    Esenma
    -Battle of Othos

    "They're swarming."

Esenma could feel the electric intensity around the battlefield. It brought her heart joy and excitement to see their squad having grown so strong and courageous.

The anxiety of Zalzabar cooled her down.

"I said, they're swarming, Zalzy." She thought if she used her words, he would come back to the present. She was thinking the same as he was. A swarm would not be able to take Othos and she'd been in enough wars and battles to know the infantry units when she saw them, even when they breathed fire and had wings. If a blitzing swarm was the method by Haugun to begin the battle then they must be confident in their rear force commanders to seal the deal when the strongest of Othos had made an appearance.

"Focus on the present, not what is to come."

    Return of the Crimson Knights
The forms of the Athas Ryujin came towards the legions of the Haugunites, fire and claw a swirl in the sky. Anaxagore and Cretaus were on the ground outside the city walls, fighting against the dark armored Haugunites. Cretaus would give a nod as he charged forward with Anaxagore's clones, leaping up as his sword came down in a swing to fight against the Haugunites. They were disoriented and confused, and the tight diamond formation of the clones and Cretaus proved quite effective against the dark armored warriors.

Indeed the new found Dragonrider, Rebecca Dragon, living up to her name would be swooped into the mayhem of the sky, close enough that as the duo flew by, she would be to slide her sword through the gullets of the dragons forms, a spray of blood rushing out over the golden scales and herself if choose to do so. Or perhaps take the more tactile, difficult but equally effective option jamming the sword into the enemy's eyes. Being able to summon and unsummon her sword would likely prove most useful in this endeavor.

The blaze of Arc's fire would darken and inflame the Ryujin casting their fire magic, their careening mass of a body falling to the sky, surprised at upper levels of magic of those still on the walls. But others, being Dragons, proved resistant to the outskirts of Arc's attack swooping around as they continued their mayhem. Kaynus for his part would rise his twin silver like wings as he swept into the sky, his great white maw biting fiercely into the neck of another Ryujin that had eluded Arc's attacks.

Zalzabar and Esenma could see and would feel all of this as the chaos of the battle unfolded around them, the forces of the two sides at relatively equal point...

Several flashes of red lightning surrounded the outside of the magical dome, thanks in part to the anti-teleportation magic prepared in a mix with the dome, as six figures appeared on the ground. Their forms moved through the dome as some transformed into their Ryujin form, and others began to dart around. Their glistening red armor would leave no mistake as to who they were.

Zalzabar took a short breath as he bellowed a command, his voice booming like thunder across the battlefield clear and audible for all that were there.

"ALL FORCES FOCUS ON THE CRIMSON KNIGHTS!"

The cruel, sinister smile of Bellus Dragonson grew as she stood in the distance, on the edge of the battlefield as she raised a single hand.

"And so the Saga of the Pure Ryujin begins..."

Red lightning burst from her fingertips as it crackled and reach up into the sky to gather a multiple Atharian Ryujin, striking at their scales as they stumbled or fell out of the sky only to rip into from the momentary weakness by the claws of the Haugunites. Cretaus and Anaxagore were relatively close to her perhaps a hundred feet away from her... far enough that the chaos of battle would give them a moment to form a plan as and when needed.

There was a motion as a mad man clad in red was atop a charcoal black dragon, his oversized sword fanned out as in a single stroke he beheaded another Ryujin. His maddening red eyes glared toward Rebecca as he caught her sight in the battlefield.

As Kaynus battled and raged in the sky, the slender and agile Ryujin darting and weaving his way through the sky, the echoing sickening scream of Sonus would resonate in the sky as the two ryujins clashed, their demon-ryujin bringing it's mouth around Kaynus as the two of them wrestled in the sky.

As Arc continued his struggle between dispelling and counterattacks giving his valiant effort to prevent any Ryujin from crossing the city walls, he would notice the dart of a figure clad in red as the darted up and across the walls attempting to get on the other side. Their swift movements quickly dispatched of the Atharian guards across the walls, even despite their renewed focus upon Zalzabar's command. A war axe held in their hand as they swiveled it around, cleaving foes apart with ease.

    Being swarmed, and then -

The tide of enemies and his need to split between dispel and attack was beginning to take its toll, and when a host of friendlies were massacred by the new arrivals, Arc grimaced beneath his fangs. He wasn’t sure if his wings could support him, but he dove down forward the nearest of the crimson soldiers to try and snag them with his teeth -

Hopefully some of the others would support him soon!

