Well, this thread was way to low on the totem pole...

NEways, this isn't a full PB, it's just a side note to other PBs... sort of a sub-plot you can throw in anywhere:

What if, after Padme's death/disappearence/journey to the great beyond/blabla, the twins (or one of them) are raised by Sola Naberrie (Padme's sister, for those who don't know) on Naboo.

I might use this somewhere, so if anyone wants it, PM me to ask because I might have already used it.

I have twin plot bunnies here.

1. Obi-Wan is brought to the temple when he is two years old however the second day after he started living there a Master dissapeared, then the next day two masters, then one, then two. now during this time Qui-Gon feels led to the boy, he stays one night to watch over the creche so that the chreche master could have a break. he witness Obi having a nightmare and calms him down. at midnight he wakes up to find Obi out of his bed standing near the doorway, Qui-Gon approaches and is startled to see that Obi's eyes are a blood red color.


the second one is just a change of characters. the little boy is Xantos and the Master is Dooku.

interesting idea is it guys?

jacen : The Force knows I don't need more plot bunnies biting me everywhere, but you just had to put it in there, especially on the last page just when I happen to be surfing, didn't you? I can't help it. I'll just have to write something about it. (Did I mention that I love supernatural "stuff" in science fiction? ) Oh well, with holidays coming, I should be getting more free time.

Now, let me think up a plot.

EDIT: Err. You wouldn't mind if I make a teeny change, now, would you? -- If I have Obi-Wan coming to the Jedi Temple at age one, but the story happening at age two?

Well, I don't have "new" ideas to post. Just wanted to Up this thread again. And also let everyone know that my "Cinderella" story, From the Ashes, Grow the Roses is now complete and I will be posting a "Robin Hood" story very soon. Thanks.

 

grrrr....yet abother plot bunny had bitten me. I'm gonna take this one as soon as I finish Cringe( i will be jumped if I don't...) but if anyone wants to help, just say the word.

Anyways, for no reason I watched an old Episode of the show 'Charmed' the other day(the episode was 'Brain Drain' if anyone has seen it). After I watched it, i had an idea...

About a year after AOTC, Obi-Wan and Anakin are fighting durning the clone wars. Insert random crap. Blah blah blah...something blows up and Obi is caught in the blast, going unconcsious immedeatly. Poor Obi...if that's not enough, he wakes up soon after with a healer(who looks like a human version of Bant.) looking over him. When he asks 'What happened?' she tells him he had 'another one of his episodes.' He sits up off the ground and looks around...discovering he is in, what looks like to him, an insane asylum.

As it turns out, he's been in this 'mental institution' for nearly 15 years, all the whil pretending to be a man named 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' and something called a 'Jedi Knight'. His 'real name', according to the doctors, is supposivly....Ewan McGregor!

he finds people he knew were also 'insane', including Anakin, Padme, and his main therepist, Dooku, leading him to believe it's all a trap deviced by the Sith.

But which is reality? Who is he really?

Is it something I should write? I have more ideas but...what do you guys think?

I saw that episode of Charmed-- AWESOME idea for a plot bunny!! I don't know about his real name being Ewan though Maybe Ben?? But that's just me.

I'd love to see you give it a try--you've got the right sense of humor for it I know it wouldn't be a humor fic, but just think of the possibilities

Good idea. I thought of this bunny a while ago and pushed it away. The other day I started really thinking about it when my friend and i were joking about what would happy in Obi went crazy. I pulled random stuff out of you know where.

Thanks again for your support Shan! I'll PM you when I have part of it up. I feel like I'm totally ripping Charmed off. I'll just say it's a crossover...sorta...not really...all well. Any one else interested?

And BTW, I will definatly sneak some humor in. Prepare for Paranoid-I'm-not-crazy Obi and Anakin the insane smartass. I can't wait to write this now...if only my other fic would let itself be finished...

Well, i haven't been bitten by any plot bunnies for awhile, but this one just came out of nowhere. Besides Obi and Qui there are two other characters that really drew me in from the JA books. One is Xanatos--many of you already know how I feel about him And if you don't, you will soon. Shades of Light is coming along nicely. The other is Garen Muln, another wonderful, but often underused character. He had a small role in my 'Going Home' but i'm thinking i'd like to see more of him. Anyways, here's what I was thinking.

