"Combiner Wars" Constructicons/Devastator has shown up in the US. When combined together, he clocks in at 18 inches.

    http://news.tfw2005.com/2015/07/01/tfw2005s-sdcc-2015-devastator-in-hand-gallery-part-1-295261

You can also order from third party company Perfect Effect which will include pieces that you can attach to the Constructicons to give them joints, as well as a larger head add on for Devastator that will also come with this...

A hidden Prowl head to replicate Prowl being part of the Constructicons.

In IDW continuity, Prowl is a ****. He sees things in a stark and negative light. He sees the negative in people, but Autobots and humans. During the events of the monthly series that ran from 2009 through 2011, Spike Witwicky kills Scrapper after capturing him at a construction site, following the events of "All Hail Megatron", which preceding the ongoing series. This was done in retaliation for the death of one of Spike's friends and fellow soldier, Tim Simmons who was killed during AHM. The Decepticons recovered his body and took it back to Cybertron. The Constructicons could form Devastator with a dead Scrapper, but his part of the body was useless so long as he was dead. Megatron, meanwhile, figured out how to make combiner technology work without the Enigma of Combination, which in IDW continuity is necessary for the most part. Otherwise, it is rather difficult to pull off.

Megatron has Prowl captured and Bombshell uses a cerebro shell on him.

Arcee later killed Bombshell, but by that point Prowl became a willing participant and ally to the Constructicons. Later on, Prowl and the Constructicons who were no longer allied as Decepticons following the conclusion of the war, continued to work together. The downside is that the combining causes a sharing of the minds and Prowl starts saying Scrapper's name, whenever enraged enough. Recently during the "Combiner Wars", Starscream has gained possession of the Enigma and uses it on Scoop causing him to replace Prowl. Meanwhile, Rattrap gains the Enigma on Prowl's orders and uses it on Optimus, Prowl, Mirage, Sunstreaker and Ironhide forcing them to combine into Optimus Maximus. During a battle between Optimus Maximus, Defensor and Superion against Devastator, Prowl is able to gain a new perspective that allows the five Autobots to work together to take out Devastator.

New news coming out of SDCC.

Victorian; the first female combiner team, designed by the fans.

The molds used are Hot Spot (Pyra Magna), two Alpha Bravo's (Storm Clash and Skyburst), Dead End (Dustup), Breakdown (Jumpstream) and Groove (Rust Dust). The Technobots appear to be next with Scattershot being up first and is a retool of Silverbolt. Computron will be renamed Betatron.

    Confirmed; Generation 2 Aerialbots.

Powerglide will also get a G2 update. More pics here.

The Stunticons have been confirmed as getting the G2 deco. Hopefully this means that the Constructicons, the Combaticons and the Protectorbots all receive their G2 counterparts. Though the Constructicons, Combaticons and Protectorbots also had other variants as well over the years. No plans for the Predacons, the Seacons and Terrorcons. Nor making the Dinobots as combiners.

Trailer from "Transformers Devastation" featuring Shockwave, Starscream, Wheeljack, Kickback, Thundercracker, Skywarp and Blitzwing.

And the biggest news of all, a new animated series aimed at older audiences and ties into "Combiner Wars".

Plus, the "Windblade" monthly series from IDW will end with issue seven and relaunch as "Til All Are One" with a larger cast of characters and a wider focus on the female Transformers.

    More from SDCC and BotCon.

-Next year, Hasbro will launch "Titan Wars" a follow up to "Combiner Wars". Hasbro is looking to making a new Fortress Maximus that will be similar to the original, but will most likely be more sturdy so that he can be sold at mass retail. The original mold hasn't been sold at mass retail since 2001, as the toy failed the safety tests due to his size and new standards. The reissue from two years ago was done online. Since Metroplex was sold at retail, I wager the same steps were taken. Also slated to be released is Blaster, who will for the first time have an official Classics/Generations toy mold. The closest has been the Device Label figure.

This is believed to be what it will look like and is speculated that Blaster will be a Headmaster. Odds are the Twincast and Shattered Glass Blaster will eventually follow.

    -An official look at Scattershot.

    "Robots In Disguise" panel.

-The cast members all get along well and apparently they tend to go off on tangents while doing the recording sessions.

-One more Dinobot will show up.

-No official word about Megatron and Starscream returning.

-Jack Darby was in consideration for returning, but that's been dropped. But someone else might be showing up.

-Still no word on season two, but they claim that the show has good ratings.

More footage from "Devastation" featuring Sideswipe versus Decepticon Seekers and Ground Soldiers.

