And also, Rick McCallum just mentioned that *three* years will pass in between Episode II and Episode III...which could mean either "three years" INCLUDING the year in which AOTC falls plus two more (22-20 BSW4), *or* that year PLUS three (22-19 BSW4). If it's the latter, it's going to move the film up just prior to the birth of the twins; not taking into account the whole "ten-month-versus-twelve-month-year" issue, though.

Episode II (22 BSW4) was said to be 10 years after Episode I (32 BSW4), which didn't count the year of Episode I, so it will most likely be the same for Episode III. (19 BSW4)

Interesting. Well, that's a good confirmation for now, but I guess we'll have to wait and truly see how many years are between, when it comes time for the HoloNet News articles that directly precede the movie.

T2Q : Right now I'm about half way through Shatterpoint, so once I'm done with that, I'll be converting my notes into entries for the timeline.

Better yet, rather than every 2-3 weeks, just update this Clone Wars timeline once a month. That way you can get all of the entries that are released then. Both on StarWars.com news articles, and whatever comes out on newstands at that time.

The entries themselves, on the timeline. I just had a hard time figuring out what stories were comics, or what were novels, as I don't follow recent SW news very closely ( so I'm not familiar with the titles ), and I'm not reading this stuff until 2005. ( Then, and in the year before, I'm going to be trying to read all of the EU in rough chronological order, leading into III. )

As another supplement, that could work, kind of a notations section. I was planning for something similar for entries that are not confirmed but are just my speculation (such as Jango hitting Nod Kartha on the way home, instead of on the way to Coruscant), but I can just as easily expand that to things that are confirmed.

Sounds good. That way, people won't get mixed up with an official timeline placement, and your own speculation. I have similiar notation for my personal timeline that I'm working on.

Ok, here are the new entries relating to Shatterpoint, my next update will finish off all other entries for the comics and short stories, and implement some of the suggested changes mentioned here (such as the type-of-source label and notations section). I'll hopefully have that done by next month

WARNING: SHATTERPOINT SPOILERS AHEAD!

_ (approx) 2 Months ABG- Depa Billaba arrives on Haruun Kal. (Shatterpoint)

_ (approx) 4.5 Months ABG- Confederate forces pullback from Haruun Kal to the Gervano Cluster. They continue to supply the Balawai with resources and leave a Droid Starfighter force floating powered down in the system, waiting for Republic incursions. (Shatterpoint)

_ (approx.) 6 months ABG- Mace, Yoda and Palpatine meet in the Chancellor's office to discuss Depa's involvement with the Upland Liberation Front on Haruun Kal. (Shatterpoint)

(H=time for Mace to travel from Coruscant to Haruun Kal)

_ (approx.) 6 months+H Days ABG- (Afternoon) Mace arrives on Haruun Kal, is harassed by local militia forces; (Night) Mace meets with the Intel Station Boss named Flor.Flor is shot and killed during a street firefight. Mace is apprehended and intergeted overnight by Geptun. A deal is struck between the two for Mace to take care of Geptun's existing "Jedi problem". (Shatterpoint)

_ (approx.) 6 months+(H+1) Days ABG- (Dawn) Mace is released and is drawn into an ambush. Mace, with the assistance of Nick Rostu's team, turns the ambush into a failure. They board a ground car and head off to the jungle to rendezvous with Depa. (Afternoon) They disembark from the ground car and enter the jungle. Their jungle trek lasts three to four days. (Shatterpoint)

_ (approx.) 6 months+(H+2) Days ABG- Depa, Kar Vastor and the ULF attack a Balwai outpost, leaving no survivors. (Shatterpoint)

_ (approx.) 6 months+(H+4) Days ABG- (Sunset) Three Balawai militia gunships attack Mace, NIck & co. Mace manages to take down the three gunships. Mace buries Lesh's remains. They head for a Balwai outpost. (Night) Mace buries the bodies found at the outpost while Nick leaves on an Aak to summon the ULF. Mace saves a few kids from a steamcrawler that had begun sliding into a molten stream. (Shatterpoint)

_ (approx.) 6 months+(H+5) Days ABG- (Near-Dawn) Several steamcrawlers approach the outpost. Mace attempts to negotiate a momentary peace, but the ULF arrive and a battle ensues. (Dawn) The aftermath of battle finishes up. Mace and Nick steer off Balawai captives from Kar Vastor's pack. (Shatterpoint)

_ (approx.) 6 months+(H+6) Days ABG- (Afternoon) Mace swears in Nick as a Republic Major, aide to General Windu. Though almost cut off by Kar Vastor, militia gunships arrive to rescue the Balawai captives. (Night) Mace heads towards a base with a subspace comm so that he can call for extraction. (Shatterpoint)

_ (approx.) 6 months+(H+7) Days ABG- (Afternoon) Mace meets Depa. (Night) Mace battles Kar Vastor. (Shatterpoint)

