The Nagai ruminated a while, not a word uttered in response to the Lady’s words. He mind was alive with thought, like gears and cogs in a clock. He wasn’t sure he wanted to wield this power, to join the conflict in the ‘gamut’ Lady Xaan spoke of. He had desired a new life apart from his kin, but he would not leap into the fray of this ‘Force.’ Its mystery and the potential for catastrophic consequences should alarm its adherents. It seemed to be a fire that could light the way or burn down everything in its path.

Tia's spirit shrank when she saw her tactic had not worked, there was only one thing for it, she let gravity take its course to deliver a front kick to his chest, she knew it wouldn't do any good, he was far too strong looking, but she did it, all the same, she was angry, and more so she was humiliated, people were watching her from seats, from the shadows, everywhere. She wouldn't have been surprised if the whole thing was being recorded and was being projected all over coruscant, she landed after the strike in a crouching position, and activated the lightsaber once more, if he attacks, I might, just might be quick enough to take off a hand

IC: Circle Lord Iudex

Iudex didn't give Tia the opportunity to prepare herself, instead catapulting himself forward the moment she kicked off his chest. As she begun to land, he would be upon her. She had proven to be competent enough for someone of her skill level, but unfortunately, the Circle Lord had grown bored. It was time to end this.

His fists rocketed forward in a tightly controlled kata, targeting Tia's joints in rapid succession. Her ability to wield a lightsaber had become an annoyance, and so it would be stripped away in turn. Only when Tia's body had been broken fully could she be reformed into something better. But until that critical moment presented itself..

Iudex's gaze hardened, ducking low to the side as he threw a fresh jab at Tia's collarbone. Until then she would lean the folly of so casually challenging a Lord of the Sith to open combat.

IC:

Tia yelled in Pain as his fist made contact and she landed on the ground with a hard thud, Lady Bellorum's lightsaber clattered along the floor as it deactivated. Tia was unconscious and small droplets of blood began to spill on the ground from the impact to her head.

 

Tia: *stirs awake, slowly focusing on the dark lady, and then looks around her rubbing her head "if I'm dead...then this sucks, did I get him? did I kill him??"

Iudex shifted into a defensive stance, and slowly began to circle the now prone Tia. Even as the Dark Lady Bellorum herself materialized at Tia's side, Iudex remained cautious, all too familiar with the tactic of playing dead.

After a few moments, along with a rather invasive mental probing through the Force, Iudex, satisfied that Tia truly was drifting in and out of consciousness, began to relax, and crossed his arms across his chest.

"She fought well." He intoned, tilting his head towards the kneeling Bellorum. "But even a potential assassin must work on their physical conditioning. If she -" He paused, noticing movement from Tia. "If you internalize what you've learned here, young one, you will go far within our Order.." A faint smirk flashed across the Falleen's lips. "To the point where we could cross sabers for real."

Tia got up and dusted herself, mumbling "The only thing I learned here today, was how to get your butt kicked 101, now how do I get out of here?" she gestures to the closed portcullis.

The Arena

The Young Grey stepped into the arena, his boots kicking up dust and his scarlet cape flapping in a wind that originated from where he did not discern. All around the walls were marks of black and damaged stone scorched by whatever battle had come before.

The Krathian observed above great stands with seats, some ornate like thrones and others more minimalist in design. He could sense the strong aura of The Force in this place, of the Light and the Dark…

Alric took some steps towards the center and saw an indent, a footprint most massive. It formed an oval with three tri-spikes at the front.

The Grey Novice knelt and touched it. And saw a beast with a portly face and massive mouth with golden razor sharp teeth.

“Interesting..”

The Krath Jedi rose up and looked at a massive gate from which the foot print pointed. He sensed life within.. violent vita.

Tia stood in the arena, a young lady verging on twenty human years with long blonde hair. She wore a hooded robe of silk, dark blue in colour, with black markings of Sith calligraphy, her eyes were a sparkling green, and she watched silently as the opponent was on approach. Her expression gave nothing to what she thought of him, but her eyes were locked on him.

The Krath Jedi pivoted on his foot as he felt the arena become draped in the shadow the dark side. His eyes fixed on a woman who appeared as the shadow had. She was beautiful, but from Alric’s own observation he detected a reservoir of anger.

The Krath Jedi took some steps forward, his brown bangs blowing.

“Greetings..”

Tia continued her gaze at the figure and she stood, almost, like a statue for some time before she spoke. It was a soft-spoken voice, almost gentle.

The Krath Jedi turned and smiled.

“You quote Master Yoda.”

Alric placed his hands behind his back, folded across his crimson cape.

“Wars have capacity to forge people into something else. My ancestor Ulic was changed by The Sith Wars. If not greatness, conflict at least lets us see who we really are, a Paladin of Light, A Lord of the Dark, or something In Between.”