Also, a poster for the game.

I know the feeling. Just trying to recreate my collection alone would be astronomical. I guess even if I had kept collecting in the 90's and beyond, I'd run into certain issues. Variants of figures and later releases that were better than the originals. Like Classics Starscream for instance.

A pretty good toy, but the color scheme is off as well as the layout of the red.

The Henkei figure was more faithful.

But the Universe version changed the Null Rays missile launcher and the colors were a bit vibrant.

    United finally got it right.

Now, it would be easier and wiser to get United Starscream rather than the earlier figures.

I love Blaster. He's one of the Transformers that definitely embodies the 80's music listening device.

And that Blaster is much better than this:

True. It'll be the first version of the character to officially feature in the "Classics"/"Generations" line that will be entirely new. For years it was either a reissue of the "Twincast" mold, the "Universe" repaint of "Cybertron" Soundwave or the "Device Label" figure.

"Fall Of Cybertron" being the other variant.

Yeah, that fits in the toy maker who didn't get how to do a transforming robot.

So, sounds like Hasbro is starting up another big multimedia project- the Prime Wars Trilogy? Something like that. Supposed to span toys, games, comics and movies.

Meh, guess the Aligned continuity has mostly wound down by now (not sure about RiD, the few episodes I've seen didn't seem that great), so now they're starting up something else, though it certain sounds like a lot. I just hope it doesn't impact the MTMTE comic, that series didn't have much to do with Combiner Wars fortunately, but if IDW does switch focus to the next toyline, then I worry somewhat.

Might be exciting to see how things line up, but I'm not expecting much. Though I have to get around to picking up Devastation, heard good things about it so far.

According to news from the other day, Hasbro has plans laid out through the 2020's- including Transformers 5 through 8, the animated Transformers One prequel and an "adjusted" RID series continuing Transformers Prime.

The latter really needed some changes- I had to drop it after a few episodes. Optimus's subplot was kinda interesting and I liked the idea of Bee as the leader but it didn't have much substance. Hopefully they might shift the art style too cause I can't stand the human designs...

With Megatron gone/missing, he did take control of Cybertron in the Dreamwave comics- and actually got bots from both sides working together. Obviously, his evil nature undid that eventually, but it was interesting to see him in command.

Yes, that did happen. In the Marvel Comics series, Shockwave was the main traitor and not Starscream, though he would earn that title later on. Shockwave had taken out the Autobots at the end of issue four of the Marvel series.

And then took control of the Decepticons from Megatron due to his numerous failures.

Eventually Megatron regained control of the Decepticons when he preyed upon Shockwave's devotion to logic. Later, Shockwave got his revenge by using the Predacons against Megatron and had them wearing Autobot insignias in order to drive him mad, thinking Optimus was still alive. Megatron would attempt to kill himself afterwards.

Though he did survive. Shockwave resumed command though he would share those duties with Ratbat, until Fortress Maximus took him out of action which left Ratbat in charge.

Can't end the Shockwave story there.

Shockwave returned and made an alliance with Ravage and Starscream. He planned to take back leadership of the Decepticons from Scorponok. Ratbat had died some time earlier. I believe he was killed by Scorp.

Scorponoks control of the Decepticons as leader was diminishing, because of past failures. Lucky for him Optimus Prime surrendered. Optimus did this in order to hopefully get Scorponok to see reason in that all the Cybertronians needed to be united to fight Unicron. Scorponok came around just as Shockwave attacked.

That was one of the best issues of the later run, and Shockwaves and Scorponoks battle is very popular event in the old series.

However before a winner is declared, Primus teleports all the Cybertrons on Earth to Cybertron. When Unicron finally attacks, Shockwave finds it more logical to leave Cybertron to it's fate. Starscream agrees, and they take the Ark and make a run for it. Unfortunately a recently resurrected Megatron is on board along with an Alternate Universe Galvatron. Both meet each other, fight. They then go on to team up, and fight Shockwave. And then the final wild card, Autobot Ratchet(also recently resurrected) crashes the Ark into Earth killing everyone.

In Generation 2, Starscream and Megatron were Resurrected, but Megatron apparently found it better to leave Shockwave offline.

Ah, but in "Regeneration One", Shockwave was resurrected alongside Starscream. After Megatron's death, both Decepticons return to Cybertron where Starscream becomes possessed once again by the Underbase and subsequently destroys Jhiaxus and the Cybertronian Empire brain trust. Both Decepticons reconnect with Ravage and leave Cybertron, joining the surviving Autobots and Decepticons as ambassadors of peace.
