Never played Tekken so can't answer this

3. Eh, I'm not a fan- but at the same time don't know how to free myself of it lol

@El Jedi Colombiano did you first watch the six Lucas SW movies in Spanish? Do you prefer the original English? Would you say the experience is different, watching Star Wars in a Spanish dub?

Do you prefer Spanish dubs for any show or movie for that matter.

 

Good question- I think, but I can't be sure, that I first watched Star Wars in Spanish when TPM came out. With the Originals I'm not sure at all- I remember we rented the movies from Blockbuster first before my parents bought the VHS, but I don't know remember in what language it was- the VHS we bought was from the US, so it came in English.

I remember distinctly watching the Spanish version of AOTC repeatedly before the release of ROTS- by then I owned the AOTC DVD and it was easy for me to watch the movie in either English or Spanish. Ever since ROTS was released though, I've rarely seen the movies in Spanish - the rare occasion being the time I showed the first six films to my grandma but that was before the Disney sale.

The thing with the Spanish dub is that it was done in Mexico (like most Spanish dubs) and the Mexican accent inevitably rears its ugly head so that's usually a turn off for me. It doesn't help also that the pronunciation of "Jedi" is inconsistent, being pronounced correctly in the PT but wrongly in the OT- I will say though that the Spanish voice of Darth Vader was very well cast.

For the most part no, I prefer the movie in the original language it was made.

I think Spanish dubs work well though or may be better in some cases- mostly animated movies and such. I remember the dubbing of Toy Story 2 was brilliant, but I haven't seen that movie in forever.
