Bryan Shaw striking out Javy Baez is indeed the highest strikeout in cWPA history for major league baseball. Congrats, Lloyd

If you didn't go to Baseball reference, go to cWPA leaders, filter to "strikeouts", and sort high to low, I'm probably ok with it ...

So, unless the batter struck out twice in the same series, it has to be in two competitive WS against the same team (unless the pitcher or batter switched teams), which makes me think of the late 70's Dodgers losing against the Yankees in back to back years in 6 game series since the late 90's Braves got swept once against the Yankees. I'm fairly certain Dusty Baker has not been selected so I'm gonna guess him.

This is why Gant and Justice came to mind for me. My guess is Jack Morris did it in the '91 Series.

Is Buddy Rosar the name they used in a late 80s football game for the Cleveland quarterback when they didn't have rights to use the actual names of the players?

I’m going to take a hail mary on the exact wording of the clue as go with Elmer Flick as a mid year free agent signing and then a keeper slot, he technically never been drafted. (He also never played in a World Series, so you know, probably not.)
