Yeah, for every Dan Marino, and Troy Aikman (who didn't have the best rookie year after being thrown to the wolves, but became an all-timer), there's a dozen or so Ryan Leafs and JaMarcus Russells
It’s a coaching issue from the head coach to the QB coach to the Offensive coordinator: It’s not an automatic decision to start a QB, that’s a decision that they made after watching him all off season, same with his throwing mechanics, his understanding of the playbook, etc Could he be out of shape or just sucking? Sure. But with the state of QB development league wide… it’s hard to tell
Yeah I mean, if he was not feeling right he should say that. Saying in a press conference that you came out of a game because you were tired is decidedly unwise. Of course, that's also a sign of poor training and coaching from the team and his benching is still way too early. But I could imagine say offensive linemen thinking "I have to get down and then block 300 lb defenders every play and *you're* tired?"' I'm sure that doesn't play well in the locker room. If he has a specific concern or injury that's one thing but the way he put it was a bad look. Of course, replacing him with Joe Flacco in the hopes of being the 7 seed is a horrible look for the whole team. What a mess.
How is it 2024 and they’re still dropping the ball before crossing the line? What an idiot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They say never take points off the board. Not sure I always agree with that and certainly not in this situation. But they got burned.
The Strouds had one job. Let the Jets be the Jets. They've lost the plot, and need to be removed as scriptwriter.
Last time the Giants played the Commanders in their Legacy Uniforms they won. For all those rooting for the Giants and for chaos. The Giants are actually undefeated wearing those uniforms, including the tie vs Washington in 2022.
