The new episode airs Jan 14. Let me just say that Whitney gets mentioned a lot, since the last one talks about him being MIA, not sure if this is considered spoilerish. :)

Seems kind of awkward with Reeves in it. What is Reeves going to do? I can understand if he plays a teacher, but stills seems awkward. Next thing we know we will have Dean Kane. Maybe Gene Hackman as a corrupt millionair friend of Lex. Will Reeves play himself? That would be kind of eeiry-funny (Clark: I remember you in a bunch of movies).

How about if Clark thinks Reeves is his father?

Ok, my friend is on a mission. She really likes the band that plays the theme song for Smallville, Remy Zero. They guest-starred in the two-hour episode with the twister, I think it was this season's opener. Anyway, she's looking for the name of the song.

P.S. Clark requested the song in the episode.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I feel that it is too much a publicity ploy (duh). Kind of like the Simpsons now, where they have all these guest voices, and at times they have to have a way wacky reason why these celebreties have to hav a part. Someone at the WB is thinking "well, lets get so and so on the show. The one who played Superman/Lex Luther/ Jorel in the Movie/other show. No, we don't know what we will do with them, but we will get high ratings!"

Hopefully, it will be cool, but if they are going to forgo plot for "cool, guest star" then it will go down hill.

Well, think about it this way.

    It will DO GOOD since

    >As part of the deal for him to guest star on "Smallville," the WB will run a public service announcement at the end of the episode for the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation. <

I don't know the details, BUT if the money WB makes (everytime Reeves is on) a portion of it goes to Paralysis foundation, then it's GOOD!

Though, I am TOO surprised you and rest of JCers doesn't seem to be EXCITED of this cast!

I am really excited, along with the fans of Superman on the other sites. Even though if was just for the ratings!

    Michael Rosenbaum on Reeve Casting
KryptonSite caught up with Michael Rosenbaum for his thoughts on the casting of Christopher Reeve for the upcoming episode "Rosetta." Here's what Michael had to say:

"I have to admit that I'm a little jealous I don't have any scenes with Mr. Reeve. I think it would be pretty cool to have the older Superman meet the new Lex Luthor. I'm certainly honored to have him on our show. If the ratings don't explode with that episode, I would be surprised."

What is wrong with those people!!!!!

That was a Captain that came to Whitney's house, not a Leuitenant!!!!!

If your going to use Military in your show, get their fricking rank right

Well, I don't remember the rest of the show, but "Whitney" (Motw) called the guy lt., so proably does not what he was.

Ok, I did not like this ep. Tina is now Lana-love sick. ugh. Tina, morphed into Chloe, has burning eyes for driping wet (from the showere) Lana. Ugh. come on, why don't we have a new motw, a guy who can shift change and stalk Lana. More recycled ideas, and now not just from the X-files.

Oh, in the beggining, when Withney is dragging his buddy, and they are like freeze frames, and then they get blown up...bad effects. The only surprise I got from the show was the scene Clark enters the barn, and Jonathan is fixing something, I thought the Shape sifter would be Clark, not Jonathan. Oh, and the shapesifter as Lana, kicking Pete. Though why Pete didn't start to call out Clark's name, to warn him....(maybe it is a guy thing)

The space craft is also a Deus ex machina

I guess I'm in the minority.

    I loved the episode.

Maybe it's just me, but I love when they bring back old charactors.

Oh, and I loved the Indonesia scene, it (and the rest of the show) was very well directed, IMNSHO.

Flashing, which song is your friend looking for? The one they played at the dance? That song is called Perfect Memory and of course the theme song is called Save Me. Very good songs.

For the past several weeks, I was thinking to myself, I'm hating these kryptonite induced villians. Maybe we should have more bank robbery/kidnapping/regular crime stories. The week before was ok, with Martha and LL in peril. I figured we won't have a flying Clark, and pleasently surprised that a cop sneaks up on him. Shows that he is still learning.

But last nights ep. just was stupid. Ethan the sheriff has been in a lot of eps. so I was surprised he was the shooter. and I guesse they were trying to show how a good man can be destroyed by Lionel, but it just wasn't a good ep. Don't tell me it was Ethan in the 18 wheeler...and that he killed his accomplis. And frame Jonathan... Anyway I was rather disappointed in the ep.

