Except the long standing "Will of the force" undermines all you said. All plot holes and character inconsistencies are all because the force wills Return of the Jedi happen!
Just a reminder: He murders every child that went through the life experience he had at that age. No matter what excuse that you can conjure up for that, a hug from Dad, as Dave Filoni said was Anakin's problem, doesn't answer the prequel's problems. It just doesn't! The guy was a bad egg. He supported fascism from the moment he started dating Padme. And he gave it up for fascism. EDIT: And he's a bad egg because George Lucas wrote him to be. Because *Gasp* he took no risks!
No, but tell me again about how Anakin's orphanage made him so. And how a lack of a father was what did it. And, additionally, how that is hopeful to all kids who don't have parents and are looking for their own hope. Given that's the main drive of Star Wars according to George.
It wasn't the lack of a father. It was the fear, first, of losing his mother, and then the guilt of not keeping her safe. And feeling generally impotent to keep his loved ones from suffering.
All of my Einstein knowledge comes from Young Einstein. Did he actually say we have lived our lives already? I don’t recall that from the film.
Anakin was too old and too emotionally conflicted to be entered into the Order. He was trained out of loyalty by someone who couldn't help him deal with that conflict under a code that told him that he shouldn't be emotional. Qui Gon would have trained him better, taught him that emotions aren't bad and maybe even let him see his mother (who he tried to free along with Anakin) even if the Council didn't like it because he'd know it's what was necessary. The very reason kids are taken to be Jedi at such a young age is it limits emotional attachment to their parents and makes it easier for the Jedi to indoctrina-I mean teach them.
Qui-Gon would have tried, but Palpatine was very adamant about pushing Anakin towards the dark side. Sooner or later, he'd have manipulated things his way.
He had a mathematical basis for his theories and there is observational evidence of both general and special relativity. What are you talking about?
I blame Rum I have also decided to go dry Sun - Thu from Monday as I think lockdown is having a bad effect on me. Any advise on maintaining sobriety when you only want to limit alcohol to a couple of days a week rather than being sober for a couple of days a week?
My advice? I'd tell you to drink the damned bottle and get more. But seriously, quit it out of your life, or at least cut it down. I have seen the expression of a dog sucking the last of the marrow out of a bone and knowing there is no more. I wish I took a photo, because that is what everyone's reaction to this thread is now.
Don’t know Sam Witfield but the rest are great, esp Olyphant. The final couple of episodes showed promise. This could turn into a good show next season. In his defence though she did selfishly turn off the camera he set up in her bedroom.
Ritchie keeps posting so I think I'll open the Vodka I'll stop on Monday Not wishing to disparage those who do have issues with substance's BTW. I do genuinely flip flop and lockdown has made cutting back harder. From speaking to colleagues and friends, I don;t think I'm alone with that fact either. anyway Star Wars sux etc...