_ (approx.) 6 months+(H+8) Days ABG- (1 hour after sunrise) Mace reaches Lorshan Pass and sends his transmission to the Halleck. (Afternoon) As Mace and Nick wait in a cave at Lorshan Pass, the Halleck arrives in-system, but is harrased by a reactivated Droid Starfighter attack group. Vastor threatens Mace to leave Depa. Balwai gunships home in on Mace's saber. Orbital DOKAWs are fired at Lorshan Pass. Mace coordinates a counter-attack against the Balawai miltia forces. Mace manages to turn the DSFs against the Balawai gunships, allowing Republic forces to take the Pelek Baw spaceport. (Twilight) Kar Vastor and Depa Billaba use the Clones to fly craft that bring DSF attacks down on the city, causing major devastation. (Night) Mace formally accepts Geptun's surrender of Haruun Kal to the Republic. Mace and his forces storm the command bunker Vastor and Billaba had taken control of. Mace confronts Depa and Vastor. Geptun manages to recall the DSFs and cease the attack. (Shatterpoint)

Got the new Insider; great stuff in it. The timeline covers the first 30 months of the war, and I don't think anything is missing source-wise. The only big ???? for me is that New Droid Army is placed in month 12, when the game intro seemed to indicate that it was taking place almost immediately after AotC.

If 2Q doesn't get it today (I'm assuming he will), I'll post whatever diffs there are between this one and his. One thing to note is that although it lists month by month, it doesn't list the order of events within the month, as the timeline is only 2 pages in its entirety (some events are listed in between the marks for each month however). Still, great job by the Insider team, and I highly recommend picking it up if fictional continuity/history is one of your interests

NDA at month 12? That is strange, that has to be a typo. Because Wat Tambor is captured in NDA and isn't released until that recent Holonet News article, which takes place at Month 10.5.

Those dates are right. Storm Fleet Warnings is listed under the heading The Storm Fleet Destroyers, Duel under The Fortress of Axion, and Equipment under the Haruun Kal Crisis with Shatterpoint.

Also, I'm an idiot. The timeline is structured so that various EU sources are floating off in space with lines connecting them to the months on the timeline. The line for NDA crosses the page, and I misread it as pointing to 12 months (another event is pointing to 12), when in actuality it's at 10. That makes more sense than before at any rate; sorry for any confusion.

Edit: Durr, why did I bother typing out that first paragraph TF.N lists the headers in their story. S'what I get for posting before reading the front page I guess...

The slightly updated timeline in the Hasbro Short Story Collection lists Boba Fett #4: The Hunted under the header "Durge vs. Boba Fett".

You list that The New Droid Army as 2 months first off according to the lastest SWI its 10 months. Second that game destroys the timeline completley. I beat the game and the last boards Anakin Kills Dooku. Just my 2 cents.

In order to accept New Droid Army as cannon you must assume the Dooku was just injured. Either that or it was a doppleganger or a clone or something.

The consensus after the game came out was that Dooku used the documented Doppleganger dark side force power (it's in the WEG Dark Empire RPG sourcebook if you want to read about it), which neatly explained

A) Why Anakin was able to defeat Dooku at all
B) Why Dooku disappeared after "losing"

Since my last posting, I have moved NDA up to the 10th month due to the Insider's listing and others. That's fine with me, as it (combined with the doppleganger concensus) helps explain why Anakin could defeat Dooku- as not only has he had 10 months to sharpen his combat skills, but he's also gained the stronger powers from the Clone Wars game.

As a brief status report- I should have a large update finished by week's end that will include pretty much everything currently released, with the exception of Clone Campaigns (and possibly Legacy of the Jedi, if I don't find time to read that book in time).

This update will include the remaining Jedi Starfighter levels, Republic issues not yet summarized, all HNN articles and the Hasbro Short Stories, among others.

I've also come across a slight issue regarding Jango's appearance at Nod Kartha and the timing of Nym's commando raid on the planet...not so much an error, but a possible alternative as to it's placement which would affect the placement of all the Jedi Starfighter events prior to it, but I'll go into further details when I post the timeline.

Yeah, it is ironic that the Jango question I set out to solve at the start of this project even now might not have a definitive answer yet

Clone Campaigns will be one of my next purchases I think. It's specific placement will be tricky, since (going by the descriptions on the unofficial CW site, at least) they don't have much to anchor them to other sources. It just has to end by 3 to 4 weeks ABG, since Alaris has to fall to the Confederacy prior to Anakin's arrival there.

As for LOTJ, I don't have a copy- at the time I posted that, I had planned on swinging by the bookstore to pick a copy up since TF.N reported it had hit stores, but apparently it doesn't officially hit until August 3rd or around there, thus my local stores did not yet have it :

Oddly enough, I checked at two different bookstore chains and each had the book listed in their computers as Legends of the Jedi.

EDIT- Well, sure, I could just copy and paste the entries from TCWUS, but can I really trust those guys? I mean, come on, they don't even break things down by week, let alone days... ;;D
