1. The conversation was around which guys had actually achieved something special or amazing: losing in the playoffs is neither one of those things and I don’t care how sweet you try to make it sound. Ask Joe… I bet he doesn’t play for AFC championships. I’m not crapping on these guys. But when someone wins an MVP or wins a Super Bowl, these are unique and amazing accomplishments. They are the highest one can achieve in the sport. So when I look at Herbert, Allen, Hurts, and Burrow… they are immensely talented, but aside from winning some games and putting up stats, they haven’t accomplished the greatest feats which they all play for. 2. Ravens have a better record than the bengals, the bills, and the chargers and people still want to complain about Lamar getting his money. The dude is winning games and his teammates love him. At least when I hate on Brock Purdy, I admit that I’m hating.
Oh, I cheered too. I'm a Commanders fan. But, I still cringed at some of the bad playing by the Patriots. Yikes.
The amount of teams who will be looking for a new QB next draft is staggering, and that will include the Patriots and most likely the Bears though there is a bit of rumbling they might try to go with Fields/Bagent the next two seasons and build the team around them more with the extra picks/cap space. But I am not buying it. Eberflus is good as fired (only reason he hasn't been is the Bears have never fired a coach before the season ended) and any HC will really want to start off with their brand new shiny QB instead of going with a guy who is in his third system in four years (Fields) and a undrafted QB from Division-II (Bagent). Makes sense that I just got an alert via Groupon that Bears tickets are now down 24% over the past 14 days as tickets for the Christmas Eve Stink Bowl against the Cardinals are starting off as low as $45. The boys would really like to attend another game, but even they see freezing on Christmas Eve to watch the Bears against the Cardinals as a punishment of some sort. Reminds me of the late 90's when we got tons of tickets because my dad's work had season tickets, and hardly everyone ever wanted them even though they were free and pretty good seats. They would give away to customers for free tickets, and fewer people enter to win that than a small gift basket with a water bottle and a few other things. Also, Fields is out; therefore, get ready to hear a lot of talk about arm wrestling, West Virginia, Division II, and who runs the Bears offense "properly" tomorrow night. Also, they are wearing their horrendous orange uniforms with orange helmets, which I don't think they won a game in yet. Mayve if they lose against the Panthers, they will burn them finally which is they should have done when they were originally concepted. The ironic part is I like their original throwback jerseys and the 36' jersey as well especially when you understand they were them as a way to make people realize they were worn during a time Black players were banned from the league:
I was kinda sorta being sarcastic. And poking fun at some fellow Patriots fans. It’s common in the fandom to assert that Jones is actually a lot better than he seems. But he’s not.
Me this week: “All these great QBs being talked about, but they don’t know it’s the year of The Passtronaut.” Me last week: “I don’t know what a Josh Dobbs is but I don’t like it.” Im a fraud lol.
Lamar has a higher completion percentage and has thrown 5 less interceptions than Mahomes so far this year.
And so everyone understands the brilliant stupidity we are dealing with the Bears right now, as mentioned on Good Morning Football this morning yesterday, Matt Eberflus declared that Justin Fields was not medically clear to play and, therefore, was deemed out yet was listed as "doubtful." Please be advised that his answer is worse than you think: For the love of God, please make it stop! Reminds me of when the Bears were eliminated from the playoffs in 2002 after a game against the Packers, and Dick Jauron goes, "Well, we (coaches) need to have a meeting about that," and the reporters are like, "WTH! You have been eliminated from the playoffs; what is there to meet about?"
