I'm sitting here on my back porch and there are police helicopters flying around with their searchlights on. A few patrol cars have gone by with blaring sirens. Fun fun fun, life in the city...

 

Old news here.

 

Police helicopters fly overhead everynight here. A lot of gangsters from LA and parts of northern California move here and bring their fights with them...
Not to mention all the pimps from Oakland that send their prostitutes up here...prostitutes commuting to work...who woulda thought?

 

My porch has given me front row seats to a number of fun incidents; within a week of moving in a guy was fatally shot at the bar down the street, a woman was arrested for drugs and/or prostitution right in front of me (actually, right in front of the barbecue I was throwing, so in front of me and my guests), and there are at least 4-5 accidents right outside every summer. Yee-hah!

 

I saw a guy on a bicycle get pulled over by a cop car today.

It was in a 20mph zone so I guess it's technically possible.

That's very true. While some police may be corrupt it's better with them than without.

True, the numbers were a rough estimate, but police are a very, very important part of our society, and one of the single establishments that allow us all to live the lives we love to live...

That was a joke. I thought you were refering to my posts. You must admit, it is hard to hear sarcasm when reading others words. I am so used to arguing with ignorant teenagers about how the police are a nesecarry and good part of life in the U.S. that it is hard to detect sarcasm when speaking to people about this subject. My appologies.
