Nah, besides he was just in a little boy's imagination. An annoying, annoying little boy.

 

Gabara makes his triumphant return in the upcoming Godzilla: Singular Point anime series, coming to Netflix this year!

I love Revenge of Godzilla. Yes I realize it was terrible.

 

Its not terrible from a certain point of view.

 

Half of the monster scenes are stock footage from other films.

 

I’ve always enjoyed his bizarre meow roar.

 

These kaiju gifs are neat. It's fun hearing everyone talk about their favorites. Mothra is my favorite along with Godzilla of course. It was cool when Mothra teamed up with Battra.
King Ghidorah is just so awesome too. GMK was fun.

I like Destoroyah and Spacegodzilla too. Most all of them are cool, really.
It was wild how Final Wars had like 15 kaiju in it! That movie was crazy. I loved it.

 

I effing love Final Wars. The more bat **** crazy a plot in a Godzilla movie, the more I love it. That and vs. King Ghidorah with its insane time travel plot. Those movies are pure fun.

 

I'm definitely a Destroyer fan (and back in high school I spent approximately way too much money on a plush Destoroyah that I still have). It's a good combination of concept, design, and theme that the series can't usually coordinate as well as it did for that film, and it actually relies on history showing again and again how nature points out the folly of men *guitar riff*.

Plus its theme sounds like the evil remix of Godzilla's. BECAUSE IT IS THE ANTI-GODZILLA.

I'm hoping for a Mechagodzilla Mecha King Ghidorah team up in K vs G.

 

I’m in this camp as well. I always tended to enjoy the campier films anyhow.

 

That scene in Final Wars summarizes how Toho felt about the American Godzilla

 

Nope we want Mechagodzilla

 

If we see Zilla in the Universal series do I hope they use her for something more than just a throwaway gag.

Maybe something similar to how she was used in the Godzilla: Rulers of Earth comic.

...You know since we know that Zilla is female and Godzilla is thought to be male, maybe we will find out that they belong to the same sexual dimorphic species. They will do the whole fight between them that the fans want and then we find out that that was part of their courting ways.

 

That theme is terrific. Great wandering chromatic low brass lines with emphatic diminished chord accents.

I was looking at the Godzilla vs Megaguirus blu ray cover and I know I watched this awhile ago. I recall it having an Alien vibe. Might need to rewatch this soon.

And speculatuon about the new movie has me inspired to watch Vs Mechagodzilla II (1993)and Against Mechagodzilla (2002)which I've got but have yet to watch.

Godzilla 1984 on blu ray is also patiently waiting to be watched.
I've been distracted by other genres and films, but I'm gonna get back into Gojira/kaiju films into the leadup to the new movie.

 

the 2002 one is really good. I watched it a few months back and realized i had never seen it.

 

I'm looking forward to watching the Mechagodzilla installments.

I've also not finished watching this bootleg of Godzilla vs Hedorah that Amazon sent me which has terrible audio, visual, and dub quality and was a ripoff at $25 imo. I know some of you have heard me gripe about this already. Sorry. I'll get over it and watch it soon. It was just a huge disappointment quality wise compared to all the brilliant blu ray 2 packs I have from the 1991-2004 releases.

 

I liked American Godzilla

Yes it's not a masterpiece but neither were many of the Japanese movies.