    Delsanra Taenya Helestina
    The Battle Rises

Delsana noticed a set of three large black dragons coming close to where Ne'jin'tar and she were located. She noted that they seemed to be sweeping down low, probably in order to use their breath weapons against the people.

A set of three large black dragons swarmed close to where Ne'jin'tar and Delsanra were. The large draconic masses moved to sweep over the, but Delsanra simply smiled. This was a battle of patience. She would hold back, her other skills until the true enemy had shown itself. She wore armor more akin to a mage, as she chuckled at the little air elemental around her.

"Let's get to work, shall we?"

With a gracefull leap, she began her spellcasting. Three bright balls of snow and ice form around her, one above the head and two above each shoulder. They moved and changed shape as she moved, seeking to defend her from incoming blows. Along with the elementals, Delsana leaped and taking aim into the cluster she gestured, and a scathing intense beam of light shot out, hiding the sharp frozen shafts of ice that flew out towards her targets. As she moved, she also created several clones of herself, and they also all fired in unison.

So did not allow herself to wonder about the outcome. There was only one choice. They had to win.

    And they would.

IC: Kharvas of the Water Blade

The ground clattered with the fallen head of the Haugunite Ryujin as Ne'Jin'tar landed. But he would feel the surgical whisps of water magic bounding around him as he saw a figure clad in red cut down Atharian soldiers with ease.

It was a Crimson Knight, his katana dripping with water as he flowed through and along the battlefield ramparts. Coming down in the direction of Ne'jin'tar. His blade continued to whisp as he beheaded a foe, and then his eyes met with Ne'jin'tar in the distance. It would only be a moment before the Mirkin closed the distance between the two of them.

    TAG: @Mitth_Fisto

IC: Sanguis the Blood Moon Dragon

Delsanra would likely feel a rush of excitement. It would be understandable after just eliminating three ryujin with your magic in humanoid form. Her powers had grown great indeed since a mere month ago.

She too would feel the crackle of water magic in the distance as the Mirkin Crimson Knight bounded for Ne'jin'tar. Delsanra however would have her own issues to contend with. A rain of a strange sharp red substance thundered from the sky above her as figure calm and collected in the manner observed Delsanra.

Dodging it would be of relative ease for Delsanra and her floaty little friend would dodge deftly with her as well. But this... Wood Elf... she had a kind of magic aura that Delsanra would have only heard tales of.

"I can sense it on you little Snow Elf... you have a truly wonderous object on you, but can you see? Do you truly know the significance of such an artifact? Of what one could achieve?"

    IC: Arkon the Blind

As Arc would soon find out the Crimson Knights were not beings that one rushed hastily into with a simple and predictable attack, even if it was one of raw power. After all, the very name of a Crimson Knight, the terrifying warriors that drew fear in the hearts of Atharians was a reputation built from blood. So as Arc came in with his overcommitted attack towards the Crimson Knight known as Arkon the Blind... well...

The axe of the man swing upwards as it hooked inside the open maw of Arc as he then plunged and sliced through the upper jaw of Arc. It would undoubtedly be excruciating pain. But not lethal and one that would heal within a minute or so. But the sheer force of the blow would cause Arc to stagger as the Knight then leaped atop his head and moved to plunge the pointed tip of his axe into Arc's skull.

He had about a second or two to react before he would be very dead.

    Oh boy

This was going about as well as expected.

Battles started off as these colossal wave fronts, a force of true power, and then broke down into thousands of inter-personal engagements as the entire thing broke down.

Momentum was a point, but there were moments where there was none, merely death, and nobody progressed.

Arc felt like that was right now.

    Well.

    He thought that.

At present he only felt pain.

    His jaw!

It healed, sure, nice, but he had to balance himself on the battlements, and the offending individual leapt, clearly intending to drop and use his weight to crash that axe into his skull -

    Nope.

He let his stumbling backwards cause him to fall that way, conscious that he may have just crushed someone, but it simply meant the chap was right in line of fire for his mouth -

    Floom!

A gout of green flame -

    Othos

Her heart beat faster her blood surging burning in her veins as she locked eyes with Roger. She pointed her sword towards the crimson knight. This was a duel, one on one, there was a deeper connection she could feel it but she just couldn't quite put her finger on it. Either way he had to die, and die today.

