Transformers: The Movie coming back to theaters for the 35th Anniversary. I'm finally excited about a theatrical offering this year!
Finished the final part of the Transformers War For Cybertron Trilogy on Netflix Good series, it covered all the eras very well. Nicely animated. It's great strength though was making Megatron a sympathetic character, at least to begin with. And Optimus Prime came across as a more flawed and conflicted leader, it was he after all that effectively caused Cybertron's fall even if he did it for valid reasons.
I enjoyed the War for Cybertron trilogy but I felt it lost it's way in part2 and part 3 was weird until the second half. I think a sequel is worthwhile and I'll watch it if they do.
Kingdom was definitely my favourite out of the trilogy. It's was a great trilogy overall however. Well animated except if I had to nitpick one thing, it's the bendy torso sections that I kept noticing and distracting me. The voice acting wasn't bad but I do wish they'd have kept the original voices. I need to re-watch Beast Wars now
^ Yeah there are a couple clips on Youtube where someone took the video of the Kingdom scenes and added the audio voice work from the original Beast Wars voice actors. I thought the new V.O. was okay, but it would have been great if they went OG.

Since I went on my sabbatical, a lot has happened with the figures. Hate to triple post back to back. "Transformers: Earthrise" cast. https://news.tfw2005.com/2022/07/22...ormers-earthspark-officially-announced-461557 https://news.tfw2005.com/2022/07/22...k-panel-details-first-official-trailer-461555 Wave 3 of the "Legacy" line. Pointblank with Peacemaker. Dead End. Crankcase. Skullgrin. Inferno. Armada Starscream. Transmetal II Megatron. Orion Pax. Alpha Trion. Burn-Out. IDW Blurr. Clampdown. Cosmos. Cybertron Overdrive. Roadhauler. G2 Road Rocket. RID Scourge. Goldbug. Cyclonus with Nightstick.
Some neat ones in there. Did G1 ever show Alpha Trion in an alt-mode? Making him look like one of the Sweeps is a very interesting choice. Him being one of the earliest Cybertronians, it would position him to be a creation of Primus as a mirror to Unicron's Sweeps. An angel to a demon, so to speak.
Ugh, Pete Davidson is voicing Mirage in "Rise of the Beasts". I guess we can't have one good Transformers movie, can we?
if you were annoyed by most of the Transformers movies , wait until we give you the talents of Pete Davidson
I rewatched all of the recent live action Transformers films. They were much better the 2nd time around thankfully.
YouTube version: Looks good! I'm glad they're continuing to take their cues from Bumblebee and making it a quasi-reboot. And Arcee and Jazz getting bigger roles is also promising.
Prime looks like Prime This looks like it could be good I wait on the inevitable disappointment. If it can maintain Bumblebee levels of good then it should be OK
This looks..good? Is it a…prequel, sequel, in betweenquel, or multiversequel? Because it looks like we got Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal and tgey know each other? I always thought they were the same Optimus but at different periods in our history through transformers lore.
If you go by G1/BW lore, then they were separate beings (much like the two different Megatrons), but when the Maximals discovered the crashed Ark on ancient Earth, he had to become the caretaker of Optimus Prime's spark for a period of time, so they were kinda merged in that moment until he returned it (so that he and the others could awaken in the 1980's as they originally did). Here, they can do whatever they want (well, outside of potentially violating Bayformer lore; ie: that's why there's no Megaton). But there is the suggestion of some form of time travel with the past and future references. But that would still make this a Bumblebee sequel, the two of them together representing a prequel series to the original live action films.
