The Ultimate Duel: The Gummi Bears Vs. The Care Bears

The other day, while bored out of our minds, my friend and began to debate who was better, the Gummi Bears or the Care Bears. (Personally I favor the Gummi Bears.) Anyway, I then began to ponder what my fellow JCers thought and so this thread was born!

So...

I'd have to say the Gummi Bears,becuase one of them is a wizard,and they've fought off real threats like ogres.

The Gummi Bears are also Dashing and daring, Courageous and caring, and Faithful and friendly. Plus they have stories to share.

 

But...but... I love them both!

In fact, just this afternoon, I was feeling nostalgic, and I went to a local HotTopic and bought a Cheer Bear beanie. I wanted one of the 20th anniversary bears, but I want to shop around and see if I can get one for less first. I also picked up a (old school) Strawberry Shortcake air freshner for my car.

Didn't see anything Gummi bears though...

 

On top of that, magic and mystery are part of their history, along with the secret of gummi berry juice.

 

Okay wait... okay I was thinking of the Gummi Bears snacks compared to the Care Bears TV show... okay now that my retardation is in full circle, I'll have to say the Gummi Bears.

I say Care Bears all the way. Gummi Bears were cool, but Care Bears are simply better. And if anyone has seen the care bear movies, you'd go with care bears

And they have such clever names like "Friendship bear" and "Grumpy bear." I like how care bears each have something special on their cute little tummies. Plus they were cuddly and small and cute.

Of course, if I were a guy, I might have vote Gummi Bears, but I'm not.

Plus the Care Bear cousins! Man, they were cool, as well.

The gummi bears song was pretty good, but the care bears song was better. Or songs, as you will find out in the movies

 

Yeah I'll have to agree with Tracy there and say that the Care Bears are better.

 

Tonight must be the night for me to show my age ... *rolls eyes and takes a deep breath* Ummmm ... I remember when Care Bears first came out and I had several of the smaller, plastic ones and one of the larger ones (Cheer Bear I think). Gummy Bears are Disney's "rip-off" of the Care Bears. The Care Bears outnumber the Gummy Bears and they've got the Care Bears Stare!!!! That was far better than a smaller group of bears bouncing around on their rumps!!!!


I cast my vote for the Care Bears!!!!! And if you've ever had anyone "stare" at you with that "evil-eye" look, then you'd know how powerful a "stare" can be!!!

When I was a kid I used to have baseball games between my Star Wars figures and my sister's care bears (yes, I didn't have any friends as a child). When I was like 8 I saved up my allowance for like 2 months to buy my little sister a stuffed Cozy Heart Penguin (which of course she lost, ungrateful . . .)

That said, remember that episode of Gummi Bears where the chick got locked in a cage and she was singing "gummi berry, gummi berry juice. makes you bounce like, bounce like kangaroos"? Just can't beat that.

 

Care Bears would own the Gummy Bears. They had flying cloud cars, could use rainbows and would put the love of the Care Bears into the Gummies with the Care Bear stare.

Bottomline.... Gummy Bears would be polishing rainbows and stars in that cloudy place the Care Bears lived in.

I have evidence that Grumpy Bear was having an affair with Rainbow Brite. That is enough to topple the Care Bear Administration and let the Gummis run wild!