In an interview with Wizard magazine, show creators Al Gough and Miles Millar revealed their plans for Lois Lane and Perry White in Smallville. "Lois is in college," reveals Gough, "She's just a few years older than Clark, Lana and Chloe. And Perry White is a struggling, young reporter in his 20s. Working for the Daily Planet is a distant dreams for Perry at this stage of his life. But Lois is in college, and I don't think Lois and Clark get along at all."

    "Great Caesar's Ghost!"

I don't like the idea of Perry being a struggling reporter in his 20's. He's not even working for the Planet? Despite this, in a dozen or so years, he's going to be the Editor-in-Chief of the biggest newspaper in Metropolis.

The Perry White that Clark works for is supposed to be the grizzled old veteran who's seen it all. He's not supposed to be a young hot-shot who's risen to the top before he's 40.

I'm sure Perry will get his big break after writing some kind of story about Clark.

About Christopher Reeve: I haven't read any spoilers, so I have no idea what his role will be, but I've thought he would the perfect person to play Jor-El. If they followed the standard set by "Superman The Movie", they'd only need to use him as a disembodied head sharing his wisdom with Clark - which would allow them to work around any limits he has from his injury.

The only other option I can see for an actor to play Jor-El is Tom Wopat. I know I'd feel a lot safer knowing that Superman is the biological son of Luke Duke and the adopted son of Bo Duke - and it would explain why the General Lee could fly over the broken bridge but Roscoe kept crashing into the water.

Hint: He will have some involvement with Clark's origins plot, but he is NO Jor-El! Yes, that episode Chris Reeve is in, will indeed examine Clark's origins.

how about Perry White knows Lex? Like Lex is thanking him for a good story on Lexcorp.

Chloe refurring to that professor as "cunning linguist" ha. I wonder how they are going to explain the cave. like an ancestor of Clark came to earth? or because of the Theory of Relativity, Jor-el could have traveled to earth, and it took him no more then say few months or few years to make a round trip, but 500 years had past here on earth. Jor-El could have decided to spend his life exploring before turning his attention to the impeding catastrophy on Krypton.

This episode was Chloe's equivalent of Lana swimming in her lingerie, which is to say I DEFINATELY approve!

A fun episode. Interesting character development. I like the angle of exposing more of Cloe?s feelings for Clark. I also thought it was evil of Lana at the end to act on the knowledge she had from the note. She hasn?t been pursuing Clark, she?s been pushing him away, and now, she?s jealous and trying to block Cloe from possibly getting to Clark. It?s almost like she?s saying ?I don?t want him, but nobody else can have him either.? I?m so glad I don?t have to play the dating game anymore. I foresee troubled times ahead for the roommates.

I did find it very touching, that note that Cloe wrote. I did simliar things while I was courting my wife.

One question I did have was about the spores. A few weeks back with the shape changing chick, the ship deactivated the kryptonite in the necklace. Wouldn?t the pulse that did that have also deactivated the kryptonite in the spores?

I?m not sure, maybe it was just the bad reception we get with WB (yes, we still use an antenna), but it looked like the needle and syringe were green, almost like they had some kryptonite in them. Were we just supposed to assume that she was able to get the blood sample because of Clark?s weakened condition? Or is there something more to this? I?m leaning towards the former, but if anyone has any thoughts?

Also, with the file that Lex bribed that doctor to get for him, was that Clark?s file, or Martha?s? If it was Martha?s, why would Lex be so interested in her medical history? And why is he apparently breaking his own rule about investigating the Kents?

Definitely looking forward to Christopher Reeve next week.

Maybe the cans of lead paint protected the spores. Kind of interresting that Martha is pregnant. Imagine little baby brother, in the future, finds out Clark is Superman and says, "Cool! can you beat up some guys messing with me?" thoughI doubt that there will be a future episode like that. At first I thought that it will be an alien baby (for a millisecond, since that would be too wierd) so I'm glad that it just healed people. I thought Lana was just pitying Chloe. I didn'tn think she was jelous to a point of wanting to take Clark. Note how she brushes of Clark after she says Chloe went to see him.
