8-8:30PM | FOX The Simpsons "The 22nd ''Treehouse of Horror'' episode spoofs Dexter and Avatar. I guess we'll have to wait for the 23rd for Homer's take on The Human Centipede." I don't really know if the extension of the Simpsons is a good thing or not, but it's got to be better than stuff like "Hart of Dixie." I hope.

The Simpsons to launch on FXX with a 12-day, 552 episode marathon- in a deal said to be around $750 million. Cheap way to catch up on the crappy episodes between Seasons 9 & 19 that i skipped out on for good reason.
If only there was a channel doing this 24/7/365. Then my childhood dream would be complete. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The line between good Simpsons and bad Simpsons is 'Trash of the Titans', which aired in April 1998. Anything after that is new Simpsons, and therefore sucks. One of the greatest TV shows ever my arse.
The series was still pretty dreadful around 2004-2005 (only 1 or 2 funny episodes a season, it seemed) but after the movie came out in 07, the show made a remarkable recovery- it'll never be what it once was but it's much mire co sister in decent to good episodes. There was speculation that, once you factor in the seasons still contracted for, Fox was aiming to have, effectively an all-Simpsons channel since it'd take most if a month to rerun the series, even if it was 24/7.
It wouldn't be able to sustain itself. Yes, there's enough material to do that, but look at all the other channels that were one thing and became something totally different. MTV was all about music videos and now they're only on late at night, early in the morning. Having FXX be the channel where they air makes sense.
I understand that most, if not all cartoons operate in state of stasis with their characters... however, I think The Simpsons really could have benefited from having a major change, specifically Bart & Lisa (and Milhouse/the others) moving onto middle school, or even high school at some point.
You kidding? That was a fairly good spinoff series. It also lead into the two animated films that followed in the early 90's, where the kids got married and had their own kids.
Today when I was in Toys R Us, I saw some Simpsons action figures, and saw one of James Brown, and couldn't help but quote him from this:
