Agreed. The creature in that picture looks nothing like any other Devaronian female we've seen, so I stick with my theory that it's some other alien native to Deveron.

Either that or it's the reason all male Devaronians get offworld as soon as they possibly can.:p

Hey, I'm hairier than my spouse, and we're the same species!!!

RE: female hair removal, consider the extreme example of Darth Maladi, the queen of Nair.

That's not "feline". It looks like a male Devaronian with a smaller nose, larger ears, and more hair. Traits which vary between genders, you know, here. We're not exactly talking twenty-foot-gorilla males and tiny lizard females. There's absolutely nothing unbelievable about Devaronian gender dimorphism -- beyond the fact that Devaronians don't actually exist and are correspondingly slightly harder to believe in.

quit making a big deal of the fem Devaronian. It IS a fem Devaronian, it illustrates the species in AA. The difference is just that Jan intepreted their look differently, and her fem Devaronians are still hairier than the males. Artistic difference does not mean a different species or even subspecies, just different artist; compare Bothans (no, their are not different races, all variations include pics of one character, Fey'lya) and Noghri (no, not different races, all pics inc. portrayal of TTT characters). But Jan has definitely est. the LOOK which I daresay will persevere from now on.

Jan's point about the Grahrks is a good one, and makes me wonder if that is proof that Villie and Jeisel are from the same region of Devaron, and not from the Serat area. TBH, I figured "Sian Jeisel" and "Vilmarh Grahrk" were "humanizations" of their REAL Devaronian names, just as "Bib Fortuna" is a "humanization" of the REAL name "Bibfort'una." But apparently Jan disagrees;)

Another thought: Labria is from a noble family, as are most of the Devaronians I know of with suc three-part names with the apostrophes, perhaps a naming style unique to the upper class? Like Earth names with the "von" before the surname?

BTW, Jan, if you are still reading this, all your fem Devaronians have two spots on the brow. Are these vestigial tell-tale signs where horns used to be?

Was the NEC correct? If you've read the newest DT issue, you'll know that she dies. (Dark Times 6) spoiler.

Of course it was correct. Have we seen a body?

Oh, I know that we have yet to see a body, but surviving a thermal detanator/grenade? When she shows up again it will strain my willing suspension of disbelief

All it takes is throwing up a Force shield in one second, or Force-jumping outside the explosion's range -- there are myriad ways to get around a comic-book death, and we've had far worse cases go completely unexplained. So when a DH character who has been confirmed to survive in the same source that confirmed the survival of a bunch of other DH characters apparently dies in a DH source, I think it's a pretty good signal that it's just apparent.
