The Simpsons movie

July 27th 2007 it hits the big screen! OMG! This is either be really good or really bad. Please let it be good and not like the current Simpson episodes!!! Go back to your 1994 ways!

Either way I'm looking forward to it! I just have that feeling in the back of my head that this may suck. I hope I'm wrong. But bring it on!

just as long as there is loads of Ralph I'll love it, Hes my fav. Hes so intellectual, like wot i is.

 

I gave up on the simpsons a lot time ago... bout 2000, i think. you know, when it started to become very Unfunny

 

I think Simpsons has undergone a resurgance in recent years. a few years ago it did just seem they all were the same but they're a little more diverse now. They've started using different styles and devices, and included more types of humour.

I'm fairly confident about the movie, so long as it's a 90 minute simpsons episode it should be fine. If they try other stuff it could well fail

If it's got a story sustainable for longer then a normal episode then it could work. And if they can get back the original writers from when the series were actually funny then it might work.

I'm not getting my hopes up

I dont see why everyone prefers the earlier seasons to the later ones. I only have terrestrial, and channel 4 has shown the newest (by our terrestrial standards) series recently, then showed a season 1 episode today and i have to say, i did not laugh once at todays episode.

The newer ones have made me laugh out loud so many times recently, whereas the older ones have grown stale and unfunny in the years that have passed.

Ill be there opening day for this film, and so will my mates. We all love simpsons, old or new, each one has its charm.
