HAs any one made any stats for him?

 

I like Tholmes character (well he looks cool) but as a jedi I think he really is mediocre. his track record is less then impressive

The Good
He trained qulian vos (he cant be blamed for quilans initial fall)
He trained ayala secura (one of the top jedi)
Uncovered the bacta scam in the stark hyperspace war + fought in the battle
Impressed dooku when the two duelled (but was still no match for him)


The bad
For some reason he reintroduced vos to his fear of the azanti (fear leads to the dark side)
A heir to a twilek clan got captured while under tholme protection
Got captured and badly out fought (although it was two on one) by the moraguci
Walked into aurra sings trap had to be saved by secura
Foolishly attempted to capture dooku with only sora for help
Insisted that vos be sent undercover to infiltrate the sepratists (vos feel to the darkside)
Insisted to his fellow jedi that vos was still on there side despite proof to the contrary
Finally accepts the truth about vos and gets killed in a duel with his former apprentice


Tholme is a jedi with many flaws much like the dark woman I expect his run in with dooku (he lost his eye and his leg) has made him less formidable I recon he should be no higher then a lvl 12. Im sure master kazur will sort you out for stats

 

I'm really sorry to disappoint everyone but this is one character I don't feel I know enough about to create "accurate" stats for.
But from what I do know I would have to agree with Sithreaper. No higher than level 12. Exceptionally low wisdom (to account for his obvious bad perception of the world around him). this will also affect his Sense Force skills in a negative way.
His combat prowess should be slighty above average but he is careless and defeated easily by equal and more powerful opponents (Vos and Dooku). I would only give him the lightsaber defense feat, if any. (not knight or master defense).

I realize this isn't much but its the best I can do with the limited information I have on the character.

 

I agree, Tholme should be level 12. Maybe a Guardian 7/Investigator 4/Master 1 combo...

 

Isn't this thread a little pointless? Isn't WotC planning to release the Clone Wars Sourcebook? And if so, wouldn't Tholme be presented in there, if for no other reason than his connection to Quinlan and the path Quinlan had taken during the Clone Wars?

 

AFAIK said sourcebook has been cancelled. There's a quote by Sue Rostoni around the official site. Yeah, it's a shame.

And, anyway, why should it be pointless? The point is to get stats and to use them in a game session, right?

 

For now wizzards of the coast has swrpg on hold indefintely.

You guys raise some good points about tholme not being that awesome, but i think he needs to be higher then level twelve. After all quinlan is level 12. He's one of the head jedi investigators and he has trained at least 1.5 padawans, so he needs more then 1 level of master.

 

Again, you can have trained 10 apprentices and not have a single Level in Jedi Master. You could even have the rank of Jedi Master without having the class. I think level 12 is close to accurate.
Ki-Adi-Mundi is consideres a top Jedi, and he's only level 11.
Besides Tholme was defeated by Quinlan Vos so alot higher than level 12 wouldn't be justified. I would consider the two to be somewhat equal but Vos has the advantage of the Dark Side and Tholme the disadvantage of being somewhat careless/reckless.

 

I?m currently not knowledgeable enough about SW RPG to make a decent tholme but here?s some stuff to take into consideration if you create him.
Tholme should lack wisdom he?s made one bad choice after another.
The guy should have a high charisma because he basically gets yoda, mace & the other jedi council members to go against their better judgement.
I?m not sure what lightsaber style he uses but I would suggest from what dooku said when they were duelling that he is at least knows a bit of form 2.
When he fought two people at once he was quickly taken out, while vos lasted a lot longer and took one of them out
Vos describes his former master as being more in tune with the force then he is, but not as much as secura.
He showed investigation skills + sense motive in the stark hyperspace war.
The Force skills I?ve seen him use are force push + cutting himself off from the force (?)
He is definitely less formidable in combat after facing dooku.

 

First off, where did you see he cut himself off from the Force? If that did happen, I think he just hid himself from other Force-sensitives, which is the Force Stealth skill.

If you want to get a decent profile of Tholme, you should read the following:

Rite of Passage
Jedi: Aayla
Jedi: Dooku
Republic 54 (I think. It takes place before Jedi; Dooku chronologically and we see Quinlan on Nar Shaddaa with Agen Kolar pursuing him)
Show of Force
Dreadnaughts of Rendili
Trackdown
Seige of Saleucami (ongoing)

Based on Trackdown, he should have ranks in the Hide and Move Silently skills and the feat Stealthy. Maybe even a Skill Emphasis in one or even both of these skills.

Also, based on what I've seen of him, he should have some levels as a Jedi Investigator and maybe one or two as a Jedi Master.
