Back to playing it. I'm beginning to think that the good/evil choices don't work well in an MMORPG game like this. I mean, once you make a choice and you regret it, you can't reload a previous save and make a different choice like in single-layer RPGs like KOTOR.
I kind of doubt they have the resources to port this game to the consoles. They never even managed a Mac client (and there are still occasional requests for that too). I wish I had had time for STO. I liked the starship combat well enough, but hated the ground combat. I used to have an account, but I forgot the password or even which email account it was attached too, and STO changing publishers once or twice doesn't help. I could just start a new account, but some of the rumors about cash shop dissuade me. That and I barely have enough time to play a bit of swtor, much less other MMOs. I still wish they would make the class stories replayable, but that's very unlikely. They'd much rather you just roll a new character (or even buy extra character slots). Replayable KotFE/KotET chapters isn't exactly the most fun (especially only your choices from the first playthrough matter).
That is such a shame I would buy the **** out of it (as would a lot of other people who might like 'KOTOR 3') I kind of hope that if the game does wined down, which looks likely with these changes. That they go back to the base game (with the ui and gameplay improvements) and either take it down to two classes a side by combining the force user and non force user classes (although this maybe hard for the smuggler and trooper, I mean BH and IA are easy you are an IA using BH as cover) or creating one new for each faction and relaunching the game.
They've been on the fringes of the story to date - a unique plot line focusing on them would be great. And yeah, regarding STO and by extension SWTOR - you find that all MMORPGs of this type begin to stall as the story element runs out, and the PvP, MMO aspect etc. has to go into overdrive. It's frustrating but it's sort of the natural curve of MMO development.
Out of curiosity, based on the speed of previous datamining efforts, can anyone guess as to how long it will be before we get the leaked Codex entry on Copero?
We will team up with Raina Temple with eyes and ears among the Chiss. Hopefully better than before on Iokath to have only her on Copero. It can be from Mandalore the Avenger to just have Torian on Darvannis. Imperial agent will of course have her after the mission. Can the Jedi Knight have her as well?
Eh, an MMORPG is basically an infinite video game so that is true. ST fixes it a bit with the fact you can create your own content.
Very true. And I guess I'm generalizing . I guess it's just a casual observation of previous RPGs - they've been great to a point, then waned, as if the creative fire of the devs has gone out of their universe.
Oh, it seems that Theron - the famous - now the most wanted - spy in the galaxy decided to alter his appearance! It must have been hard for him to get rid off his jacket, which apparently he was born with At best we might have it with the upcoming update (10th October). If we are not lucky, it might be somewhat closer to "the Traitor among the Chiss" update. From the Cantina: POSTER Spoiler
Yeah, I am really interested in what he said here: I wonder if we wil see the reason for Chiss withdrawal from the known galaxy in the next story update. Maybe there will be more story updates that will delve into that process. You don't bring Zahn into SWTOR for just one flashpoint, right? I also wonder about it in mind of all other problems with which the galaxy is struggling right now. Who knows, maybe the New Dark Age will happen in the future.
Master Sumalee for the Smuggler story might return with Risha and Corso or Alliance alert. DS Jaessa together with Darth Vowrown are higly possible to return or just a solo return as Kaliyo. Who do you expect to return from a class story such as Temple and Saganu?
I'm glad that we might be getting Ops passes back. It's also cool that we are getting the Agent comp back as well.
I hope not. It certainly would be interesting to focus on the Chiss for a while. I wonder what Zahn makes of the Tor Empire Also I say bring on the Galactic Dark Age, maybe keep some key worlds with the Republic and Empire, but the rest is chaos.
