Amph The Transformers. More than meets the eye!

If this is truly Bay's last kick at the can, I'd wager he'd want to do Unicorn just so he can literally blow up entire planets. yeah, I know, TF3/4 were supposedly Bay's last movies but he probably will eventually stop (just so Paramount can finally have these movies come out at a once a year pace with multiple directors instead of waiting on Bay to get around to it).

Evil Optimus? Well, Optimus in the movies has gotten progressively more brutal until eventually the climax literally has him blowing away Kelsey Grammer in slow motion so, hey, why not?

 

Maybe he will show up. But the main baddies are the Quintessons.

 

My opinion on these films is they are fun. I enjoy them for what they are I'm not gonna act like the original G1 cartoon was high-art but the shows have gotten better and Transformers can be complex like IDW comics but I doubt most people think of Cybertronian politics when they think of Transformers anyway tbh.

The 1st one is a dope popcorn action blockbuster film. I was a bit disappointed at first since I was 9 and there was more human character plot then actual robots but I've learned that's what makes the first one fun. That battle at the end is great alone.

Revenge of the Fallen was trash to me. I liked there was more robot fights when I first saw it at 11 years old but I didn't get any plot, or interest out of it. I was bored by it actually.

I came in Dark of the Moon with low expectations but I actually had a blast with this one.I live around Chicago, so there was a familiar aspect to it for me. Sure, there is little plot but the film was like an extended version of the battle in 1. Shockwave, Sentinel's betrayal, etc. was pretty cool. I had fun with it and thought it was a good conclusion.

The 4th one, super unpopular opinion, but I actually liked this one too. Lockdown was a cool villain and I had fun, surprisingly.


Overall, I grew up with Transformers in G1, Armada, Energon, Animated and it's reboots over the years, so I like them for what they are. Revenge of the Fallen is the only awful one for me. The first is a solid film, while the 3rd and 4th one to me are fun at worst...so sure. I'm up for this tbh. No shame

they've been filming the new movie out here outside of Phoenix. the new bumblebee Camaro looks awful. took a beautiful new 6thgen Camaro and made it look like something out of mad max

 

Yeah, I have a buddy out in Phoenix telling me he's near were they're shooting. I was hoping the next film wouldn't be earth bound. But if it were to be earth bound, I'd like them to bring back Megan Fox.

I liked the first and third films. Hate the second and fourth I always fall asleep during the latter. I don't begrudge anyone who likes these but at this point I'm done with this franchise

 

See I had the exact opposite experience. I liked the first one well-enough, hated the next two, and felt like the fourth one was actually an improvement. It's not really a GOOD film, but it's a step up from ROTF and DOTM imo.

Also over and under on whether or not Bay will bother to explain Megatron being, well Megatron again? Or will he just try and pretend like the whole Galvatron thing never happened (which he's done before in these films after all)?

 

Oh he cannot even keep the film-verse mythology consistent from film to film. which is "impressively" incompetent.