"He's mine…" Rebecca called out spurring Dominous towards the towering figure. At the last moment she lept from the back of her golden mount driving her blade at the black heart of the red eyed monster before her.

    Delsanra Taenya Helestina
    A Blood Elf ?

Delsanra felt various bits of magic around her, as battle swirled around her. In her mind, she found it interesting that a being who dealt with water was sent to deal with Ne'jintar. It was like they almost knew exactly their abilities and then....

Delsanra suddenly bounded a rain of sharp red substance that looked disturbingly like blood rain down upon her. As she dodge, she used the shielding she had created with her spell, the wind elemental dodge with her as well. Someone was above her! As she avoided the deluge, she noted an elf in red armor. A crimson knight. So, they finally decided to show themselves. The being looked to be a wood elf, but the magic aura radiating from the woman was something she herself had never felt before. Not even from the great mages that had been her teachers. There was something wrong with this. A little too much of a coincidence. The woman spoke.

"I can sense it on you little Snow Elf... you have a truly wonderous object on you, but can you see? Do you truly know the significance of such an artifact? Of what one could achieve?"
Vaya! How did she sense it so quickly? Or was this something else?

Delsanra offered the slightest of nods. "Indeed. I 'see' quite a bit." Delsanra then frowned slightly. So, they sent a mage, to deal with a mage? And with a similar skill it seemed as well. Or was it? That would mean a different fighting tactic. She also held to her earlier talk. She could not let the Avatar fall into the wrong hands. By the three, she would not allow it. The woman was gaging her, watching her carefully. Just as Delsanra watched her. Delsanra looked up calmly.

"But, you did not come to chat, I take it. A pity. I'm sure it would have been most interesting."

Delsanra knew that the woman had seen through her clones. So, whatever she did, would have to be a bit more diverse. She hoped the little puffer next to her could keep up.

    The Promise of Winter
There were only a few mages around the central magical sphere that provided the anti-Ryujin magic to the entire city of Othos. They served to maintain the power of such a device, as it required near god-like levels of energy to maintain but also to defend it. But the members of Othos... they would have no time to prepare, to run, or have any possible hope of survival.

A singular figure stood first. Stepping out of the inky black void which had birthed itself into reality. He clutched a round dark blue object in his hand. A crystal of some kind. The mages gathered around the central orb gasped in surprise as the man crushed the crystal, a crackle of dark blue energy as three other figures joined him.

And a fourth behind them. That of Derius Ralinommu. Derius's own legions would be in reserve for now, waiting for the magical dome to be shattered.

Which was precisely why they were here... within an instant there was a tremendous spike in magical energy as all chaos was let loose.

TAG: @The Jedi in the Pumas

Note: Those with magic detection will feel the spike in magical energy.

    IC: Arkon, The Blind

While in mind air Arkon would not be able to change his position. Not without transforming into a draconic state. Which raised an interesting question, Arc would feel the similar Ryujin-like energies wafting off the Crimson Knight, but there was an offness to it. Similar to a Ryujin but...

The man reached to his side, producing a crystal that he then crushed within his hand, a great water elemental sprouting forth from it.
It rose like a wall as the green fire struck its belly becoming extinguished. The water elemental also enveloped and consumed numerous Atharian soldiers that were on the battlefield. Their drowning faces were visible in the translucent waters. The creature did however shrink ever so slightly, large billowing steam rising up in conjunction with this effect. It would make it difficult for Arc to see clearly as he would hear a sliding noise and a shift in the air as the great axe of Arkon moved beneath him and toward his right front leg.

The water elemental, which was about the size of Arc's slender Ryujin form did not simply wait by, moving in a coiling fashion to entangle the neck of the Ryujin. Arc would feel emboldened by the little hooded wind spirit that Esenma had cast, this movements would feel sharper as if his mind and body were more firmly connected.

And that pulse of energy in the distance... Arc would have no time to pay it any attention.

    TAG: @Sinrebirth

IC: Sanguis, The Blood Moon Dragon

Life had dominion and communion with many things of this world. The four basic elemental magics. Time. Summoning. Light. Dark. Negation. All of these were related in some way to the very nature of life, each of them tied to the souls and framework of living beings.

But perhaps none stood so interconnected and stood so perfectly as its measurement then Blood. For in many ways Blood was the ultimate, and purest of all the natural auras.

