Revan is a pretty damn interesting character. Probably the best party about the SWTOR chronology. And I really did enjoy the Sith Empire, too. Gave me good insight on why there were only two Sith left in the galaxy, and why they became extinct for a millennia.

I didn't realize that the Old Republic was still canon, but I guess it still is, surprisingly, not much survived the "Great EU Purge". ^-^ ^-^ :) :)

If it's that...it's going to be the sister of someone. It would be cool for once that siblings were sisters! That has never been seen....Maybe Rey has a lost sister! Or...Kylo has a sis. Or, it's going to be a villain. That would be cool too!!

Yep. I can see Rey and Finn sharing their emotional kiss during a sunset on Naboo...until sand gets absolutely everywhere, of course.

Yeah...the only hopes I have is Rian Johnson, he's a huge deal, I mean, does everything weirdly...sooooo.....Kasdan even said that the script was "weird"!

I always figured that the in the interval between the time Rey arrives and Rey leaves Leia tells her a lot of information that we the audience isn't privy too. I figured that Leia grieved with Rey and told her more about Ben, his better side, what he was like before he changed, and it probably helped Rey get an understanding from Leia's pov about her son. She might want to bring Ben back once she gets the whole story. I really think Leia would have given Rey some good insight.

On that last part we can agree 100%.

I agree, I don't think there's a single person who doesn't agree that those love scenes we're horribly weird and horribly acted and directed. It's like the love story between two IG-88's that we never wanted to see. I wonder how awkward it was for Portman and Christiansen to film that, probably even more awkward considering they're really in a closed room with a green screen.... :(

I agree. One thing is sure: she's going to learn a loooot about Kylo/Ben while she trains with Luke. This is obviously going to change some things in the way she looks at him.

But why would Kylo kill one of his own while the others are standing around him and watching??? I don't think Rey was even there at the massacre...

I had the exact same reaction. Before TFA came out I was 99% sure they were siblings. Before the movie I had been spoiled, so I knew they were not siblings, but I was disappointed.

The interrogation scene started and I was like:  What. The. Hell?

Maybe that's one reason people are saying they are creepy or icky, right? If they watch it assuming they are related. Lots of people are still sure they are cousins.
I really don't know what to think. I'm not sure they are not related, but then my question is WTH, JJ?

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they subverted that and have her end up with Poe at some point in time. You still have an interacial romance in the form of Oscar being from guatamala. Actually I would be fine with any of the pairing with Rey, even if they introduce a new girl and have her with her or have her end up alone. As long as Rey is happy in the end and so is Ben.

Oh god, not a single chemistry!!! It was awful. Poorly acted. Too bad, Christensen was kinna sexy. But I prefer dark ones! :p
Instead, JJ gave us the freakin' interrogration scene. I haven't been so hyped about a scene in ages!!! Driver is a fantastic actor IMO! I don't find him specially "handsome" in everyday life, but heck, in that movie he's a bomb! (in every sense of the term!)

Tarkin!? Omg...not to knack on anyone's preferences, but Tarkin? I'd get with those old Imperial dimwits in that Conference Room before I'd ever get with Tarkin. And not even then really, cuz I'm one of da gays and that jazz ;). Much rather go for Rey! :) ^-^

I mean, I don't know the answer to that. I can speculate that Kylo Ren is the master of the KOR and the only one with a lightsaber, he can prob do whatever he wants. Again, speculation. I don't know if Rey was there or not.

Yeah!! The first time I saw it I didn't get the undertones at all, because precisely I was trying to get focused on who is related to who. But then...I was like...ups??? And then the fact he offers to TEACH her? (I'm a teacher, I know what that means!!! :p)
So, I still think we can hope for something considering those scenes are NOT there just by accident. Even the TIMES acknowledged this!

I agree. I don't think she's physically present in the visions with Kylo. The only vision where she was present is when she is a little girl.

And yes, the visions point to a strong connection. There's the moment in the interrogation when they have a strong connection. Maybe they are family, maybe it's something with the force.

It's interesting actually, to think that the lightsaber called to her and she saw Kylo in her visions. Kylo Ren, whom she had never seen before, I think she had never even heard about him. It's something all right.

Yes, that green screen stuff was horrid. Like honestly, there's nothing wrong with using practical or special effects, the problem arises when you use too much of one of them. Like c'mon Lucas, you couldn't film outside in a grassy field?! I can see why they weren't really enthusiastic about their dialogue, considering that everything around them was green screen. I'm pretty sure actors on the Walking Dead have a much easier time getting into character, especially when they have a real environment around them. And yes that interrogation scene was amazing. I actually got a bit uncomfortable tbh, but this some kid behind me was complaining that he was scared, so it turned to annoyance very quickly...

oh yes.. there's definitely some dialogue at the end of the book that strongly suggests that...

I agree. For the moment we think she has never seen him. I do think it's like that though. But I do think she's seen luke, because in the script it's said between lines that he knows her. But then again, if it was his daughter, would he just have stared at her like that??? Let's get a bit emotional here folks!!!

So the scenes are not really related. The only relation is the force. She has a connection will all of them because of the Force, who was sleeping in her...and awoke! That's the whole point!! Now, was is asleep because someone put it asleep? Put here there for her to never discover her powers? for her to forget? And then, she meets a stormtrooper and UPS, it's there again? I guess that getting out of Jakku was the thing that actually awoke her...but why? That's the whole question.

Yes, because Rey says she knows that Leia is scarred because she thinks Rey will fall in the dark side as Ben did. Those 2 must have had a great chat in that Rebel base!!!

Yeah, I guess some people find the threat of complete annihilation by a giant green laser beam to be a sexual turn on. But I'm lovin' Tarkin so far in Rebels. He's that old ******* that we all know and love!

That scene was obviously done with sexual undertones. How could JJ not notice that when everyone sees it? He approaches her, tell her he can basically take her (!!!), then is almost in her face, murmuring in her ear, she's panting like mad, he's like all soft and gentle...geez, you don't have to be Einstein to see that!! And then he is further away, but man, that panting and eyelocking...ahrem!!!! The temperature rose dramatically in that freakin' room!!!

I came with sexual overtones because it was supposed to be rapey because that was what he did to her. He kidnapped her and violated her forcefully but was unable to finish because his manhood was insulted during the act.

I really don't understand people who read sexual chemistry into the scene and not see it as a rape allegory it really is as a whole. Kylo Ren is conflicted psychopath who only acts in his own self interest. Hux even brings up that Their leader wouldn't like Ren getting caught up in his vendetta to find Luke.
