Amph The Seafort Saga by David Feintuch

For anyone who's a fan of David Feintuch's awesome series about Nicholas Ewing Seafort, there's good news. It was recently announced on the message boards on his official site that an 8th book (tentativly titled Galahad's Hope) is in the works. Hurrah!

 

Whoa, sad news. I went to his website to check on any updates for the book, only to discover that David Feintuch died on March 16 Early word has it that the final book will still be published.

 

Goodness!!!

What are his books about?

 

They were basically Horatio Hornblower in space. His original idea was to write a Horatio-type book, but when he realized he knew nothing about Napoleon-era ships or navy he just put the whole story in space where he could make up everything.