As Delsanra began to move, her already graceful elven step elevated by Esenma's wind spirit allowed her quick movement across the battlefield, she would see waves of blood, dancing in an orb-like shape around her as then fell like sickles seeking her arms, legs and neck.

They were not just restricted to her as numerous Atharian Knights were knocked down and slain, their blood being used to fuel the madness further.

And that pulse of energy in the distance... Delsanra would have no time to pay it any attention.

    TAG: @Ktala

IC: Roger, The Red & Dominus, The Knight of Power

Dominus understood, he did not know the connection between the two blood lustful warriors other than a sense that there was one. His singular eye watched in almost slow motion as Rebecca bounded off him with a mighty leap, her brilliant red hair shone against the bright sky.

Roger's eyes would gleam with their red madness, his hulking frame moved to the side as Rebecca plunged down, her sword impaling deep within the dragon that Roger was riding on. The dark black dragon gave a shriek as it began to thrash around, Roger making a movement to attack Rebecca before she could withdraw her sword.

The hurtling sound of air as... whomp... Dominus cleaved through the Haugunite dragon's neck, the dragon's backflipped to its side as the Roger and Rebecca would tumble down along the back of Dominus, before then landing several meters down on another black dragon.

It not knowing who either of them was, it was unable to see that the infamous Roger the Red had landed on its back, made a barrel roll in the next instant. Sending the two of them yet again tumbling toward the ground. Two thuds separated by only a moment. Any normal human would have more than likely died.

But Roger and Rebecca were not normal humans.

They were monsters wrapped in human skin.

The red beast would pick himself up, his massive blade in hand as he watched the woman, his body taking a defensive stance... he was waiting for something.

And that pulse of energy in the distance... Dominus would have no time to pay it any attention.

    TAG: @galactic-vagabond422

    IC: Zalzabar

Zalzabar would feel sick to his stomach... there were three large spikes of energy in the very center of the city. Only one of which he would recognize. The smog-like aura of Derius. But there were two other monstrous levels of energy that formed in the center. He did not know who they were... but Malum... Malum was, to Zalzabar, undoubtedly there with them. This was bad, the position they were in was very close to the central magical orb that was the power source of the interconnected defensive network around Othos.

By the Three how had they gotten past it? Even Zalzabar's teleportation magic was not capable of bypassing the Dome. He looked around the battlefield, his eyes scanning to Helen, Tempus, and Esenma. And then a glance to those of his troop. They were on the back foot, granted, but each was engaged with a Crimson Knight. And he had the confidence in them, that they would be able to overcome their limits and defeat their foes. So, to him, the greater threat were these two unknowns and Derius. If they destroyed the Dome...

"Esenma! Helen! Tempus! With me! Ajax assume command of the frontline forces!"

He let out a sharp breath. They were now entering the thick of the battle, everything would be determined within the next few moments.

TAG: @The Jedi in the Pumas

Note: Ulfric cannot be detected hence why Zalzabar [and all other magic users] only senses two others besides Derius.

After his upwards swing, he thrusted back down and then across to the side in a three-piece combo that each unleashed a sword, length wave of water at varying angles toward the half-orc. Arc was trying to disentangle what he could feel about the Crimson Knight. It was fundamentally a wrongness, but it was agitating at him, cutting, almost -

But then holy moly water elemental.

His fire wasn't any good with that, and a variety of soldiers vanished, drowning.

Wincing, he was caught off-guard, and even as his mind wrapped itself around the idea that it was shrinking, and that he could make it evaporate, the axe bit into and through his right front leg, and then the elemental coiled itself around him -

The energy Esenma cast upon them gave him enough mental clarity to realise what was best to do -

    Enough is enough.

He surrendered his Ryujin form, transforming back into his-cloaked self, and for a moment he was not caught within those coils -

He didn't care for the reaction of the water elemental, he simply made fists of his hands as he felt, crossed them over his chest and hurled his hands out, his chest forward -

And used up all the power Esenma had cast to finance an omnidirectional Negate.

    Esenma
    -Battle of Othos

    "Ah."

They were here. Finally. The relative peace in contrast to what was come had been nice. Seeing her small troop experience how much their power had grown over the past month and how easily dominant they were now over base ryujin...it brought a warmth to her heart that she had seldom known in the past century. They could handle this. They would handle this. She had complete faith in them and with that faith well-placed, it allowed her to turn her full attention to arrival of the graver threat.

