybe the in-story answer is because they lived in a Galaxy that was fancier, and had more conviniances (sp?) at the time of the PT,at the time of the OT,it was more of a "used galaxy" they just used what worked. That's all I can think of anyway. :)

Oh,and just in case you wanted to know-In real life the clips used were produced by covertech,a company that makes clips for PDA's. :)

Maul didn't have a magnet did he? He had a covertec just like all the other PT Jedi (well maybe not Yoda).

Every prequel Jedi/Sith uses the Covertec clip and belt attachment. No magnets, no nothing else.
