Hopefully we'll get that for a few more weeks- heck, that Clone Wars game takes place immediately after AOTC, so we'll have several major confrontations to read accounts of from that game alone.

Hmm, these pre-war engineered stone mites are mighty huge. Even if seperated into there 3 individual parts they would be pretty big. The ones said to be engineered during the clone wars, that are shown in orleon comic, are much smaller, about the size of a small beetle or flea, it's hard to tell. But they definetly weren't that big. They must of engineered them to be smaller.

Jedi Defeated for Teräs Käsi Title

ÄSLAJÄ, BUNDUKI - The Force was not with Jedi Knight Joclad Danva tonight.
In the evening air of the final purple-hued moon of the season, the formerly undefeated Danva was humbled in teräs käsi combat by new Palawa Band champion Phow Ji. Ji ended the exhausting 47-minute bout with a rancor-rising, aryx-slash, nexu-grin combination.

"Joclad's failure is just further proof that this ?force' is nothing more than a myth perpetuated as an excuse to retain power," said Ji (19-0), the home-planet favorite. "Enlightenment and strength is not the exclusive domain of a recluse tower on Coruscant."

A deferential Danva conceded the contest, but insisted the Force did not fail him. "The art of teräs käsi is about control and mastery of one's self. The Force is the power of all living things," claimed the Jedi. "To go outside of myself and call upon the Force during the Palawa quest would violate the purity of teräs käsi. Phow was superior this day within the confines of the discipline."

Earlier, Danva and Ji defeated quarter final and semi-final opponents with relative ease. Notable combatants included locals Chaq-Quaj Ee (19-3), Beru Slee (76-5), Celjo Mi (22-7), and surprising finishes for off-worlders Lungrolph Isher (Krish 10-12) and Talon Slyter (Draethos 36-19).

In a quarter-final contest, popular Epicanthix fighter Dux Pike suffered a fatal shenbit-bonecrusher blow from Phow Ji. Pike is survived by his wife and infant twin daughters.
Well, now we know where the Pikkel sisters come from!

    Thanks Darkside.

David West Reynolds is author of the Star Wars Visual Dictonary, Star Wars Incredible Cross-Sections, Star Wars: Episode One Visual Dictonary, Star Wars: Episode One Incredible Cross-Sections, and Star Wars: Episode Two Visual Dictonary. He has also written many great articles in Insider magazine about deleted sceens and location shooting of the original trilogy.

He is an archelogist thats been working for LFL since before the Special Editions. He was working in Northern Africa doing his research of ancient Rome and thought he might be able to find some famous Star Wars locales. He found most of them. Then when Rick McCallum was location hunting for TPM he asked Reynolds to show him all the sites.

Very cool guy. I had the chance to hear him talk at Celebration II.

Maybe this explains why R2 can't use rockets in OT:

IA Caps Droid Rocket Warranty at 20 Years

RORDIS CITY, NUBIA - Rescinding previous consumer documentation that guaranteed a "lifetime" of reliability in their after-market astromech hover rockets, Industrial Automaton has now capped the warranty at 20 standard years. This decision affects all optional R2, R3 and R4-adapted leg-bracket and barrel-housed propellant rocket systems. IA is instead recommending feature swap outs after 20 years, regardless of actual logged hours of operation. The decision stems from a costly out-of-court settlement IA paid to a Sump port worker injured by a falling droid. CEO Julynn Kentas was light-hearted in deflecting media accusations of consumer fraud. "The term 'lifetime' has always been vague at best," she said. "Twenty years is still a long time. That's almost two Devlikk lifetimes, after all."

Actually the reason for his rockets was explained already in NEGTC. One of his owners removed them and replaced them with a different set of tools.

Yeah. It still "fixes" the fact that no other Astromech droids have them post ANH.

Sigh, I love reading your rap about the Holonews. I hope someone preserves all this stuff, I'd like to go through it after I see the movie. The stuff in this issue is really weird.

Explains R2's lack of jets later on..especially during his "frea-out" after getting shot on Endor.

Also, looks like we have a name for those wheel-droids in the trailers- IBC Hailfire Droid.

Now, why do the Arconian officials have gold eyes, if gold eyes are the result of salt addiction?

2ndquest, actually the explanation of why artoo doesn't have his jet pack is in the NEGTC, one of his owners that had him a short time after ep 3, removed them to give him a different set of tools that were useful for what he needed r2 for.

oh, ok. BTW, as a typo-fix..

"especially during his "frea-out" after getting shot on Endor."

    should read:

"especially during his "freak-out" after getting shot on Endor.

But like was said, it foxes why OTHER R2 units don;t have them later on.

The yellow eyes is probably just a simple fault of the author. Or maybe the prescence of the nearby salt made them turn yellow for a short time. Hehe.

"In a quarter-final contest, popular Epicanthix fighter Dux Pike suffered a fatal shenbit-bonecrusher blow from Phow Ji. Pike is survived by his wife and infant twin daughters."

Not only does this give homage to Zan & Zu, the Pike sisters from Shadows of the Empire, but the name Dux is an homage to martial artist David(?) Dux, who was the inspiration for the Jean-Claude Van Damme movie called Kickboxer.

Anybody besides me think that the stone mites are a Vong invention?