Before Zalzabar could even speak, Esenma was out of the tower window, speeding towards the magical sphere. These three were the type of power that caused her blood to surge and her age to become irrelevant. This threat would awaken something in her that hadn't been seen in generations.

In the air above Malum and Derius, Esenma would stop and float. It had been so long since she'd seen him with her own eyes...

    ----
Derius scratched his hand as he looked up at his mother, simultaneously feeling Zalzabar and two others quickly approaching.

The Skydragon was in a rarer form than he'd seen. Something was different about her; he could not sense a semblance of the warmth he remembered cuddled up under her bosom as a boy. She was here to stop them. No, that was far to nice. She was here to kill them.

    "Ah."

Good, then. He sat floating on a dark cloud beside Malum. The King of Haugun and the King of Taetus had played their games and tricks, flaunted their tactical capabilities and servants in front of one another. The time was soon approaching where the two of them would have to show what they, individually, were capable of. Why they, above all others, had risen to claim the title of King. The Witchking's eyes slid to his counterpart in the corner of his eye. He hoped the ryujin king did not disappoint.

    ----
Esenma's power rose as two scrolls unfolded by her side and two large jars were summoned next to her in the sky.

"It's been a long time, you two." The jars wobbled. Giddy with excitement. "Now, I want you two knuckleheads to be on your best behaviors. Those men down there mean to bring an evil to end the world. Against them we do not have to hold back. Let's enjoy ourselves for this may be our last ride!"

    IC: Anaxagore
    Crimson Rising

The battle was going well, all things considered- or rather, well for the defenders of the City, despite their numerous enemies. Anaxagore’s formation with Cretaus and his own clones perfectly balance their offensive and defensive capabilities, which in turn allowed them to overpower any who came against them. Lady Esenman’s air elementals were significant in making that realization come to pass.

As expected, with each passing moment, the battle became increasingly more intense and frenzied, all the while, Anaxagore ensured that a combat-focus was maintained between Mentor and Pupil through their new bond.

'Strike with purpose. React with purpose. Keep flowing, stay in control, guide the outcome.’

Words were no longer needed as they could now feel each other’s thoughts and intentions.

In that moment, almost as if in response, flashes of red lightning were seen all around.

Lord Zalzabar’s voice resounded like booming thunder across the battlefield.

“ALL FORCES FOCUS ON THE CRIMSON KNIGHTS!”

Anaxagore took in a breath. The preliminary warm-up was now over. It was time for the main event.

'Now the REAL fight begins…' He and the clones made their formation tighter.

About a hundred feet from their position, Red Lightning shot into the sky, ripping through Atharian Ryujin, who were then set about by Haugunites. Anaxagore made sure that would be their enemy's last act, for those who attacked his allies left themselves exposed to counter-attack as a consequence.

In a single glance, Anaxagore took note of Bellus Dragonson in her full glory- that, and her completely restored arm.

'I’ll need to keep her busy and focused on me. My clones will flank and protect you. You took her by surprise before, this time she will be more calculating. We’ll need to keep her off-balance. Use your powers to slow her down, break her flow, but don’t show her your 'ace' until and 'if' you absolutely have to. You’ll only get one chance. Trust me, I’m doing exactly the same.'

These thoughts Anaxagore flowed into Cretaus’ mind as they cut through Haugunite Soldiers. Anaxagore summoned half-a-dozen additional Dancing Bastard Swords to act as ‘blade barriers’ for his formation. Any enemy who came too close was sure to be rent asunder.

Needless to say, the Heir Protector of Regnum had also spied the other Crimson Knights which had dispersed by now, to literally seek-out his companions to do battle against. Somehow, this did not come as a surprise, for it made tactical sense. Had their positions been reversed, he would have likely done the same, ironically enough. That was not a comforting thought, but a sobering one, if nothing else.

Another thought came to mind: If Bellus was here, what of her ‘Father’? Why didn’t he readily sense him? Surely, Lord Zalzabar or Lady Esenma could.

Well, there was no time for distractions. Such a lapse was now counted as a liability.

Invariably, the battle raged on, yet as he dispatched one enemy soldier after another, the fates drew the dark haired warrior closer and closer to Bellus.

Two of the bastard floating swords cleaved cleanly through two armored soldiers as Anaxagore cleaved a third before coming into relative range of the Daughter of Malum Dragonson.

Anaxagore’s glinting silver armor shone as he spun towards the flaxen haired Ryujin Nobility, cutting down another set of warriors with a single strike. Conversely, his equally armored clones stayed close to Cretaus. Lady Esenma’s air elementals continued to swirl around them.

“Pray tell your Highness, what is your wondrous personage doing in a dreadful place like this?”

This he spoke in a most charming and affable manner.

    The Unfurling Truth
The maddened eye of Bellus gleamed as viewed Anaxagore, her longsword clasped with one hand as viewed the Protector. And then her eyes glinted to that of Cretaus. The brat.

“Pray tell your Highness, what is your wondrous personage doing in a dreadful place like this?” Her attention swiveled back to Anaxagore. A ryujin, and what seemed to be a capable one at that. Yes he proved worthy of being her foe... but the... that rube. Cretaus was an incongruity that she could not reconcile with. One that had access to magic beyond what she had ever seen and was of a same breed as... Ulfric.

How was that even possible... Ulfric, Malum, herself, even Derius had been chosen, destined to bring about the second coming of Sapientis. But him? How could he be worthy of such a power?

Her hand tightened fiercely around the hilt of her blade. "You are correct this place is disgusting... it needs to be... eradicated," with a swing of her blade a bright red arc of lightning rebounded straight for Anaxagore, one that in of itself would not be an issue for the warrior, but then...

there was a disjointed zapping sound as she stifled. She had attempted to teleport so incensed by her fury that she had forgotten about the magical dome's properties. It only took her a moment to recover however as she darted toward Cretaus who began to give the mutterings of a spell...

or would Anaxagore do something before either finished their movements?

    IC: Arkon the Blind

The wave of negation magic exploded off Arc like a tumultuous wave, an impossibility for the water elemental to dodge the blast... it's very being blasted back into nothingness as the water collapsed and became lifeless. But there was another wrinkle that resulted from Arc's magic that he would not have been able to account for.

As the wave washed over Arkon he would stumble, his hands clutching the floor as he grabbed the side of his helmet. A faint noise residing from within...

"No... not... yet..." spoke the Blind One. His body contorted as the off-natured Ryujin aura began to explode, his back arching into the air as thick spindly legs began to march out of his back, his breath panting like a mad animal as his transformation finalized. Arc's magic must have counteracted or trigged a magic implanted on Arkon. And soon Arc would have an explanation as to why the Ryujin aura of Arkon felt so... off...

He was not a Ryujin at all.

There was a great screech as the giant spider rushed its way toward's Arc attempting to bite down on the man, it's immensity calling for a proportional response.

IC: Kharvas of the Water Blade

The blades of Kharvas and Ne'jin'tar locked, imbued by the strength of their water magic as the two mirrored each other. His eyes widened at the mention of 'Ne', becoming even more surprised at the torrent display of water magic. An orc? An orc could do this?

Whereas Kharvas had a discipline and a precision to his movements, Ne'jin'tar's blows were like that of a heavy, thunderous tsunami. Even his magic was a greater strength than that of Kharvas, even if it was less refined.

Kharvas would swirl out of blade lock to dart to the side, a two-handed grip as his swung into the back of the orc, blunted by that of his water armor. Like steel striking steel water struck water staggering the orc no doubt but leaving no real damage. Kharvas used this moment to dart back, his blade held in a midpoint stance as he let out a muffled breath.

"You are no orc... does... does the name Cha Rii mean anything to you?"

    TAG: @Mitth_Fisto

    The four of them descend.

Zalzabar, Esenma, Tempus and Helen. Each of considerable power and strength. By the time they arrived the surrounding mages that had protected and supplied the dome with energy were dead, the three metallic figures of the Winter Court glaring with their inhuman helms toward the others.

As Esenma moved to deal with Derius, a silent agreement reverberated through the others Tempus moved to that of Ulfric, Helen to that of August, and Zalzabar to Solis. Zalzabar's brow rose confused as he cautiously viewed Solis.

"Confused Zalzabar? Malum is not here I am afraid, you will have to be entertained by my mere presence," there was likeness to the aura that Zalzabar felt... though he could not quite... oh... that would explain a lot as he worked it out in his mind.

