Cry me a River by Justin Timberlake,

Give me two minutes alone with Justin, and I'll really give him something to cry about.

All For One by Bryan Adams, Sting and... I can't remember. Someone. It's from The Three Musketeers soundtrack. Something about it just drives me up the wall. As far as I'm concerned, it's one of the worst songs ever written.

I think the song is called "Big Yellow Taxi" *I think* but I don't know the name of the guy. Amy Grant did a catchy cover too, but hers sounds disturbingly cheerful, especially considering the subject matter.

Counting Crows have done the recent cover. Their Mr Jones was a shcoking song in my opinion. I thought it was a song from the 60's or 70's when I first heard it.

"Say my Name" is the worst song of the late 190's besides "Believe" anything from, Backstreet, Britney, or their wannabes and the Titanic song.

Some or all of these may have already been mentioned, so I will just add my opinion to the mix:

Barracuda: I really hate this song, or anything by Heart for that matter. But whenever this song plays on the radio, my wife has to listen to the whole thing, at full volume.

Hotel California: to quote Wayne's World, "the ultimate party killing song".

The One and Only: Chesney Hawkes. From the Doc Hollywood sound track. What a piece of crap.

    Anything by Kenny Loggins

Right Here Waiting: Richard Marx should have his fingers broken for this one.

That damn song that the Rembrandt's did for Friends. Hate that show and the song equally. Actually, any theme song from any TV shows are horrible. But this only applies to the ones that have lyrics.

Hold Me Down: Tommy Lee. I like him as a drummer with the Crue, but as a solo artist, he sucks.

This Is How You Remind Me: Nickelback. Just a stupid song.

    What's Up: 4 Non Blondes-SUCKS, SUCKS, SUCKS!

    Macarena: Nuff said

Don't You Forget About Me: Simple Minds

Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad/Two Steps Behind: Def Leppard. Now I like Def Leppard, but those two songs blow on so many levels.

Any kind of Movie Rock. For those of you not familiar with that term, allow me to explain. Movie Rock is a type of hard rock, usually associated with Stallone, Van Damme or Steven Segal movies. It plays during a training montage, or flashback sequence. Typically when the hero's best friend/brother/teacher is seriously hurt and near death, and the hero has to walk around the city to think things over. Or is sitting at the foot of the injured friend's/brother's/teacher's hospital bed. It goes on to kind of tell the story and explain how the hero is going to have to confront his demons/defeat the mad dog killer/take down the drug lord that has caused all the trouble in the first place. Usually written by Frank Stallone. Said Movie Rock is usually played again during the end credits. BASEketball actually made fun of movie rock rather well.

Does anyone remember that song that was played in Tim Burton's Mars Attacks! that they used to kill all the martians? That is the worst song ever.

I might be wrong, but it might be a song by Woody Guthrie (b 1912, d. 1967)

"Hotel California" depresses the hell out of me.

I like "Dont you forget about me" by Simple Minds.

Mambo #5 I can't stand to hear anymore, or anything by Britney Spears. She's the biggest lip singer if there ever was one.

I think that Mars Attacks song is called "Indian Love Call" or something like that. I'll have to look it up. It's not so much bad as it is funny though.

That whole idea by the way is just a rip off of the song "Puberty Love" killing the Killer Tomatoes.

Edit: I just checked. It was "Indian Love Call" by Slim Whitman.

Am I a nerd for knowing that or what?

    Hey Party People,

I agree with you saberwielder79 about "Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds. However, lets add two more "gems" to that list.

"MacArthur Park" by Donna Summer. WTF? Will somebody explain this song to me? Please! and "Shout" by Tears for Fears. Too overrated. Too over-the-top. And too overplayed on all those '80's radio shows.

    Happy 4th of July. Peace.

You are right. How could I have forgotten "Shout" by Tears for Fears? Way overrated and overplayed. Besides, it sucks like a black hole.

My god, I can't believe I never realized this before.

    The worst song ever...

In the history of the world...

    Is...

"I'm Proud to be an American"

It sucked before 9/11, and then it got played 3089748903275823859273958273572938748231974982375273985 times a day and it REALLY sucked until it created a giant suckage black hole in the universe that sucked in everything else that sucked so nothing else could ever suck in the same way that it sucked.

    Or something like that.

I forget the name of the guy who sang that (Lee something?) but he deserves to be dragged out and shot.

Before Desert Storm (1991), "Proud to be an American" played every once in a while and it was ok. but during Desert Storm, and also after 9/11, it just played on and on and on, like eninem and justin timberlake songs.

I remember back in the 80's, how much "We are the world" played, and all the radio stations decided to play that song at 9am on Lavor day or Memorial day. ugh.

I can't believe that some people have actually said that Hotel California is one of the worst songs ever. It's one of the greatest Rock 'n' Roll songs ever with an amazing guitar solo at the end. You guys make me laugh.
