i love discussions about role playing and dueling in general. it's always interesting to see people's approaches and learn from people you know and respect.

I'm actually quite a role playing veteran having done many rps on Nationsates...

 

Haven't been to Nation States in a long, long time. Surprised it is still going.

 

this is about the only place i've ever really been. poked around in a few others, but just never really stuck. dunno why.

 

Same, I've dabbled in other places but this has always been the only place I've ever stayed.

I also tried in a few other areas in the past….but. Nope. Only here shalt I remain.

 

This is the first forum I've ever been on-- everywhere else I've socialized on the web has been more mainstream sites, like Twitter and Tumblr. I've since stopped using Twitter after a two to three year stretch of absolute Twitter addiction, but I'm still on Tumblr and recently set up a fresh account.

But it's true this site is really special. Just look at all the neat people I've found! *gestures at everyone in the Temple*

 

It's the people, Star Wars has high quality fans.

Had that been around then, I might have actually started social media. As it is, I avoid it.

 

I remember being on a pokmon forum once, but I was somewhat of an idiot at the time...

 

This. I can absolutely attest to this. I won't ever put so much as a pinky toe back in the K-pop fandom because of how petty and low-quality the fans are.

 

i know what you mean. even predated myspace i believe. i pretty much despise social media, at least partially because of this place.

i... suppose... i should probably join the group on facebook. if someone could send me a link via PM i'll consider it.

the pettiness is a large part of why i hate sports fandoms. or most other fandoms in general. so many are just... i don't know. can't see past the end of their noses or something.

 

K-Pop is still good though, I confess.

The JCF has always been my one and only. Even after a 10-year hiatus, I was pulled back and am so glad that I was. Can only fend off the addiction for so long.

 

I've been on 4 forums before this, so I'm pretty good at finding my way around these kinds of sites. Been talking to older strangers online since I was 10.....................................................................yep
By the way I finished season 1 of rebels. I can't find "part 2" of season 2 on Google play so I don't know how I'll get to season 3
