Hmmm, good catch Val. It definitely says "Begun, this Clone War has." Yoda's use of the word "this" instead of "the" could imply that there had been previous Clone Wars.

Or it may mean absolutely nothing.

It could also imply vision of the future and future clone wars during the two years. In other words why obi-wan says the clone "wars".

definition number 2,is the the type of "this" can be the one that applies to previous or future events compared to the present event.

 

Theres also the fact it fits Yodas idosyncric style fo speaking, especially if in response to someone elses line.

 

But it doesn't hurt to just think he is refering to a new one. If thats whatcha gotta do.

Seeing it on a tiny computer screen is one thing. Seeing it on a 36-inch TV screen is quite another. I love this new trailer!!!!

Now I just gotta wait until Froday so I can see it on the big screen with Ice Age.

"Begun, this Clone War has." DAMN!!! Anakin w/2 sabers looks AMAZING, not to mention the Jedi Knights vs. the Trade Federation!

 

Several of my friends had only seen Forbidden Love prior to tonight, and they all thought that EP2 was gonna be a lovey-dovey flick.

Boy were their jaws open tonight!

 

Did anybody else think that Anakin was astoninishingly very simalar to Kyp Durron. Now I'm starting to wonder just how much GL had a hand in JAT. I mean, either that or KJA was right on target with how he had Kyp slip into the darkside. Arrogance, revenge, it's all coming full circle!

 

Actually, Ani-Droid, sometimes it's easy for an author to pick up on the threads and literally parallel how the SW movies approach things. KJA is pretty good at retaining the SW "feel" in terms of character archtypes, worlds and visualizations, and when writing Anakin, Obi-Wan and Dooku for my own fan-fiction, their characterizations have matched up pretty much 100% with their portrayals in AotC.

 

OMG Was that trailer cool or what!

There was so much there my mind is spinning. I have a hard time even putting it all together even with my very limited knowledge of spoilers. It was just way too friggin cool. New Stormtroopers, More Jedi with different saber colors. (well at least purple, maybe Yellow, I wasn't sure in that last shot) Pre-star destroyers, Saber fighting with 2 sabers, Anakin having a friendly chat with the Supreme Chancellor, Obiwan kicking butt, Fett, and did I Mention Jedi.. I am still grinning from ear to ear.

 

I've just seen the trailer too. I think it's really fantastic! Definitely put an end to the thought of EP II being all lovey-dovey.

The war scene reminds me of ESB though, esp with the walkers shooting the fighters on the ground, and there's a part where Amidala looks like Leia on the barge fighting Jabba. My favorite scene has to be all the flying cars in Coruscant....just wonderful!

What's all this nonsense about only purple green and blue sabers?

At the very end of the trailer you can clearly see Jedi with orange and yellow.

I thought Clone War was the best trailer ever. Mystery edges it out by a narrow margin, but it is still better.

About Yoda...to me, it just sounded like his way of speaking. Although there ARE going to be more than one Clone Wars, right...i mean, Leia in the hologram in ANH says "...years ago you served my father in the Clone WarS."

 

No, no there's definitively only green and blue (+ one purple). The color of the arena gives the orange/yellow aspect.

And is that me or the last part of the movie is gonna be a real MESS ?

I mean, with everything happening at the same time, and all those things simultaneously on screen ?

 

Hehe, I just realized that we get to see Mace fighting Jango in the trailer, albeit briefly.

Two scenes after the giant ball-like ships take off, we see Mace walking towards the camera with his badass purple saber ignited. On the extreme left of the pic, we can see Jango backing away.

Wow.....like ive said before, i soiled myself. i personally didnt see the orange or yellow lightsabers. however i think i did see different shades of blue, purple, and green sabers. its a start.

anyway i started to download the trailer off of Kazaa. and the file is a AVI file. does anyone know how to open it? nothing i have works. Someone please help!!!!