As senior padawans Obi-Wan Kenobi and Garen Muln are each set to depart on their first solo missions. We get to see them in temple and as close friends before one leaves, then the other. Garen goes undercover as a pilot to infiltrate a spice smuggling operation while Obi-Wan goes undercover as a smuggler under an assumed alias and identity of another smuggler that was recently captured--Obi assumes his identity. Niether know their paths will be crossing, as the missions were top secret of course and the council deemed it unnecessary to inform them of this before hand. Another part of the test, to see how they react and adapt.

Somewhere along the way, Obi's cover is blown and he goes from part of the crew to prisoner. Garen's cover stays intact, but he is torn about what to do. The crew needless to say considers Obi an informant(for lack of a better word) and treats him accordingly. They don't know he is jedi, only that he isn't who he is supposed to be.

That's really all i've come up with, but I thought a good part of the plot would be the emotional angst and turmoil between Garen and Obi-Wan in maintaining the charade and not having their masters to depend on, only themselves. One scene in particular I see is Garen having to watch and cope as the crew interrogates Obi-Wan after his cover is blown. So much potential for angst here.

If no one tackles this one, I may just have to do it after I get Shades done--which will be awhile Any thoughts on this one?? Anyone?? Okay, i'll just shut up now Later.

Oh, that sounds like a great idea, shan! I hope you eventually do that. There's a lot of potential for angst, like you said.

 

oooooooh. I like Shan. I think it'll be a while before I get my bunny written. Maybe my Cringe fans will be kind and let me take a break from it...but i doubt it.

 

Ohh, Shan Why do you have to keep putting up fantastic PB's when I'm trying to slow down and take a break??? Besides, they are somewhat similar to plots that I'm already tinkering with but haven't fine tuned yet. You're killing me.

Honestly, that's why nothing has been posted for a while. I've burned myself out and am trying to relax for a bit. Although I'm continuing to write, I'm not rushing myself. F&B Chap 4 is almost done, so I'll be able to send that to you soon. And I'll probably start on the prologue to "Robin Hood" today. And I still want to finish 'Iedos', 'Catch me' and 'TEBY.' So hopefully something will be posted on those soon as well. *sigh* I don't want to gobble up another PB of your's. Yet that sounds great. I already tried finding out what SW Narcotics are out there. And I have plans that would fit in nicely. But I have to put those on hold, along with a number of PB's that I still have waiting in the wings. But maybe later, if no one else does it.

 

I'm glad you all like the premise. It didn't occur to me until after I posted it that I could also reverse the roles and have it be that Garen's cover is blown. I think I like it better the other way though Much more Obi angst.

**Sigh**So many plot bunnies and so little time. Darth Real Life is not very forgiving. I had wondered if anyone was going to mention that other little bunny of mine that was up for vote when I finished Going Home. After Shades I think it will be a toss up between Slave Obi and Undercover Obi. I'll have to wait and see which one pulls me

I didn't pick option 2 M_C_Kitty, I held a vote and the readers decided. It was a very close vote though I think option 2 won by only 3 votes.

Don't worry though, as much as I like the above mentioned bunny--I will more than likely pick up option 1 after Shades is complete. I did kind of leave Obi and Xan hanging . . . . .not to mention no explanation of how our little cutie ended up in such a predicament.

Here's a weak little plot bunny that barely had the strength to nibble me.

Obi-Wan ... didn't want to think about how Qui-Gon would have reacted if he had been captured by the Daan.

And the plot bunny is, of course, that Obi-Wan does get captured.

 

Jane Jinn, that was cool. You were post 146 and you posted at 1:46!! Nifty.

Shan - I have all but burnt myself out. I feel like I've been charred. *BIG * I keep putting discs in to write and I end up sitting there staring. I would love to finish some off so I could concentrate on 2 maybe 3 at a time instead of 5 but I haven't been able to. Time is fleeting and with the Holidays and the Angel and trying to relax, it's been even rougher. Thus far I think I've written about 10 lines in the past 5 days, which isn't good for me. I hope to post something sometime soon, but we'll see.

Anyway, good to hear Shades is coming along. I'm highly anticipating it. Well, don't go putting up any other stupendous PB's so that I don't get any more scars, ok? Have fun.

 

news on my bunny: I GAVE INTO IT!!! I AM WEAK! I wrote the first chapter...but i refuse to post it until my birthday. Don't fear though: my birthday is on the 29th. I still need to figure out a title though. I'm leaning on 'Daydream'. Don't know why, but i like it.
