ST The Romantic Future of Kylo Ren and Rey

Firstly, you are double posting out the wazoo. And secondly, you are saying the reverse of padme is Rey starting off hating Kylo? But I don't remember Padme hating anakin. And You have now compared Reylo to Han and Leia, Anakin and Padme and Obi and Anakin. I don't get how they can be related to all three.

Understood, and yes Disney, LF & Rian Johnson have the right to change it. But, do you really think they will tinker with the Star Wars Formula? I don't think so. Too much rhyming is already in TFA. The visual and story rhyming is ALL there for anyone willing to explore it deeper.

Yeah, we've put to much work into this thread to just abandon it for a fan club thread. This isn't a dam club. We're discussing the pairing of Ben and Rey. I personally would rather this thread stay here.

 

I like the idea of a fanclub...but I've gotten too comfortable in this thread

 

Kylo ren won't be in a been there done that romantic scene. How is that scene going to be constructed will he take his mask off and kiss rey how will they proceed?

 

She's essentially arguing that the characters in the new trilogy are going to fulfill certain roles based on the roles previous characters fulfilled in the past. Luke is the hero who remains true to his nature, despite being tested — Anakin is the hero who fails, and is overtaken by the Darkness within him. Luke is the son of farmers who gains everything, Ren is the son of heroes who gives it all up. Obi-Wan fails to save Anakin, but Luke finishes what he ultimately couldn't. Anakin and Padme fall in love, but Anakin's belief that he ultimately failed to protect her leads him to the Dark Side, making them into adversaries ("If you're not with me, then you're my enemy") — Ren and Rey begin as adversaries connected by something deep and absolute, but eventually that very negative connection will evolve into something else entirely. I could go on, but I think this is the gist of it.

I see the connections, but I personally don't necessarily think they are going to decide everything, just as much as I don't put much emphasis on searching the EU for meaningful bits of information. At the end of the day this is still a new story about new characters. If a romance between Rey and Ren is in the future, so be it. I'm not at all against the idea, I just question it from a perspective of remaining faithful to all the characters involved in this story. The subtext was still there, the intimate connection was as well. Even without looking at this Ring Theory, one could easily deduce that something big is going to happen between Rey and Ren. Whether that "big" thing is love, who knows?

We don't write the script, how are we supposed to know. If anything happens it won't be sexually crazy it will be romantic

You know i spent the last 2 hours reading and laughing at this thread and i have to say it does not surprise me that EU fans would favor this pairing i know thier tast. As far as EU fans are concerned, 'Ben' is entitled by birth to ignore all wrong doings and save the day at the end. Rey is just there for his babies and to be in awe of his power even though he abused her throughout the movie, but hes a SKYWALKER so all is forgiven. And Finn.....according to EU fans they probably think he should be on Haruun Kal with the rest of his kind so we don't need to discuses him. Oh yeah and the fairy tales and stuff. The saddest part is that you guys actually believe this is gonna happen,your just setting yourselves up for disappointment and i will have no choice but troll you guys after ep 9 when finnrey is cannon and your still waiting for 'Ben' to come home.

Romance between a Dark mask madman and a Pretty lady..I can't see how they will be able to sell this concept doesn't make sense i agree with your dark/light bonding but romance doesn't compute.

 

Nah I have never went near EU. Yea he's a Skywalker. Like Obi-Wan Kenobi, a hero who chopped Luke's father's legs off and left him to die burning in lava. But he's a hero

Why not? Davy Jones in POTC had a romantic interest. Darth Vader had Padme. Did you ever stop and think that maybe Kylo Ren will become good?

You condemn Obi wan for cutting off a serial child murderers leg and letting him burn but 'Ben' killed his dad for no reason and people say he is just a poor confused little boy.

 

There's no need to do that They won't leave us alone They called Kylo abuser called Snoke abuser of abuser called Anakin grandpa of abuser (and also abused his wife) and then they abused Reylo's shippers or those who don't obey their idea

This is their personal problem about respect people, not Reylo threads's problem.

They can call Kylo, a fictional character, an abuser if that is how they see it. They can call Snoke, and Anakin, and the ice cream man in ESB names as well. What they can't do is call other posters abusers, nor can you call them abusers of your opinions.

Report a post, PM a moderator. I'm trying to find a solution; I've already offered one multiple times, which you don't like. Until a solution is found, ignore those other users if wish.

 

Maybe but not for the sake of having a romantic moment can't see this they already have a romantic storyline laid out for the viewers the romance you talk about is some dark symbolic fantasy more of symbolism to deeper aspects of the force.

I would never dream of threatening to troll anyone, even if Reylo did become canon, despite all the spiteful reactions we've gotten from some people....that is just cheap...and they call us disgusting?

 

Vader never had Padme Anakin had Padme..Just like presently speaking Kylo ren isn't Ben not yet and when he becomes Ben it has to be at the very end.

 

Really it seemed to me like Snoke was not even sure that 'Ben' had the balls to betray his dad and kill him in cold blood, 'Ben' made a choice to fall to the dark side. Reylo shippers blame Snoke, Luke, Leia, my dog,Han,etc for his fall i mean how old is he again?

 

No one abused anyone in thread. So please don't say you were abused. There was/is a debate and some people may have gotten hostile but it was on both sides.

 

Yea and when Ben killed him, he regretted doing it. Anyone could see that. When did anyone blame their dog? He's 29 so Pablo Hidalgo said anyway. Luke saw Vader kill Obi-Wan yet he still wants to save him. Honestly, I would like to know where you see this story going, out of interest
