Maybe I shouldn't say this out loud, but I can't stop myself: Any and all respect I once had for Madine has now evaporated. Where the **** do you get off telling a judge to change their vote? After you had the audacity to do it to me in the past, I thought you would have had it out of your system. But I guess not. Egotistical crap like that should get you tossed from the game, and i'm surprised burd is being polite enough to let you finish competing. So instead of screaming at burd and demanding he change his vote, just because you don't agree, you should be down on your knees and kissing his feet, thanking him for the oppurtunity to get your rear-end handed to you by Mr_Sith.

I know this is going to sound harsh, but I want the judges to pull on their panties and take a little criticism...



First off, Onimi over Plo Koon is an absolute disgrace...Absolute disgrace to the Star Wars universe, if there is such a thing... Everyone acts like Onimi had some amazing fighting career before he travelled into the GFFA... He controlled a few minds, which is no better than mind tricking a few stormtroopers...


Skill? Darth frickin Maul, the crowned king of skilled combat calls Plo Koon amongst the greatest Jedi warriors...Coming from someone who has studied the Jedi all his life, this means a lot


Onimi can shoot poison from his fangs, if he gets close... Big frickin deal


Power is up in the air, both have lightning but Koon has the advantage due to his lineage


Onimi has controlled a few minds, suprised a few people, and then lost.... Give me a break



And Windu vs Vader is even more laughable... We have Vader's master getting the sith beat out of him by Mace Windu... and the judges go and vote Darth Vader (someone who is scared of the man Mace beat)


Seriously, seriously bad judging... But I'm sure you can take the criticsm


On the flip side, I read Burd's team decision and I agree...Sith is just too good down the line, especially with the last two for Madine


But in individuals so far.... not so good in my opinion

 

Personally, I think Onimi vs. Plo could go either way, and I can see reasons each one could win. But again, to tell, nay, demand a judge to change their vote is just plain asinine.

Oh, and Vader would walk all over Mace. It wouldn't even be close.

EDIT: As for your argument that Mace beat Vader's Master, i'll just say this:

ROTS Sidious <<<<<<< Sidious in his prime.

Plus, i'm one of those people who thinks that Mace didn't beat Sidious.

Well thats your opinion Corran, I didn't say it was a good idea for Madine to demand a judge change his ruling.


Vader is 80 percent of what Sidious is in the OT... Mace beats Sidious because of his age Mr-Sith says... Well Palpy is 90 in ROTJ, and Vader is 45 living in a suppossedly cyborg superfortress


If you want to argue ROTS Vader, pre-suit over Mace....it's debatable but Mace would still squeek it out


Arguing that a cyborg that has lost a majority of his power would beat a Jedi Master who already beat on the cyborg's master when he was actually more youthful is just a bad argument


EDIT: Palpy's prime is irrelevant since Vader is not being subjugated by Palpy at his prime... No reason to believe that older ROTJ Palps is better than youthful ROTS Palps

I still don't see why people think that Vader in the suit is crap. It's just freakin' wrong. If Vader was weak, do you honestly think that Sidious would kept him as his #1 man? Of course not. It wasn't until Luke came along that Sidious saw his potential as being stronger than Vader, which he did in fact become.

The only thing that Mace might have Vader is skill with the saber, and that's not anything close. Meanwhile, Vader completely and utterly destroys Mace in terms of power and experience. It's even close. As far as power goes, he's a Skywalker! What has Mace ever shown to make me even think that he can come close to touching the power of a Skywalker? As far as experience, you've got Obi-Wan, Dark Woman, Luke twice, plus you could techincally count the fights with Dooku and Asajj. Add in all that Vader did during the purge, and that wipes Mace off the face of the map.

Hopefully one of these days Mace will take the spot he deserves: Second-Round.

Windu, I voted Onimi over Koon because there is evidence of Onimi actually doing something impressive, you still did not tell me... well... anything that Koon has done.

I voted Vader over Mace for what Corran said. I believe that Vader was scared of Sidious because of his power, not because of his skill. Mace beat Sidious in skill, not in power, not by a long-shot in power. If Sidious had really tried with the power thing, the outcome would have been no different, Mace out the window.

 

Mace as a second rounder.................. I havn't really had an arguement with anything you have said so far Corran but this one is an eye opener.

Sidious tried to fry Mace for a good long while, Burd... And it's easy to see that Sidious was worried after a much, much shorter dosage of lightning towards Yoda



He wasn't faking, he was near the end of his power both times

I was reading my first draft, Second of 2004, and it's amazing how much more friendly the drafts were back then.

When someone made a real bad pick, i.e. Mara Jade in the first round, everyone said, well, maybe you can get a better pick in the second round.

Now they would just get teased and tauned and maybe even banned by Strilo.

Around TPM that puts him in the same skill slot as Yoda, Mace Windu, and Count Dooku... Not too bad, certainly not bad enough just to say he sucks at everything



Either way, I'm not mad... Mostly cause it's a fun game that I'm just a spectator in right now

Ive said this 67.4 times but I'll say it again. "One of the greatest" duelists of the Order is a very broad and general statement. With an order of 10,000 Jedi it doesn't mean all that much. Say one of the greatest means hes in the top 1% which is certainly reasonable, which would put QGJ in the top 100...big whoop. Say "one of the greatest" means the top 0.1% which is EXTREMELY generous. Thats still only top 10 in the PT order. Top 10 would put him somewhere in the range of a 5th rounder. Now I give QGJ a little more credit than that. Even I tend to assume a little about him, since he was trained by Dooku and trained Obi. But other than that and getting SPANKED by Maul, we don't know enough about him to warrant him beating most 3rd rounders and up.

 

Well, it does not look good for me here in the finals.

And I think my team is better overall than Sith's, there are other factors besides the one that bburditt is putting his stock into in his decision. And I respect his opinion, but again, like last time he judged my team, I think there is more to consider.

I hope the other judges vote for me like they did last time and for the same reasons.

Regardless of what happens, and what vote is cast, it was a well picked number selection by Mr_Sith.

There is obviously still some great differences in opinions on what Jedi and Sith are better than others and why, and that is what makes this game fun and definitely exciting to play.

Vader v. Mace - I mean, no matter what happens here in the TEAM decision, this match really hinged on Mace v. Vader, and what an amazing match-up. Sure, I wish Mace pulled it out, and I pointed out why, but really, I can see it both ways, and it was a good match.

Let's see the final result, and if I lose, I will post my congrats to Sith. If I win, we will need Sith to defeat me again 4 - 2.
