    "POWWERRRR! ABSOLUTE POWERRR!"

That line is spoken to Anakin when he changes to his ugly self, while frying Mace. This is all revealed in "The Making of Star Wars" book. He is looking back over his shoulder while doing this, and looks quite weird with the hair. That's the reason why it is stretched out. He is yelling this crazily to Anakin.

"Are you threatening me, Master Jedi?"

I like that one the most as of what I've seen and read.

Doesn't he say "Your time is over. The Sith rule the galaxy, now and forever!" at some point in the movie? Because I think that's pretty cool.

There was a line a while back that went "The Galaxy is an immense galaxy... and it's mine!!"

I assumed this was it, but it hasn't appeared anyway.

And unfortanetly I haven't seen any sign of "Fool! Do you think the fear you feel is mine?!" In the movie.

I've always liked "He would be a great asset" It's just so cold and calculating. But then, there really aren't any bad Emporer lines, as i think someone else pointed out.

I thought it was going to be "Happy Empire Day, Master Yoda". That, or "Fool, I AM the darkside!"

Some "Absolute Power" he has: Mace Windu beats the snot out of him and he has to go crying for Anakin.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Mace Windu is indisputably the most powerful Jedi in the history of Star Wars. It takes both Anakin AND the Emperor to beat him.

    Who would've thought?

If you bothered to read it all, you would see Palpatine says "Power! Absolute Power!!" After Anakin has cut Mace's arm off and he is blasting him out the window.

just out of curiosity...what was THE classic palpatine line??

    Was it unlimited power?

Because I can think of a couple that I liked better than that.

Who'd have thought that it would actually turn out to be one of the most cringe-inducing moments of ROTS.

I loved the "unlimited power" line! I thought it was AWESOME.
Talk about CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. Those 2 words convey Palpatine's
entire character and motivation. That's what he's after!
Have you ever seen Palpy/Sidious happier?

There's a saying that power is the ultimate aphrodisiac.
Well, one poster around here said it seemed like Palpatine
was having a Sith-gasm during that scene. [face_laugh]

UNLIMITED POWER! Once Mace was dead, basically that's what
Palpatine had until Vader tossed him down a shaft many years
    later.

Or not. More like one of the coolest moments in the film, actually. It's the Emperor acting like, what do you know, the Emperor.

Yeah that was me...if you look at how he's acting right after Mace's death it does seem like that.

I liked his lines with Yoda the best.

    "Master Yoda...you survived."

"Your arrogance blinds you Master Yoda."

And of course him talking to Darth Vader at the end.

"It seems in your anger, you killed her"

I disagree. It seems like Palpatine just did it to get Anakin to take his side. He made himself look like the weak one while Mace looked like the aggressor. Also, Mace wanted to kill the Emperor. Besides not being the Jedi way, it made Mace and all the Jedi look like the bad guys. He kept saying how weak he was as he begged for help...yet when Anakin cut his hand off, he had no problem frying him. It was an act. Mace was the best duelist with the lightsaber(hence the purple almost Sith like lightsaber) but the Emperor was more powerful.

if palpatine was simply playing mace, then how is he the best duelist? you have seen the fight between yoda and sidious? yoda wins every saber lock, he is better than mace. on the OS it states that yoda has bested mace, or was palpatine faking the duel with yoda too? was he just playing possum the whole damn movie?
