Great thread.

Easily gives one of most influential and impactful speeches in Star Wars history; with one speech she really a rebellion, sparked hope and set in motion the wheels that would see a simple farm boy, a smuggler and a young aspiring princess save the galaxy. Her sacrifice and courageous bravery is something that should be considered legendary.

Yeah, she's pretty awesome. But honestly, I think that the entire Rogue One crew is underappreciated.

I couldn't believe that were wasn't one for Jyn.
Even though I have only watched R1 once, I was impacted by it... and hopefully this year I'll get to watch it again.

I think Jyn should have gotten her own series. It could have even tied into the Disney+ Expanded Universe.

 

That would have been AWESOME!! It could still happen actually.
I'm excited for Cassian's Disney+ show but since I don't have Disney+... oh well.

A few days ago I actually go to re-watch R1! It made me cry when Cassian told Jyn, "Jyn, your father would be proud of you."

 

Sucks Jyn didn't get a series but I'm still looking forward to seeing what they'll do with Cassian's.

I love that part of the R1 film too, that whole ending of them going down in the elevator and then to the beach together, it's just beautifully done. Moves me every time!

I enjoy the relationship between Jyn and K-2SO in the film. The blunt remarks and retorts between them are so entertaining. Reminds me a lot of how Han and C-3PO were together in the OT.

 

Just finished watching Rogue One again today, yes the ending with them on the beach was well done

I also liked how the Death Star hit the top of the tower

 

I actually didn't care too much for her in Rogue One but loved how she was handled in Rebel Rising. I can totally believe that she's hold her own after her training with Saw, why she hates the Rebels as much as the Empire and how she can endure it all.

It's also remarkable how such a pivotal character has her whole life story told in Catalyst, Rebel Rising and Rogue One. I think the less is more approach really works for her. That and Felicity Jones is a great actress.

I think she really looks good as a platinum blond. What do you think?

 

It's cute, but I think the brown hair suits her better.

 

Jyn is my favorite female protagonist. Great performance and character.

 

the ending of Rogue one is, imo, perfect film making.. genius on every level.. the battle of Scariff is my favorite star wars battle.. the beach.. Vader hallway. the best cinema experience since I was five in 1977

 

Jyn Erso is one of Star Wars strongest female characters yet IMO. One of my favorite aspects of her is the simple fact she is just a regular person like the majority of the Rebel Alliance is. She's not a powerful Jedi or a madly skilled smuggler, which makes her struggles and willingness to stand against the Empire that much more relatable. Hopefully we'll get more stories from her, in particular her time with Saw Gerras Partisan's would be a fascinating tale.

 

That's another reason why I like Jyn. She's just a normal person in a galaxy, trying to survive.That would be cool if they had more stories/movies about her.
