Very powerful with "Blinded by Ambition," Yane--just wondering where you got the quote? Is it from ROTS, or something more classical...? I like the way you included the image of Anakin's funeral pyre, with Luke standing by and watching...again, a powerful compostion!

Great images (thank you for sending me the link ). I especially liked the black and white handmaidens, "A Lie", and "What a desolate place this is". I really like matching a particularly appropriate quote to a good image; it makes the wallpaper stand out more than if it was just the image alone. Keep up the good work.

Jen, I haven't seen you around here in so long! I'm thrilled you're back and posting new stuff here. I know you've been doing icons lately, but I miss your fanart.

This last piece is beautiful. The way you did the text makes it look like this was made with an old print-press, and the ink ran a little before it dried. Even the font helps play up the aged and kind of mysterious look.

The image you chose is one of my favorite pictures by Iain McCaig. The play of darks and lights settling between the two is so striking, and it seems like you upped the contrast to make it even more so.

Beautiful stuff, and I hope you decide to post more.

I'm so glad you recognize what picture it is! I love concept art so much...it's so artistic and makes for great wallpaper indeed.

I'll be sure to make more stuff. I'm trying to use Paintshop or Photoshop, but I keep getting frustrated so I return to my old Microsoft Digitial Image Pro. But hey...it works...

 

I love what you've done with the concept art image. It reminds me of Dave McKeans work on the Sandman covers.

Great job! I really like all of your wallpapers- they have kind of a distinct romantic style to them, and they are all very pretty. The quotes you put on them match perfectly. Once again, great job!

You do have a great skill with picking quotes. They're always perfectly synched with the image.

This one isn't quite as striking as the last one, but there's something about the sort of destroyed lettering and sepia tone that I really like. It looks like a worn, aged photograph that someone wrote on a long time ago.

 

Well, now that a lot of people have mentioned quotes, I feel like I should explain how I make my wallpapers. I open my Quotes document and then I open my pictures folder. I scan through my quotes to see if any catch my eye then I go through my pictures to see if any of them would match.

Thank you for commenting, wick. Yeah, this one is not as good as my other one...but it was a nice opportunity to practice my new text style.