This was bad... not only was there one more person than Zalzabar had expected, but there were three with unknown capabilities.

"But first, we should... destroy this loathsome, blasphemous orb... a crutch for you to defend yourselves," spoke Solis, raising his hand toward the object.

    And so... it began.

    Unexpected

Kharvas had been more than likely foolish to attempt speaking with an orc during the middle of their duel. That and his words had enraged the orc, the great roar of 'ORC' caused Kharvas to flinch. It was only by his lifelong mastery of combat that Kharvas was able to narrowly miss the brutal battering of the orc. Though he did not truly avoid it, the orc's sword shattering the densely packed plated armor of the mirkin, blasting apart across the orc's face and across the ground.

Darting back to secure his foot, Kharvas gave a twist as his sword came in a downward flash, water lined like that of a jet, sharp as the sword that sent it came barreling toward Ne'jin'tar.

    A Clash of Red

    “Tsk.”

Anaxagore was no soothsayer, yet still, he could have predicted the actions of Bellus Dragonson as she attempted a distraction in order to attack Cretaus. He’d anticipated that his newest and only pupil, would become a target of interest for the flaxen haired female.

The warrior-protector did not even attempt to dodge her lightning attack. In all likelihood, he could very well deflect it, just like Master Nin had taught him, but that would be unnecessary. As he was now, he could not be burned, at least not so easily, not with his own prodigious fire nature and his restored healing factor. Anaxagore could sense heat as far as a kilometer away without even trying, thanks to his former training and Lord Zalzabar’s keening stones.

Thus, Bellus’ red lightning hit Anaxagore’s armor and coruscated across its gleaming surface to no discernible effect. Anaxagore could not cast lightning, at least not yet- but he could sense it clearly. Its heat was easy to track. However, Anaxagore himself, despite the speeds he could achieve, could not teleport. He could affect moments of incredible speed, such that would make him seem to vanish, as Master Namekian had taught him, but such feats of velocity did not compare with actual teleportation.

Still, at this present range of engagement, he could still 'react' in the blink of an eye.

Fortunately, that theory was not put to the test, thanks to the immense inhibitor orb effect covering the city. A genius tactic employed by the Mages of the City. No doubt about it.

Therefore, in effect, Bellus had failed to teleport. Anaxagore affected his ‘vanishing velocity’ to appear before her and block her from reaching Cretaus. Behind them, his own clones surrounded the boy who was in the middle of casting a spell. Anaxagore’s clones would guard Cretaus with unfettered ferocity, so the spell could be cast.

“Your Highness, why such haste?” Anaxagore inquired curiously as he now stood before Bellus, his great sword swooshing in a simple flourish with weightless ease.

“You seem distracted. I pray you grant me the honor of a dance, to help allay your troubles….”

His words were courteous and kind, but his posture indicated without equivocation, that he would defend and protect not only Cretaus, but his friends and all who opposed the reanimation of Sapientis.

Somewhere in the distance, amid the carnage and the ensuing chaos of battle, Anaxagore did hear Ne’jin’tar’s orc-ish roar! It was a fine sound, one wish was heartening. Pity he could not bear witness to his fellow Ryujin, as he metted out some much deserved punishment to these invaders, but at least there would be a tale worth telling, should ‘The Three’ grant them a just victory over their enemies.

    Delsanra Taenya Helestina
    A cold response

    Blood and water.

Two of the most potent of elements. Both held the meaning of life itself. And of death. Something that was needed in order for life to exist. An interesting pairing indeed. Again, a bit too perfect to her tastes. But she did not have time to wonder of such things. The woman stood on the wall, and Delsanra was on the move.

A strong pulse in the distance. Perhaps the true battle was beginning. But Delsanra could not pay attention to it, as she had a more immediate need that garnered her attention. These were only distractions. So they needed to be dealt with quickly. The red sickles were slicing around her. Not so much a worry for her, but they were tearing a path thru the soldiers near her. And worse, their blood was mixing in to fuel the attack, making it even deadlier.

"Let's see if we can cool her blood," Delsanra stated softly to the wind spirit, as she moved, calling upon her spells to move her up, making stepping stones of ice to move to the wall as well. She danced her way up, as a storm of ice shard exploded around her, to encircle her, keeping the blood sickles away. Delsanra wondered if the magical aura she was sensing was something else.

