Sabine's Aunt anyone?

 

Still holding onto my theory that Sabine is related to the Kasts.

 

I mean, it's pretty heavily hinted at.

 

Two weeks until Sabine gets the Darksaber, wooooo!!!! I'm so excited for that episode, it looks so amazing!

 

Sabine is so cool, I selfishly want her to be used more in the show, and I really would enjoy a slightly darker comic covering her life. Shame if the SW leadership doesn't tap into her potential.

 

She is supposed to get more screen time this season. Because of the Mandalorian stuff that's supposed to happen in the second half of season 3.

 

Just saw this preview image for this week's upcoming episode. Looks like we'll finally find out the Grand Admiral's expert opinion on Sabine's art!

Very well TheSilentInfluence. Didn't realize those rules applied to officially released conent in spoiler allowed threads. Content that hasn't aired yet from the season 3 trailer has been posted throughout the thread (including the much more spoilery darksaber gif way back in the first post) and they didn't require tags. I was under the impression that any official clips or images were fair game. My apologies.

 

The darksaber was fine because it was officially released in a trailer. That image however hasn't been released in a trailer or preview so that's why I tagged it.

Did anyone see the preview for next week that came out yesterday?

 

I'm a bit on the fence about liking Sabine. Can someone convince me she is a true Mando'ad.

 

If you buy her art book (which is canon) she speaks Mando'a. She also forged her armor with her family (Protectors of the Concord Dawn) and dislikes any Mandalorian who works for the Empire. Her clan (family) was also sworn to Pre Vizsla during the Clone Wars. She's a true Mandalorian.

 

She has also expressed several times that she wants what's best for Mandalore, and believes the Empire isn't going to offer that, hence becoming a Rebel and actually doing something about it. I find it funny when people say Boba was a true Mandalorian despite taking paychecks off the Empire, meanwhile Sabine is a "Pretendalorian" for daring to dye her hair. She made mistakes, but she now views the future of Mandalore to be more important than credits.

People like to say that Sabine is a Dar'manda plainly on the fact that she has a passion for art despite it being common among Mandalorians to be expressive with their armour, and art being quite important in the culture. Some people also find it extremely hard to believe that Mandalorians can be anything other than bounty hunters, and that to be anything otherwise is heresy.

But for reasons just described, she's a Mando'ade through and through. I haven't seen her not follow a single tenet of the Resol'nare besides raise children, but she can't follow that for obvious reasons.

 

In the latest Rebels Recon, it was said that the darksaber has a significance to Sabine as she recognises it as a symbol of status and authority. Judging by the connection they made between her and Pre-Vizsla relating to the darksaber, I think we were all right to theorise that Sabine is one day going to unite and rally the Mandalorians against the Empire, and she'll use the darksaber to get them to listen to her.

Can't wait to see her use it in the second half though! And for any more Mandalorian goodness that comes our way.

 

Sabine is brave and she has compassion for her team. She is patient when other newbs mess up around her and the rest of her crew.

 

I love that Sabine getting the darksaber is the final note of the episode, and that it's a quiet moment after all the craziness. It's so intriguing because you can interpret a whole inner monologue from Sabine's expressions in that scene. I wonder how much she remembers from being possessed; she seems to turn toward the saber deliberately at the end.

Now we know the shot of her holding it up in the trailer is from the second half (or something that ended up unused, but hopefully not).

 

It could've been produced specifically for the trailer. It's not unheard of.

Either way, really excited to see more of Sabine with the darksaber and how her having it will affect her storyline, considering how much it symbolizes.

 

Considering the fact that she's also wearing new weapon gauntlets in the trailer shot that haven't yet been seen, I'm assuming it's more likely a clip from the second half rather than something made just for the trailer. I sure hope so. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

 

Sabine has picked up all kinds of new kit this season. Gauntlets, jetpack (hope she repaired that) and the Darksaber?

 

She is a bad ass.
