The One Ring vs. the Triforce: Which is more powerful?

This has to be the nerdiest discussion in history.


I think not.

I read LOTR when I was a kid. I played The Legend of Zelda when I was a kid. Most people when they were kids did this at one point. So how is this nerdy?

Um, isn't it Ganon?

Ganon was originally born as Ganondorf of the Gerudo clan. He was the only male in the group and thus made leader. when Link fought Ganondorf to defeat atop his tower for the first time, the Gerudo man used the Triforce of Power infused in his body to turn into a grotesque pig monster. This pig monster is Ganon.

Ganondorf = human-like Gerudo
Ganon = pure evil pig monster.

And the triforce could kick the sissy One Ring's bum... The Triforce caused the entire planet to flood in The Wind waker!

Power...
Wisdom...
Courage...
The three forces remain strong and true...
If they are brought together, a blessing shall fall upon the land...
But if misused, the Triforce shall bring many evils...


and why did the Triforce split up to give Power to Ganondorf, Wisdom to Zelda, and Courage to Link? (besides plot devices*. Why did Ganondorf not get the whole thing?

Those who have Power, without Wisdom, cannot claim Courage. Only when the three are in balance, can the Triforce be complete

 

what a sensational idea for a thread! ive been a huge zelda fan and lotr fan since i was 9.

there is an argument for both......but im leaning towards the triforce

lol, as for that, take a look at my post count and then take a look at yours. I'm here once in a blue moon. 12/9/03 was the last time i posted before last night so you might wanna rething that. lol.

 

What about Aragorn vs. Link? Narsil vs. The Master Sword? Arwen vs. Zelda? Sauron vs. Ganon(dorf)? Legolas vs. Link? Frodo vs. young Link?

The one ring sucks. Let's face it, if Sauron put all his power into a worthless trinket like that, he deserved to lose.

The only one who would know that is the person who made the game. Unless someone here knows why.

But again I say The Triforce. All that power you get and any one can use it be they good or evil.

The Triforce split up because Ganondorf heart was not in balance, thus it left him with the part representing what he was hell-bent on having, Power.

The One Ring's power is not to grant invisibility to all those other than Sauron, it manifests what the individual desires. Notice that whenever we see someone put it on that they're in a situation where they want to escape (Bilbo, Frodo, Isildur). That's why they disappear. A stronger mind can use the ring to do whatever they want.

So both the Triforce and The One Ring give people their wishes. With the Triforce, you have to be balanced to be able to use its full power. With The One Ring you need to have a strong will, and the other caveat is that it will always be looking for the opportunity to screw you over so it can ditch you and try to get back to the hand of its real master. They're both equally powerful, though maybe The One Ring gets some extra points for being slightly sentient. I'd take the Triforce.

And yes, this is definitely one of the nerdiest conversations ever.

My question is WHEN are they gonna make The Legend of Zelda into a movie. We already know Orlando Bloom is gonna play Link, I mean look at him as Legolas, could there be anyone better for the part? I think in the days of EPIC movies becoming a thing for Hollywood Blockbusters that Zelda would make an Excellent Movie.

 

Well, they could cast someone who has a personality or acting talent, just a thought.

 

Rubberducky I take it your not a Orlando Bloom fan, which is cool. Well then who would you like to see play Link?

 

Well, I can't say as I have any druthers. Aside from not particularly liking Orlando Bloom. I don't even really dislike him, I just think he's really bland.

Oh, and the Master Sword is better than Narsil, and Link could take on Aragorn and Legolas at the same time.

ah tis nerdy indeed! but thats what makes it so fricken awesome! I am going to say the triforce becuase Zelda is my other half after Star Wars. And me and my friends have a sort of Triforce club, in other words we randomly scrawl Triforce's onto other "Zelda Haters" back packs and such. Tis fun.

Zelda disguises her self as a ninja and could therefore cut off Arwen's head.

As for Sauron, Ganondorf has the finger advantage.

 

I say Sauron would take out the Regular Ganondorf, but evil pig Ganon would put up a good fight.

LOTR Movie Arwen would take Zelda anyday, but LOTR Novels Arwen wont stand a chance IMO.

 

The Master Sword would own Anduril.

And I don't think Sauron would be able to beat Ganon, or even vice versa. 'Cause, iirc, only the Master Sword could defeat Ganon.

 

Anduril? That sword is Narsil. What is Andruril?