But whatever, she would need to handle this one differently. She was most likely expecting to fight mage to mage. But Delsanra had spent her time, honing and learning to hide her aura. to defeat this one, this would be more than a simple tests of magics. But Delsanara still had her own orb as well. Could be useful. Delsanra eyed the wind spirit. Something else..

    Oh yes, that could work...

    Oh F me

    He swore.

    A lot.

"Why did it have to be a spider, why did it have to be a spider."

He had dropped to the floor, and wrapped himself into a ball; his instinctual act was the only reason the first chomp would miss (hopefully, he wasn't immensely fussed at this point perhaps unsurprisingly).

The creature was immense and he. did. not. like. it.

    Rocking, as it closed.

He had his hands on his hooded head, gripping the treated fabric, bunching it up around his face.

The legs were so, so, so... furry.

    He was crippled.

And then his hand shot up at the creatures mouth as it undoubtedly reared back.

    "Just kidding."

He transformed his arm into that of his Elder self, a spearing extension of his self -

He'd done most of this with his eyes closed, so he rather hoped it worked!

IC: Sanguis, The Blood Moon Dragon

As Delsanra blocked the blood sickles of Sanguis, she would turn her head in the direction of Arkon who was now transformed into a giant, red spider.

"What?" muttered Sanguis under her breath, clearly surprised just as much as Arc was at this unexpected development. She would only be able to give it a momentary consideration however as her attention turned back to that of Delsanra. The little Snow Elf was planning something, they were defending and not counterattacking, which placed Sanguis on guard. She held up another hand as half a dozen great spears of blood became to form above Sanguis's head.

The spear appeared that it could impale a dragon, it was no normal-sized spear. Simple blocks of ice would not be enough and... it was tracking Delsanra, as she moved it would move to her new position.

Anaxagore's words would only infuriate Bellus further, to her they were like salt in a festering wound. Her blow blocked as Cretaus held his spell in status, ready to unleash it at a moment's notice. Sweat beading across his brow, a small forming smile on his lips as he felt the excitement flow out from him. Excitement coupled with fear, but Anaxagore's calm, controlled nature over the flow of battle eased that concern.

Bellus leaping back to form some distance between the two of them. She swiped her hand over the blunt edge of her blade, lightning crackling over it as it manifested a powerful, murderous aura around it.

Getting hit by the blade would likely lead to a... undesirable consequences. Her blade gripped with two hands, her movements that of a thunderstorm, faster than that Anaxagore who would be pressed to rely on predictive blocks.

While Cretaus focused, his spell held... waiting for Anaxagore to provide him the moment to unleash the spell...

As Arc dodged the initial attack of Arkon the spider would begin to move before... a loud crunching noise as blood splattered down on Arc who had smartly conserved his stamina by transforming but a piece of him to transform into a Ryujin. The Spider ripped in half, its right side shredded by the shear velocity of Arc's transformation.

The Spider staggered, the remaining four eyes blinking quietly, and slowly it began to heal... it seemed to share some similar traits of a Ryujin which was perhaps why it had felt similar to one in the first place. There was a glow as a crystal appears in the remains of its mouth, shattering as two, ten-foot-tall earth-lightning elementals appeared before Arc. Large waves of lightning and earth moving to launch themselves at Arc in a myriad of attacks.

The spider scuttled back, seeking to bide time so that it could heal from it's immense wound.

    Oh F Me Again

Okay, admittedly, he’d been patting himself in the back for feigning terror and then transforming part of himself but not all.

This was a siege, not a singular battle and he had to be smart. Otherwise he’d be exhausted and taken out by a, like, kid with an axe who got lucky.

    Which he’d never live down.

    Like.

He’d be eternally teased for it.

    But this!

    What the Sin was this?

It had reared back, scuttling like only an arachnid could, and spat out another damn elemental thing -

Arc panicked, understandably, and threw out his hands, hurling negation magic without really thinking about the effort involved -

It wasn’t just similar to him, it was basically exactly the damn same. Did Zalzy just happen to forget to mention an ur-Ryujin-esque species?

If it was like him -

    It was gonna heal!

    “No, no, no -“

He didn’t have time to take out the electrical thingy. He would just have to -

    “Oh frak this.”

He charged, this time bidding green-black wings appear from his back so he could propel himself over the elemental and then land and stab with his sharpened wing-tips -

    This would work right?

    Right?
