if Jacen does turn out to be as powerful as they claimed earlier in the series, they might need Luke to go a little 'over the top' to bring him down.

i find it laughable how hard you all fight for the Jedi's morality! it's cute...and kind of annoying...

 

So why would he be trapped again? Considering he's the one who knows how to actually flow walk....

At this point, I'm personally frustrated that none of the main three have really figured out that Jacen is completely dark or that he killed Mara. I mean, they know that he did other equally horrible things. In fact, they know that he did one thing (killing Boba Fett's daughter brutally comes to mind) far worse than killing Mara. At least Mara fought back. The other woman was restrained and helpless. It's starting to stretch my suspension of disbelief.

Also, I just want to say that having been reading SW books about the Solo children for a good 15 years now (at least I think it's close to that) I am disappointed with how their roles have turned out. No, I'm not talking about Ben dying or Jacen going dark. What I mean is, Jaina's power level was always on par with her brothers. Although Anakin was hyped as being the strongest of the three, all of the children have always been capable in the Force and in combat. Recently, though, it has been decided that Jacen is lightyears more powerful than Jaina (and this was even before his 5 years of traveling around the galaxy to study). Jaina is sidelined and boring now. In this series, she's even lost her niche that she was given as a Solo child. She was always the best pilot out of the three, but now even Jacen (who was previously worse than Anakin) is now better than her.

I liked the Jaina that was just as strong as her brothers and a confident young woman who fought valiantly. Now, suddenly in LOtF we have a directionless (until Fury) nearly middle-aged woman who is now somehow sidelined while being overshadowed by her brother.

Maybe I have a personal attachment to this because I am personally a woman, but I would love to see a return to the strong Jaina instead of the one who has been sitting around rotting as a character since the NJO.

 

Apparently Boba Fett is going to help Jaina become better than Jacen.

He should just take a trip to Kamino and come back with baby Been.

 

?Luke contemplates once unthinkable tactics to bring his nephew down.?

Let?s see:

1. He will actually use that space north of the neck and apply deductive reasoning such that he figures out what has been going on right under his nose and sometimes right in front of it. That has been unthinkable to this point in the series.


2. He will actually choose a side in the ?Civil War? and work to bring it to an end instead of dabbling, meddling, and manipulating without true conviction. That has been unthinkable to this point in the series.

3. He will all of a sudden realize that all those nice shiny new Stealth X?s that he and his fellow Jedi fly around in are owned and maintained by the Galactic Alliance, and he better not be expecting any new ones or refits any time soon. Thus, the question is raised after a millennium??uhhh, if we serve the Force, should we accept these ?gifts? from the Galactic Government and be dependent upon them to exist?? That has been unthinkable since the dawn of the Jedi.

4. He will actually travel to Bastion, interrupt Pellaeon?s daily jasmine saltwater soak and ask? ?Say, ummm, Gilad?got any large Capital Ships stashed away that you aren?t supposed to have?that I can?ummm?borrow?? That has been unthinkable to this point in the series.

5. He will open up his senses enough to experience a disturbance in the Force reflective of a crap load of Sith all cohabiting on the same planet. Does anyone believe that so many Sith can be in the same place at the same time and not one Jedi can sense it? Granted, the planet has a dark aura, but pleassssse.

6. (Drum Roll) He will actually come to understand that the Galaxy has been, and always will be subject to the application of political maneuvering and realize that the Jedi (as part of the Galaxy) must participate. As a result, he will initiate a ?No Confidence? vote in the Senate, and Jacen will be tossed out with the refuse. That has, always, been unthinkable as far as the Jedi are concerned...and their failure to play the political game has always pushed them into the role of "spectator." The exception was Cal Omas, but even the Jedi removed themselves from that act and left it in the hands of Lando and Talon.

 

It's not that sickening really. You want sick......Ben/Leia and Ben/Allana.

 

Okay, that made me laugh.

What's with the cover? Why is Jacen a sickly yellow? "Oh, he's gone Dark Side" doesn't work. He looks like he's either undergoing kidney failure, or colored himself with a yellow highlighter.

I love all the Sweeney Todd references here...though Sweeney was much calmer than Jacen's been so far. He had something of a dignified insanity, except for a few outbursts here and there.

I would think Leia and Han would tell Luke about Allana. At least I hope they would/have. Their first grandchild, and Luke a great-uncle? How could you not keep that quiet?

I figure Jacen's going to try something to get her back again. I'm probably stretching it here, but he's got to have realized, since they were working to get Allana back to her mother, that the chances of his parentage remaining a secret are pretty slim. Though, they're going to keep her hidden more than ever now so he won't try to get her back, for that same reason.

 

Its still pretty sick at this moment in time. Tahiri is twenty seven and Ben is fourteen. Even if they do end up together it should not be now. And seeing as Ben and Tahiri hav never really so much as acknowledged each other's existence I doubt this will happen.

 

Great now i'm picturing Luke's son acting like a well known Rowan Atkinson portrayed, mini driving character.

 

Yeah, sorry. I think I wrote that at like 2am or something. Don't know what I was thinking.

 

It fine since it impossible for that to happen because of Kol and Cade existing in Legacy.

 

Assassination in a back alley, perhaps? Probably something that will tie in to the Mandalorians.

As for Luke's unthinkable actions, I think that our oh-so-legal Jedi Master is actually going to condone an actual "hit" on Jacen. Not some fake attempt just to put a tracker on him, but actually TAKE HIM OUT. At this point, Luke's gonna wonder where the heck he left that Sword of the Jedi.

I would be extremely surprised if Niathal didn't start to actively, physically and legally distance hersef from Caedeus. If she's sent an emissary to the exiled Jedi you can bet she's sent one to the Confederacy with the same mission. Caedeus had better watch his back, because I have a feeling it's about to get jumped from several directions.

As for Jaina and Fett, I actually look forward to reading this. It's probably going to go a long way to solidifying people's assumptions about the Legacy comic. I like Fett *ducks head* and I think that anyone who has a collection of lightsabre's that aren't his probably has a few things to teach someone about going after a Jedi, darkside or not. I'm very curious to see exactly what he bring's to Jaina's gameplan.

*sigh* These are just my ramblings. We'll have to see how it all plays out.

 

Unthinkable tactic = Joining forces with the Empire.

All it said was that they were "once" unthinkable. Not that they were unthinkable any time recently.

 

Luke already condoned a "hit" on Jacen back in Inferno. And by hit I mean assasination attempts. That all but said that he's prepared to have Jacen get killed. The question is what methods of killing is he going to decide on.
